I agree, honestly especially since this had no recent promo, got air dropped and like you said modern romance dramas normally just don't do as well heat wise, was not expecting this. But glad it happened, happy for her after everything she's been through. Also happy for William Chan and Wan Peng as I aways felt they should get more attention.

Literally, only like 6 proper pages, pretty much, FL's sister gets pregnant from her BF who wants nothing to do with the kid. She commits suicide, FL raises the baby alone, after ML cheats on her and breaks up with her. Thats pretty much the plot.
Completely different to the drama, FL's sister still very much live in the drama.

The novel is completely different from the drama, like really, it's a whole different story, so honestly not many spoilers you can get from the novel, but if you do want can give a quick recap of the novel. Its super short only 6 chapters/pages.

Nice feedback, definitely agree with what you're saying, especially about FL rising after her divorce and downfall (loosing her job etc). And just for more information, the dowry system in china for marriage is when a women is getting married, the groom's family pays the brides family some money or gifts as a dowry, its meant to show respect for the bride and her family, a sign of respect and appreciation. Unfortunately, in cdramas greedy and bad parents can use this to sell of their daughters to the highest bidder, whoever will give a big dowry. The dowry is meant to be for the bride to use, not for her parents to steal and use.

It's crazy how ML knows and is just toying with her, when both ML and FL's secrets get out gonna be crazy I reckon. We have seen so many of FL's secrets, looking forward to seeing more of Ml's secrets, the spoiler's I've read make me so excited for when it all comes out

Possibly, but unlikely as we know after they divorce he purses her and it seems from reuters they do get back together, which seems very unlikely if he cheats. Plus Fang lie's sister who drowned seems to have a connection with ML, so I doubt he will cheat with her. So it's possible, but I think highly unlikely.

His young brother Haochun, is actually his son. I don't think we have seen his ex wife yet, theres a theory she passed away. I think the woman you are talking about isFang Lie, she is not his ex wife. But possibly the younger sister of his ex wife as we hear talk about how her sister drowned that seems to upset ML.
