…She fell over and died from the shock of her husband's infidelity? That is ridiculous!!!
This is straight out of makjang, I thought they will show her in a hospital with deteriorated health for a while, but they just killed her on the spot lol
This drama is fun to watch but the plot is barely plotting, even for a rom com. I mean, these are just random things happening one after another, with no real stakes or substance. Like the whole "saving HJ" plot in ep3 - what would have happened if Yi An was late? Nothing, she would have been interrogated and let go (unless I'm missing something). These are just random plots put together for the main characters to have a chance to meet, and while this is the case with many kromances, it's just especially blatant here.
Are they exes? The grand prince and the queen. It seems like it. Considering how concerned she was about the true…
I think she wants a true king by her side, and her husband was not that. She seems to be attracted to Yi-an's traits that would make him a great king, but at the same time she has to protect the standing of her own son.
They are taking such a long time to produce it anyway, why not wait until he is available? Especially if his role is not that big. Of course if he wanted to do it in the first place. Honestly, he was the best part of the first season, I feel no hype for S2 without him.
No matter how hard I think, I can't find a logical reason to pity the ML. The FL is hella rich but is treated badly, so I guess I see her struggles, but the ML is beloved by the public, beloved by his king nephew, has tons of money and free time... Also after the way that he came late to king's birthday in an inappropriate attire at that, it is hard for me to pity him for the way that his father forced him not to stand out, cause he clearly is not doing that anymore. And I don't see him being bitter about not being the king, so other than some childhood trauma, which he already seems to have overcome in a way, I don't know where his story would go and what he could gain from the marriage.
I hate how comments were talking bad acting done by male lead now today I am finally watching the first ep I had…
I think this is a bad call for BWS to come back 2 years after lovely runner with the same exact type of role. No matter how good he is here, he will be compared to his last role and people will complain that he acts the same (even though it's clear that the director wanted just that from him)
Norway here, and no we won’t be getting it on Disney+. We hardly ever get the weekend dramas in our area.
I think the rule is more that they release only their own dramas (and they air on Wed). The ones produced by korean tv stations either get to disney+ with a big delay (crazy love) or not at all (revenant). At least here in Poland.
She was winning because of the help she received. It wasn't solely because she's smart or a "legacy" lawyer.…
She won because the screenwriters wanted her to win it all. Fine, they can do what they want, but due to that, there was no suspense in the drama. No stakes once you find out she is perfect.
A lot of people said the “second couple” ruined their experience watching Pursuit of Jade, but let’s be…
Yes! Looking at it, it was really on theme regarding being able to stand on your own as a girl. The 2FL could have easily let go and become an empress. But she was always in pursuit of her son's happiness and freedom and fought like crazy for it.
To be honest, I do agree with you to some extent that the drama sometimes gave more “romantic-type” moments…
I can agree that the 2nd couple had more bed scenes, but to me it was because the 2FL was trapped and abused. And these scenes never felt genuine to me, the 2FL was always acting. The 1st couple could develop their relationship on many other levels. But yeah, I'm also a fool for romantic scenes, so I always wish there were more haha
But this is the fact , 2nd couple was indeed promoted on main couples popularity. In which drama have you seen…
Yup, I feel the same. I mean maybe some people can look past the toxicness and see this couple in a romantic light, hell, I've done that in my life as well. But if you think about it just a bit, it becomes clear that this relationship was anything but romantic. Yes, the 2FL acted as if she was in love to fool the 2ML, but is seems that she fooled a lot of the viewers as well. Maybe she had a dose of fondness towards him and attraction, but she was mainly frightened and fighting for her life.
