He has it under control he thinks😂Marcus Here featured Love's Ambition. His synopsis describes Hoaming as knowing…
Yeh, I really hope not. I mean from the summaries and bts, it seems they get back together, so I can’t see it happening. Have you seen the ep 14 preview? Seems like that’s when the divorce talk and arguments start, so maybe if you do decide to wait, can wait till then.
Heat index, 29,627 btw, so close to 30K, insane performance for only day 4. It's officially the third highest heat index drama for tencent in 2025, and only day 4. If it keeps going this way, could possibly get number 1.
They only licensed for it to release on Netflix in Taiwan, so right now will only be on Netflix in Taiwan. But in the future, might be in other regions but for now, only Netflix Taiwan.
I posted a comment below about this, but I feel like it's because we haven't seen ML's background and backstory,…
Yeh still a long way to go, I agree he's definitely scheming and deceitful, I hope we get to see his POV or backstory, like we did with FL. I could be wrong though, he couple just be a complete jerk, but I'm hoping its deeper than that
This drama makes me stressed when I think about how Xu Yan is going to deal with the aftermath of all her lies…
I posted a comment below about this, but I feel like it's because we haven't seen ML's background and backstory, like we have seen FL's. We sympathize and understand FL's lies and stuff because we know her painful past, so we root for and support her no matter what. But for ML it's all a mystery. We see Fang Lie use her sisters drowning to blackmail ML, it shows that whatever happened really effects ML, as we rarely see him get angry expect about that. So I think he also has a tragic backstory that I hope helps his character be more redeemable. But I do agree, he will need to redeem himself, not excusing what he's done and will do.
I find it interesting how nobody is hating on the age gap here - the actor is 39, the actress 26 (that's a 13…
I love shadow love, were people hating on Song Yi? Didn't see any of that in the comments? Didn't even know she was older. Personally, I don't mind cdrama age gaps either way, some of my favorite cdramas are nNothing but you, Fated boy and Rational life, all with an older FL and younger ML. I've never seen age gap shaming either way on mdl, but maybe I just miss the comments that do it.
I think the roles important here as well. ML is meant to be a mature CEO, and the director talked about trying to create realism, a realistic urban couple and realistic perspective on urban life. CEO's are meant to be older, so I think age wise he fits the role.
The ML better gets a redemption arc. If not he is just like those typical CEO in short drama who is rude and snobbish.…
I agree, we see from ep 6, when Fang Lie mentions her sister that drowned, it made ML angry, and we rarely ever see him really angry. So I think he has trauma regarding that, but I think he will redeem himself after the divorce. I hope so at least, like you said, I hope it's not like the typical rude CEO's in some dramas.
Oh. I love this cat-and-mouse game. So, bring it on~
Haha same, very exciting their cat and mouse game. I do look forward to seeing him chase FL back. Feel like so far FL's been the one chasing him, so soon we get to see the opposite.
If you know it's rude why say it? Literally you say I know it's rude then proceed to be rude. If you know it's…
No problem, and maybe I over reacted a bit as well, didn't mean to attack you for it or anything like that. I agree, I love how MDL lets people discuss their different opinion on dramas, thats what makes it interesting, would be boring if everyone agreed.
Some people might not like this take and disagree and thats ok, but I feel like we shouldn't judge ML too early. Don't get me wrong, he's a liar and a manipulator and is definitely using FL, but the FL is also a liar and manipulator. But we sympathies with her because we know her background, her terrible childhood and the reasons for her lies and manipulation. Don't get me wrong, I like the FL and hope she gains the happiness and love she deserves.
But for the ML, it's all a mystery. Think of it like this, if the POV swapped, we started with ML's tragic backstory, and then we see why he's lying and using the FL, where as we have no idea about the FL and only see her as being a manipulator and liar, with no idea what she's been through, we would hate her as well.
Now ML just may turn out to be a total jerk. But he definitely has a backstory and from hints we can guess it's pretty tragic. So let's not rush to judge the guy. I hope we get a look into his past and see how his backstory shaped him, just like FL shaped hers. Not saying anything he has done is excusable, but just like we sympathize with the FL because we understand her, maybe we'll also end up understanding and sympathizing with the ML as well. Although that doesn't mean approving of what he's done and still he'll need to earn FL's love back.

Haha you're not don't worry. He's pretty underrated I think but been in some good stuff, check out his other works after this drama if you're interested.

I understand what you're saying, and of course you're entitled to your opinion and I don't mean to attack you for them, just thought the way you said it originally was rude, thats all. I appreciate that you tried to put it in a respectful way. I like when everyone talks about dramas in the comment section, sharing different views and stuff, disagreeing and all that is great and enjoyable, as long as everyone knows the line. Thats all, I appreciate that we both agree that people shouldn't be attacked for their views and should be respectful about them as well. I don't think anyone should be attacked for their different views or opinions, just hope everyone can be respectful thats all. I understand you didn't mean it in a disrespectful way, and was just in the context of the drama and your enjoyment.
Anyone has novel spoilers or knows where I can find some?
The novel is completely different to the drama, the drama is pretty much a whole different story, so you won't really be able to get any spoilers from the novel. The novel is only 6 chapters/pages, super short and completely different.
