How's it going with dramas for you? Anything interesting? I see you have Vineyard Man on your list - just finished watching it yesterday. :) It took me a few ep. to warm up to, but after that I enjoyed it. How's it going for you?

Haha - you're funny! I like that -- I find the best ppl here, many of them are also happy-ending drama watchers. :)

Iljimae - no romantic ending, but the main character doesn't die and lives on to fight another day so it's definitely not tragic or open ended. I'm usually a happy-endinger and didn't have any problem with the end, so...It would have been a shame to kill off such a yummy character. :D

Hong Gil Dong- definitely tragic ending, but I still loved the drama. If you don't want sad ending- stay away from these. Most of the sad/tragic ending dramas I've marked in my "Notes". I'll be looking forward to your reviews/recs in the future!

Oh, just finished reading your profile - I'm a marathoner too and don't do 'airing' dramas! Or at least I'll try to watch GOOD ones within a week. :)

Gumiho - pointless, YES! Great description. Pointless dramas don't hold my interest.

I felt Arang was a little bit like that too.

If you want any general/light spoilers for Iljimae in the future without giving it away, let me know. I don't remember it being a sad ending, but not necessarily warm-fuzzy either. It IS very tragic throughout though - but that made it suspenseful and interesting (which led to great character development).

I prefer happy endings too - because life has enough sad without it. :) Keep me posted/I'll check in sometime to see if you find a great one that I haven't seen yet.

Me Too, Flower was also great - I like main male lead's acting.

Haha, right about the snide comments? It makes it so much easier though to pick dramas for me. It's OK, I can bite back pretty hard on the snide comments, and evt. they won't come barking anymore and get used to it. :D

Gumiho was so long and flat imo, also I just couldn't do HER (Shin Min Ah) or whoever she is...something about her just doesn't suit me. I felt the same way about Arang Though it had more plot it was...bizarre. :P

I'm watching The Vineyard Man now, just finished Iljimae and I really liked it! (I'm a sucker for action/romance combos) How about yourself? Did you find a good one lately?

Hello, just saw what you said on 'Drop It' forum about Shin Min Ah and Gumiho - I dropped that drama 1/2 way through too because I couldn't handle it. Finished Arang and the Magistrate, but again felt meh. Ah well - you have 4 of dramas that I really liked on your 'Favorites' list so thought I'd say HI! :)

Oooh, you beat me to it! :D You finished The Vineyard Man - great job. I took a detour into Iljimae, and then needed something a bit lighter and am back to Vineyard. Definitely liking the banter between the 2 mains. The whole 'rustic' lifestyle is hilarious.

About how long does it take for you to watch a drama avg. 16-20 ep? Or is it interest based? For me, if I LOVE it, I'll speed through under a week or so, if it isn't suspenseful enough, maybe a couple of weeks...

I'm currently at Ep. 2 for Vineyard Man now too. Hoping it gets a bit more interesting. I love HER acting, haven't really fallen for him yet. :P

Just finished Iljimae - cuteness overload! Sighhhhh Be the Match = bone marrow donor registry. There's a lack of matches for minorities and mixed-race, so cheek swab and registry is free. :)

Heya! Have you ever watched period dramas? I'm watching Iljimae right now and really enjoying it. And oh so cute and what a great actor (lee Jun Ki)! They end the episodes with cliffhangers which keep you riveted. :) Are you into something now?

It's hard to say, I liked them both. :) I believe Prince turns to Frog took a bit longer for me to warm up to the main characters, but grew on me as I went along.

Let's see if I can get this right... :P
1- Search tool: The name has to be pretty accurate/no abbreviations or missing letters - this particular search tool is pretty finicky that way. :) Otherwise, you can just use the 'Drama' section to browse...
2- When you find that drama, you'll see the title and main pic of it on the top right side of the page. Click on "Add to list" tab right below title.
3- A pop up window will appear with drop down lists of 'Currently Watching, Completed, Plan to...etc." Pick one of those.
4- You can type in the number of eps. seen.
5- Rate the drama from drop down list
Finally, close the window, if you refresh your screen after a few seconds, it should show up. Also, you can edit by doing the same.

If this doesn't work, let me know. Glad to meet fellow happy-ending junkies!

I'd say it's like a college-age drama that starts out slow, but picks up pace after 1-2 episodes. The character development is the emphasis over storyline/plot. I personally loved it because of the main actor/actress. I thought they did a great/believable job in their parts. It also has real kissing! It's a melo but not dark. If you like a hot/cool guy who turns super-protective of his girl, with a happy ending, then it could be for you. :) It's one of my favorites, but not everyone likes melos. I also have notes on my list for some I felt were ambiguous or not happy endings. *Life has enough heartache, why add more, right?* :D

Nope! I sometimes do the same - that's why the majority of the dramas I watch are all happy ending ones, even the melos. Course it's hard to find ones with full-out weddings or family's so I settle. :) Nice to meet you!

It's great to meet another drama watcher who is >30. :) I tend to veer away from the high-school dramas for obvious reasons. (exception of Mars which covered adult topics imo) Nice to meet you!
