LOL , I've the same question. Do i really need to catch Chinese Paladin 2005 before moving on to 3, 4, 5? I started…
CP5 is connected with CP1 because of the ML from CP1, the Anu character who was the friend of FL in CP1, and the new Nuwa girl for CP5, but they decided to use different names in CP5 for the ML and 2nd FL from CP1. The Nuwa girl in CP5 is the granddaughter of the leads in CP1. The ML in CP1 is still alive during the CP5 era and eventually falls in love with Anu who became the teacher of the new Nuwa girl. In CP5, they also mentioned about the second couple from CP3 briefly. CP3 is also related to CP1 because it's a 'prequel' which still portrays the Nuwa story and either the ML from CP3 is the reincarnation of ML in CP1 or ML from CP1 is a doppelganger from ML in CP3 and If I remember correctly, CP3 leads are the grandparents to ML from CP1.
I've watched chinese paladin 3 first. As it's mentioned as prequel to chinese paladin 2005... How exactly this…
It's been so long but aren't the leads in CP3 grandparents to the ML in CP1? I also think Tang Yan's character was the grandmother of FL in CP1. I think Li Xiao Yao was a reincarnation of Jing Tian because in CP3, It was mentioned that ML was undergoing his mortal tribulations, but I could be wrong. To answer your last question, it's in the same universe because ML in CP1 had to timetravel back to the past to do what he needed to do and he was trying to change the past but couldn't.
They're not exactly different stuff. their stories happens in the same universe. Th lead of the third one is the…
I get what you mean. I believe they decided to keep Fox Spirit Matchmaker because it is based on a very popular Donghua with that same title name. If you see that title name then you already know that it's a live adaptation from the Donghua. The leads in part 1 are the main cast for the anime, but part 2 and part 3 were also popular arcs among the netizens thus they deserved their own adaptations. Even if we didn't have part 2 and part 3, then part 1 would still have the name Fox Spirit Matchmaker in it. The production team also added emphasis like Yue Hong, Zhu Ye, and Wang Quan to the title name and different color scheme to each part. Even when they interview or talk with LSS, they will say "Zhu Ye" and not "Fox Spirit Matchmaker Zhu Ye" to ask about the drama. A second point is, it is good to keep the same main title name for all adaptations for people who don't know about the Donghua or drama because they will be able to tell that all 3 parts are linked with each other just based on the title name alone. If these people were to see Yue Hong, Zhu Ye, and Wang Quan then they wouldn't be able to tell that all 3 parts are linked with each other unless they researched about it or actually watched all 3 parts.
couldn't agree more about the Mother in law...someone posted that they didn't know how someone hadn't tried to…
Definitely! She's those type of character that are inhibiting and enabling other people's bad behaviors due to her being super duper bias, and even choosing them over her own son. These are the type of characters that I wish gets written off, but alas they still somehow survive with their small minded naiveness. I skipped to where the evil chick got caught and I was waiting for her to at least go off on the ML's mom, but nope nothing happened and nothing happened to the evil chick! Both of them got it easy! Ugh, I'm so thru with this drama...
Even the cast has no clue to who those kids are 😂. Also, the actress for Chu Yue said that she's not dead and she was supposed to act alive so it was her own imagination it seems?...🤣
I was about to comment on this, but you beat me to it 😂. I'm literally in the middle of watching this and it's so hilarious because they were also talking about that controversial ending and including family & friends on their interpretation of the ending 🤣.
From this, we can tell that the cast keeps in touch with eachother through the AJTL group chat.
And, a BIG yes to the whole cast reunion concert or my OTP photoshoot please!
This link has minimal info on this drama, they probably will start production in 2024:https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E4%B8%80%E5%BF%B5%E6%B1%9F%E5%8D%97Also…
I miss this drama so bad. Im trying to look for dramas like this with very strong and smart female peads but its…
If you haven't seen it already then the most similar to AJTL is Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei or also known as The Vigilant in Masks. I knew both dramas were similar, but now that I'm rewatching this classic myself I didn't realize that they had small similar details that would go unnoticed. Even the 2 female character names were borrowed for both dramas LOL like Sanniang and Ruyi but Ruyi being the female lead for AJTL and Sanniang for SHYZM. ML is smart and previously worked for the court, female lead can fight and is feisty, there's brotherhood and teamwork, and good dialogues too. Definitely more story driven with a very good minimal romance, but a good classic wuxia drama that deserves a season 2.
