My own speculation from looking at the painting in ep 5, the unidentified male and FL were either gods or protectors for the human race. The unidentified male in the picture has his back towards the viewers so I'm assuming that they don't want to show his face which means that there's a chance that it could also be Eul Tae. Eul tae has an obsession and hate towards the FL like she betrayed or wronged him. Maybe ML was originally a bulgasal and FL fell for him when she wasn't supposed to or ML got turned into a bulgasal by Eul Tae and thought it was FL's doing so he turned FL into a bulgasal thus getting cursed...or I might be off haha.

Haha! At this point, anything can happen. I was thinking that Si ho is possibly pregnant with their daughter.

There are small hints and ML gradually starts to care for FL.

Yes, I'm still mad at how negatively of an outlook the writer made her character to be. She needs to look on the bright and positive side of her choices. It's not like other people don't make sacrifices for their own choices too; like you say we gain and lose in life. She lost her freedom but she gained ML's love, affection, and was able to see and be near him; far better than the empress dowager who I believe is the truely caged bird but is taking things far more better than FL. Again, I'm sorry but FL is selfish.

Yes! They should have made FL accepted the fact that yes, the ML may never truly be hers wholeheartedly and that she would have to share his love, but unfortunately you can't help who you fall for as she was a court lady and fell for the crown prince; she should have had more faith and trust in his love to express hers. Sadly, I see her as a coward.

Exactly! I was disappointed with FL's character. I understood her and yet I didn't. I thought she would drop her facade after accepting ML but boy was I wrong. Ever since she was little, she knew that she belonged to the ML. She can never give her love or virginity to anyone else nor can she leave the palace without the royalty's permission. Also, she made the choice to be with him so idk why she just couldn't be happy and/or find ways to keep herself occupy because it's not like ML "didn't" love her. Fudge, he hella loved her! I'd be depressed and lonely in her case if he never loved her.

The first half of this show was really good and interesting, but the second half was just so bad. Honestly, it's already a good and strong standing show without the time travel. I'm still here wondering why they had to add time travel when we were never introduced to the FL's true background. The old Feng Wu was never bad and she pretty much just lost her cultivation. Instead, I would have honestly loved to see her side of the story of how she became strong again and get her revenge. Guess I'll go read the novel instead. Plus, you can totally tell that they were trying to gear up for a second season, but...where's my second season?...They could have ended everything in those 30 eps. I still would go back and watch it for the beginning eps, but other than that this show was a let down because one the ML pretty much disappeared in the later half of the show, two the villians died to easily, three we don't know who FL is, four the ending was weird.

Haha, the actress does like to pout. I've seen her in truth and dare, and her acting in there is similar in here with the pouting. I've decided to just watch it for ZRY and ZTA, but every new character intrigues me and the whole Xu background story; minus the fighting scene, I still can't get over how bad the fight choreography was. I hope the fighting doesn't stay this way since I just finished ep 3.

Loving her character too! It's been so long since I've seen a female actress looking so captivating in a male's traditional attire clothes. Above all, she can kick some arse too lol.

I wonder if XFN will get ZTA's weapon? From pictures, he has 2 swords that looks similar to hers.

Loved her since GPG! She looks super good in traditional. Idk if it's her selection or productions not giving her enough traditional dramas. I am so through with her modern dramas.

I just finished ep 6 but I completely agree with all your points and ratings. Good acting, interesting premise, but very bad writing with so many horrible characters.

I just finished ep 6 and I definitely agreed with stupid. So far, ep 6 takes the crown. I literally wanted to throw everyone outside for their stupidity.

First, Tang should be stronger than Suo Lan so Suo Lan shouldn't be that hard to get which was why the emperor had more people stayed behind and guard the wall. And, at this point, it doesn't matter if Suo Lan is alive or not because he created a coup, he's supposed to be sentenced to die even if they capture him alive unless the emperor forgives him, but I doubt Suo Lan can survive because the king's counsel will not let him live. Second, which goes back to me saying why show Tang being easily defeated by Haishi when his troops should be stronger than Suo Lan's troops? Tang was also with a bunch of soldiers too, but Haishi just flew straight at him. Tang and Suo Lan were both out to kill, the only person they didn't want to hurt was Ti Lan, but for main different reasons; Tang for Tilan and Suo Lan for the baby so in the end they wouldn't have hurt her. If it really was the emperor (the character I know him to be) then I'm pretty sure if he was defending then he would have known that he won't last so him being smarter than Haishi, why didn't he also think of just taking just Suo Lan out?...Plus, his character should've figured out right away that Suo Lan doesn't want to hurt Ti Lan because she was made to lure the emperor out. Like you say, the emperor was the main objective so why was he defending? Drop the drama and let's think logically. Let's say he did go the route of defending, honestly in truth how do we know if he would have been able to last before Ti Lan gives birth? The other scenario if he hadn't defended and was fighting head on to get to Suo Lan, what's the chance of him getting Suo Lan? Both are risky, and I guess the emperor would have chosen the defend route. But if we bring back the drama into play, if Haishi could do it, why couldn't the king do it when he was much a far greater fighter than Haishi. Plus, I'm laughing and mad because this scene was executed poorly and the emperor went out of character (Why he went out of character? Because he is usually smarter than this and able to prevent things from happening or at least has a plan B). We can state out facts all we want but to lose to Suo Lan was a bit too farfetched.

I thought of that scenario too, but Haishi only took out Tang limiting casualty. I know that she can beat Tang, but why couldn't the emperor take out Suo Lan too to limit casualty? Do you get what I mean? Before the emperor fought the rebels in front of Suo Lan, he was still pretty strong. Another scenario you could say is if the emperor went after Suo Lan then the rebels could have gotten to Tilan, but I'm pretty sure the emperor would have gotten to Suo Lan first. I understand that they probably executed the scene poorly, but it's still funny.

I felt like they could have made a better villain, someone they couldn't have anticipated against. FJM, HS, and DX are shown to be very smart, always a step ahead of their enemies, but Suo Lan to me wasn't even all that. Like they knew Zhu Nian was weird about hiding DX's brother's death, but they wouldn't investigate further because of Tilan's position which I get, but they should have kept secret spies around Suo Lan to follow his every move. If I was the emperor and even DX himself would have planted spies around Suo Lan because he has FJM's crew.
