In addition to everything you said, even if you love the romance in episodes 8 and 9 you're not going to see those…
Yes, first the teenagers 'romance', then Mi Hyun and Doo Shik, then we will get Jang Joo Won and his wife... But maybe in Jang Joo Won's episodes Mi Hyun and Doo Shik will make an appearance in the background, who knows? I tend to prefer to see couples who are actually together and the way they cope with their life and relationship, instead of them just meeting each other, falling in love and then credits roll. Here Doo Shik is missing, Joo Won's wife is dead so I don't think we'll get that, but we'll see
If we seriously get 7 episodes about adults now, I'm afraid that it's not gonna maintain its momentum. Even if you love adults' storyline, you have to consider that a lot of people grew attached to teenagers. And while in the first 7 eps we still got a little bit of parents (not that little to be exact) if they focus ONLY on the adults for next 7 eps, people will get anxious. Imagine any show with ensamble cast - like Modern Family, Glee, whatever - if half of the main characters disappeared for 7 eps, it would be really noticeable. If they were still in the background however, it wouldn't be so bad.
Also, I have a bit of a problem that all those 7 eps are flashbacks. I don't really feel like the plot is moving. 1 ep of flashback is ok, 2 - I'll manage, but 7? Man, I don't know. But I feel like the high stakes are in the present right now. The past is past
I don't know how it could have been done differently, merging both the present and past, but I seriously don't feel like waiting till ep 15 for the present time to return... i want to see the teenagers and parents grow even more, but there won't be enough time. Rn I feel like some plots could have been cut, like the electricity man...
What is up with the cast order on MDL? The 3 main characters are listed at the end of the main cast? Never seen…
I bet 10 dollars that it will change when the show ends. This is based on the published information we got before airing, rather than actual screentime. And of course promotion is based on the popular actors. On Disney+ the 2 main teenagers are right after 3 main adults. Here it's just based on seniority and popularity, but it's not easy for changes on MDL to be approved during airing. So it will be changed after it finishes most likely.
This drama was really ahead of its time. It's not only that there are few dramas from 2014 that are still as good as this one, there are still very few dramas as good as this one RIGHT NOW. Not only dealing with mental health, ever so tactfully, but with sex, which is nowhere to be seen in other dramas! As you age, you understand the drama and the characters even more. The FL is so unlikable, but also human, and the ML as well... they are not from fairytale.
The only questionable plot is the second couple with 2FL's age... but I can look past it.
It is one of mose rewatchable dramas ever, I still till this very day cry while watching it. My only problem is that it's not available on Neflix anymore, and I can't find it anywhere in Poland rn...
No its totally fair and fine, nothing has been said about My Dearest before, I didn't like King the Land and there…
There were way too many articles on KTL and SYIM19thL as well, I admit that. From my perspective, the articles should add something to the table, not just describe one particular scene from the last episode or sth. Let's create hype but the organic way, through interesting articles, not through spamming.
You can create your own webtoon too, you know. This one has multiple stories for both the parents and kids. There…
Jeez. I don't agree with the post,I think the teenagers' storyline is great exactly because they are flawed and annoying, as humans are. But please don't use this argument, this is not even an argument... this forum is here exactly for us to praise and complain on the drama. We can't live in a world of fake positivity. Also, if a plumber messed up pipes in your apartment, would you also say that you should have done that yourself? You can't do every job there is on earth you know, and based on your thinking no one ever should be able to complain about anything.
I saw the eps but just want to confirm.. the school homeroom teacher that is connected to the nis (? I forgot…
They most probably know, the coughing guy saw him flying in the playground when he was a kid. But I have no idea why they do not consider him for the special training or whatnot.
It happened yesterday, why the need to report on it a day late? Just skip this news altogether, it doesn't matter... It feels like every day MDL decides to bombard us with spam news even more
Regarding MDL cast list: I'm not sure how official it is, but I always thought it followed the official production…
I think after the show finishes airing the MDL cast list will be amended as well - listing the teenagers just after the 3 main adult actors, like on Disney+ page, as you said. I think it was prepared a long time ago, with no way of knowing for 100% who will have the most screentime. That information is available only to the show makers...
It was a similar situation with Extraordinary Attorney Woo - it was not advertised as a romance at first, but while it aired it became apparent that it is indeed a rom-com in a way. So the slight romance tag was added. Because MDL contributors had no way of knowing that beforehand.
I loved episodes 1-7 but eps 8 & 9 left me cold and it's not because I don't appreciate mature romance (I'm 57…
Yeah, I guess that one of things that people find hard to believe is that even us adults can enjoy the teenagers' storyline more. It's just given more time, feels more organic and while I don't go out of my way to watch teenage dramas, it is still the part of Moving I appreciate the most. The adults' romance did get a good amount of time as well, but it felt like it doesn't stand on its own legs as of now. The reasoning for their feelings, other than the both of them being attractive, is not there yet.
I have a strong feeling that those 20 eps will not be enough to give us all the answers and character development we want... there are just a bit too many characters and storylines. The agency, the US with Frank, North Korea, we still know very little of them...
i scrolled down and there were 2-3 commenters complaining about the "adult romance" and 10+ more complaining about…
They behave like some fighters for justice when no one is really even hating on the show. But these days, saying that you would prefer the story to go in a slightly different direction is enough to be the villain in the comment section I guess.
Wow, if you have no counterarguments than don't say anything, why take pride in reading only short comments? I will never understand it. Yes I made a long comment, sorry, for your sake I will try to divide them from now on XD
