Hello! Nice to meet you, thx for friend request. Hmmm a Frozen Flower - had its good times, and its OK moments. :P It was still a very believable and memorable movie, though sad. I guess I haven't watched too many movies, more dramas, so don't have enough to qualify them yet as 'favorites'. :) What about yourself, do you prefer dramas or movies? What types?
I also have Jang Geun Suk as one of my fav. actors. Used to also have Vaness Wu, like them both!

Hyun Bin - Great acting! :) Very natural transitions into various emotions - I like that. Her - so so, I mean, she's good, just that anyone could have played her part. I heard they actually were dating for a couple of years, so the chemistry is actually real-Very nice! I never heard of TWTTLI before the article, so I really appreciate those articles and recs.
Ha Ji Won - I am not a fangirl type of person. Maybe I'm too old? :D I enjoy good actors/actresses, but don't live and die by them. I'm more about the whole than the part. My favs. are usually there because they've entertained me with their acting abilities and emotional range. Can't even remember who I have there now... :P Yourself? You have some favs or do you change every so often?
Wow, you have 50% financing in place - good for you! It seems even in the US where the economy is waning, the movie industry is doing great if it's a worthy flick. :D What kind of project are you working on? A mini-series, documentary, or? (or is it hush-hush for now?) I'd love to see what you've worked on when it's complete.
You go girl! Keep up the good work!

Hola amiga! I see you're also watching The World TTLI. :) Saw it as a rec for great kisses too huh? I like how they don't glorify and glitz over everything drama/movie related. My grandfather used to work as a machine-est/inventor for Universal Studios back in the day and he said it was a dirty field. (At least in Hollywood!) I'm sure it's different other places, but it's interesting to see.

Hello there! Well thanks sincerely for the recs! I enjoy watching things that are likeable too. :D I've found that sometimes I'll come across a drama that I personally love and it sets a new/higher standard for other dramas I've seen. So, I've occasionally gone back to dramas I've seen in the past and re-rated them accordingly. :P (Thus the low scores) Movies in general will have a lower score from me than dramas unless they are the equivalent of f.ex. 'Not Without My Daughter'. Ever seen it? It's not an Asian movie but imo a must watch with Sally Field starring. Based on a true story too.
My PTW list I've rated according to average rate given by watchers. Makes it easier for me to pick dramas I'll watch next. That's not the final say, just one of my measurements. :P I do it when I add/edit it. Watching anything good lately? :)

Thanks for rec on Love 911. Just finished it and liked it! Love the 'sign' language, gestures and remarks that were so blatantly crude. :D Also really enjoyed Always. Seems I'm taking a drama break lately, so I'll peek at your list and recs. :P

You ended up going for your Masters there?!?! Wow! Impressive! I'm so glad you are making it work on your own there - you are way better than any prick who wouldn't hire you and deep down they know it and are afraid of feeling inferior to you. :)
Eat lutafisk dere nordmenn som foler seg usikre! *shakes fist*
Ok, that was for you, ah I feel better now. hehe
Not sure what I'm in the mood for, prob. just gonna try a few dramas/movies on my list like 'Always' to see what holds my attention.

That's great! We'll find a great drama to watch together. :D Talking about jobs there, I once had someone call me because my name sounded 100% Norwegian, then when they found out I wasn't they were like, oh, nvr mind...we were screening the names for only Norwegians. Bunch of racists! Pissed me off cuz it was at a 7/11 there. I've never gone into another 7/11 since! :P I took my then 2 year old once for an ear infection (he was screaming) and they refused any kind of medicine stating they had a new policy to let nature run it's course and not over-medicate, etc. They didn't seem to care if 'nature' caused him to be deaf or not. Rolls eyes. Ah well, the good old days. Granted, there's a lot of ppl here without decent medical too, so who am I to say. :D
I'm in a drama slump now, don't really have anything I'm interested in, are you watching anything good?

Well I'm honestly proud and impressed by your inner strength in staying there so long. It can't be easy. It's so good your BF and you have a close relationship too. That can make or break anything! :D I totally agree about the people and cold personalities. It's so unfortunate, but I think it has a lot to do with their cultural pride that they put blinders on themselves that they are happy, when I really don't think they are. Back here in the States, they keep writing articles about Norwegians having the highest quality of life because they are the happiest - but how often do we really see them SMILE unreservedly? :P
Hopefully there will be ore oil-related work closer to home in the future so you guys can come back! If you're ever in the Seattle area let me know, doors are always welcoming. :)

:) at least you see some good about being there - it was soooo dull and hard to meet good friends you could feel comfortable with imo. Granted I miss the cheap kebabs on every corner and the summer salad, but I'll manage. I was there in 1996-2004ish. So, we might have crossed paths at some point. I found it hard to find other Americans out in the country, knew only a couple after moving closer to Oslo, so I'm glad you have dramas to watch! Hmmm, if you've been there 12 years, you must be close to 30s or so. Myself I'm 30++-but still manage to love dramas! :D

I can't agree more! Kind of squares. :D You almost want to shake them a bit to see if there's some loose pieces that fall out, but they'd freak and give you that 'look'. Ah, if only I'd have known you when I was there, it would have been fun. Are you in contact with any other Americans or ... there besides bf? 12 years is a long time! WOW-I'm seriously impressed!!!
haha, by the time I was done with my ex, he didn't dare act like anything but a neutered puppy around me either!
I'm glad to know someday you'll be coming back - hope you are able to visit US or travel as often as you need as well.

Yes! He plays a bit of a care-free slacker who really ends up deeper as the drama progresses- kind of like the character in Iljimae if you've seen it. There's action, politics, and humor. I really liked the variety of characters in HGD.

Flipped through your list and you've seen a lot of the good ones with decent kisses! :D Reply 1997, Personal Taste, etc. QIM had good kisses, but I see you dropped it, it's not for everyone. I Need Romance, Green Rose and FB Next Door and Me Too Flower have real kisses from what I remember... It's been a while for some of them. I can't guarantee the quality of these dramas tho, it's all pretty individual. :D Gotta bug out of here - drop me a Hi anytime you have the need to break out of the Norwegian language and thinking and read a little English again! Best of luck for you guys there too. :)

Wow, it IS a small world! I actually lived out by Moss, and some in Askim (talk about OUT there!) also lived some in Kolbotn/Oppegard about 15 min out of Oslo. I hope you like it, I really didn't - but I was with an abusive jerk - thus my sensitivity to dv. :P Anyhoo, that was awhiles back so I'm back in USA! How about yourself? Have you been there long and do you like it?

Ugh, YES - I was so PISSED at this drama for adding in main male character slaps (hard) main female because he is mad/upset she didn't keep their love/relationship going. Then he/drama blows it off without any real kind of apology or remorse. I'm pretty against that kind of thing, so may be more sensitive than most but 0-tolerance is my philosophy. Otherwise the story, etc. would have been GREAT. And I like the main male lead, enjoy his acting quite a bit normally. :)

I so agree with you about some K-dramas being awkward kisses! Hate it - to me it can ruin a really good romance. There's more and more lately though I've noticed that give a realistic approach - maybe they're getting the hint? :D Yep, I've seen Pride and Buzzer Beat. I'm always into drama recs anytime! Thank You :)

Hi, sorry for the delayed response - been busy! The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek. Bull Fighting, the girl is like a princess in her house, Eternal Happiness is a period drama where girl dresses up as 'Robin Hood' type character but is from wealth, Hayate the Combat Butler, Lie to Me she's a commoner but father is prestigious, Love Story in Harvard, Personal Taste ordinary girl from well-known father, Romantic Princess are a few to look into. Some are good, some so-so, just depends what fits your taste. Good luck! :)

No, I'd rec. it for the female protag. who must fight through a lot of life difficulties as a single mom in order to survive in life. More of a drama about family relationships - father not knowing he has a kid, etc. Not a rom-com more a melo
