What a wonderful response and I agree wholeheartedly! I am so happy with the casting!! I like Reba so I will watch the drama regardless but I am looking forward to Gong Jun’s acting as I have not seen a drama of his yet. I do plan on watching Word of Honor before LOA airs just to familiarize myself with our leading man. 😊 I am also excited to watch Liu Yu Ning’s performance too; I’ve only seen him in The Long Ballad and I have gripes with his character so I want him to completely surprise me in this drama by giving me a layered performance because I want to root for all the cast members in LOA. The long wait will be unbearable but as a viewer, I ultimately want to see a quality drama and if more time is needed for that to materialize, I don’t mind the wait.

As a Reba fan, I’ve been fortunate that her two dramas have aired this year and I have enjoyed both immensely. Other fandoms are not so lucky and some dramas don’t see the light of day so thinking from that perspective also helps keep my impatience at bay. Barring any scandals or blacklisting activity, LOA will air. It’s just a matter of when.

Although Reba did not win Best Actress but she was the only Chinese actress selected so it was still an honor for her. So HAPPY that the drama is garnering so much international love and recognition.

Congrats Lusi on her recent win! Any accolades relating to TLB should be celebrated as it will bring recognition to our beloved drama. I also hope Leo and Reba will win awards for their performances in other award ceremonies as I love their characters and portrayals of Ashile Sun and Li Changge. :) Most of all, I really want TLB to win "Best Drama" as I think it's the best recognition for everyone's efforts in producing this amazing drama. Really love your comment! It’s funny how an actor’s role really changes one’s perception of an artist. Before The Long Ballad, I do like Reba but do find some of her roles to be ordinary as well but ever since I saw her performance in The Long Ballad, she’s my absolute favorite. I just love her character in the drama and have been following her works since. She’s amazing in You are My Glory (and I am also a fan of the book so not surprisingly I love her portrayal) and I will follow her in her upcoming dramas, The Blue Whisper and Legend of Anle - both dramas I’m very much anticipating. I’m just very interested in her acting progression and hope that she continues to improve, always be challenged and produces the best quality of work possible. I also had no prior experience with Yang Yang but love him here as Yu Tu. I’m not as crazy about him to follow his works as Reba. I will watch his dramas based on the story line but have such a positive impression of him as a leading actor. I really hope they can collaborate again in another drama but if it does not happen, I’m thankful for this pairing. They have provided so many sweet moments onscreen and their performances really gave the novel justice.

I feel like many actors are fanboys of Reba while she is such a calm beauty when faced with their admiration. 😝 For sure, a Xiao Zhan and Reba collaboration will be beautiful and I guess it can happen since YangDi was once an unlikely dream too. If it occurs, I hope it will be a historical drama together but honestly, I am fine with any genre. All I ask is for a good plot and script and let their acting take care of the rest.

Thanks for the novel description of “Ball Lightning”. 😁 I am intrigued by this role and hope Reba takes on this female character who appears more serious and detached, which is very different from her usual persona. Since TLB, I’ve been really happy with Reba’s drama choices. She has stepped outside the sweet cutesy roles and seem selective of parts that will challenge her. Jiayou Reba!!

The gaming ends in episode 15 and the rest of the drama focuses on his career and their relationship. The leads have many sweet moments so if you like a good romance you will enjoy the latter episodes. 😊

Why sheep though? I cannot recall what it's relation to aerospace and Yu Tu? The little astronauts decorated throughout are too cute.

On Reba’s drama page, there is “Invader” listed for the longest time and I think it’s a modern drama. However, there is no update in terms of a filming schedule, so likely it’s a rumor. I wish it’s removed from her page to not cause misunderstanding for her fans. I heard of “Ball Lightning” floating around as her next project. It sounds like a serious drama and if it were offered to Reba, I feel like it’s another step forward towards her acting growth and I want that for her to continue to progress and improve her acting abilities.

I vote for Li Xian after seeing him in one of the Keep Running S5 episodes. Reba and Li Xian did not have much interaction in the variety show but from the glimpses that I had seen, I think they would make a good visual couple. I like Xiao Zhan too and hope for a Reba and Xiao Zhan pairing but doubt it would happen due to cost. Their pay demand will probably be very high if they were to star in a drama together.

I’m trying to understand what is the point of your comment. I feel like you’re trying to find others to validate your dislike of Reba and none of your message is even related to the YAMG drama. If you were to discuss in detail what you do not like about Reba’s character in this drama, I and others are more than willing to discuss.

You mentioned that Reba’s presence ruins your enjoyment of dramas with her in it. The solution is very simple: do not watch her dramas. She’s a leading actress and will absolutely have tons of screen time in all her upcoming dramas. As a viewer, you have the option not to press the play button. Since you watched a few of her dramas and already developed a negative opinion of her, I don’t see the point of your being aggravated by watching her acting and then claiming she “destroyed” a drama for you. I’m not trying to persuade you to feel differently towards her as an actress. You can continue to dislike Reba, it’s your prerogative. I have artists that I do not enjoy watching and I avoid their works. There are so many good dramas and viewers have options to choose what they want to watch. I would not pass negative judgment on a drama due to my dislike of one artist because a drama consists of the efforts of many individuals, not just the main leads and I don’t think it’s fair to assess any work negatively without at least trying to be impartial before viewing.

To me, it's not the kissing (which of course was well done) but the sexual banter and heat this couple was generating through their words and flirty verbal exchanges in this episode. I will forever view the words "scripts" and "pillows" differently due to this drama. I was literally SHOCKED when I saw this episode; I can't believe it passed China's censorship and the sexual tension was so well done. No exposed skin, just passionate kisses and left everything to viewers' imagination.

This sexy part of the drama was not written in the novel. In the novel, the paparazzi epilogue was only from the perspective of the paparazzies as they follow the couple so it was a lovely surprise to me when I watched the drama. Gu Man did an amazing job writing these scenes and dialogue showcasing how much Yu Tu yearns for QJJ and their time apart magnifies the urgency of their desire for each other. Chinese romantic dramas tend to shy away from this type of adult content and I love that it embraces the passionate and physical side of a couple who are in their 30s, detailing how much they BOTH want and long for each other.
