I would love it if YY and Reba can collaborate in another drama!! Maybe a republican drama (their visuals in those…
Excellent suggestions! I like the idea of Reba playing a blind character and finding purpose through music and YY playing a dancer that is past his prime that is struggling with what do in the next phase of his life. Somehow, he finds inspiration through Reba's character, maybe? Perhaps, he could be a dance choreographer to her piano playing in a musical? What was YY's dance specialty in school? I think it's ballet but not completely sure if he's comfortable in other dances as well.
Curious, are you watching from the beginning or just your favorite episodes? I started rewatching from the beginning…
I know. Episodes 15-19 are tortuous for fans of the couple but I don't avoid these episodes. I like that there's a trial and bitterness to their relationship so that we can treasure the sweetness of their love in later episodes. đ

Yes, your description is everything! There are so many subtle things in the drama that I appreciate after watching the episodes again. One scene comes to mind was at the petrol station when they walked back to the car, his coat was brushing hers and the camera focused on her moving away so that their clothes were no longer touching and her walking pace quickened. The expression on Yu Tu's face, realizing that it wasn't just physical separation she was trying to create but emotional distance from him.
I also love how Yu Tu hugs her. He always cradles her head and leans his face into her hair as he embraces her. She also lightly pats his back in a comforting way. Their body language and expressions are on point throughout the drama.

I welcome another modern drama collaboration between YY and Reba but unsure about the focus on another CEO type setting, unless it's a role reversal where Reba is the CEO of the company and he's her employee. If the script is well written, it might be interesting to watch. I find CEO type of dramas to be cliche and not creative so I'm hoping it's not true. If a modern drama, why not write something around dance or music as Yang Yang came from a dancing background and Reba plays the piano? I want to see how their artistic talents can contribute or showcase in a drama. That would be my preference.
I think the OST isnât given enough appreciation. :(My most favourites would be:1. âFireworks and Starsâ…
My favorite song is LYN's Fireworks and Stars. Yes, it might be overplayed but I love the moment when this song came on when YT and QJJ left their middle school together holding hands, with snow falling and THIS song playing in the background. It exudes such hope and acceptance of a future together for this glorious couple. Just love it!
Curious, are you watching from the beginning or just your favorite episodes? I started rewatching from the beginning and finished episode 20 yesterday. With each rewatch, I found details that I missed from my original viewing experience. I noticed this time around that the camera focused a lot on the actors' hands to indicate tension or nerves. I've seen it with Yu Tu, Jing Jing and Xia Qing's scenes. I honestly never seen so many camera shots of an actor's hands/body language before but noticed these details when I watched again.
YAMG is not my cup of tea when I compare with The Long Ballade. Reba's performance is great in TLB. YAMG story…
It's okay. YAMG does not appeal to everyone, just as not everyone enjoy TLB. They are two completely different genres so it's hard for me to compare and I consider it a matter of preference. I personally like both dramas and thought Dilreba was amazing in both and showcased growth in her acting and versatility in her performances. YAMG has a simpler plot; I'm a fan of the novel and thought both Yang Yang and Reba embody the characters of Yu Tu and Qiao Jing Jing. I thoroughly enjoy watching every single scene of this pair together and how their love story plays out. In contrast, TLB is a historical period drama with a much more complicated storyline and I absolutely love the character Li Changge and the layers Reba brought to the role. The character growth to Li Changge is wonderful to witness and Reba has been slaying the strong female lead roles this year. I am her fan but if the story does not interest me, I do drop dramas of my favorites. I watch dramas for the plot and not necessarily for the actors so do not feel bad if a drama does not resonate with you. Everyone has different tastes and there are just so many drama choices available to viewers.
I love the scene at the petrol station (episode 20) when Yu Tu confessed to Jing Jing. The acting of both Yang…
How sweet! My posts tend to get very wordy and long and if you have patience to read through all that, then all power to you. đ I have seen many of your posts on the YAMG page and really enjoy reading your enthusiasm and thoughts of the drama. đđ
I have not seen Love O2O though I have read the novel. I have read all of Gu Man's novels. I saw an episode of Love O2O and could not continue. To be honest, this story is my least favorite novel of Gu Man because the ML and FL are seemingly too perfect that I cannot relate or be invested in their characters. I love YAMG because Yu Tu's struggle and Jing Jing's support and devotion are very touching and inspiring. YAMG is a simple story but the details give it so much color. It's hard to describe. I have read this novel numerous times and some moments still get me teary-eyed.
I can relate, so hard to move on once I have seen a drama I love. I'm rewatching YAMG until I'm ready for a new drama. I'm not sure if I will actively seek out Yang Yang's works; it seems like he does a lot of gaming dramas (not my favorite genre) and I'm not completely sure about his upcoming dramas yet. It all depends on the plot and will wait for others' reviews before watching. I do like Reba and have recently become a fan of hers. I am interested in her future dramas so I can evaluate her growth as an actress and both dramas seem interesting, particularly Legend of Anle. Although I like her, I have dropped her past dramas if the plot was bad. I'm lucky that one of my favorite novels (YAMG) was made into a drama and is headlined by one of my favorite actresses.
I agree.. I checked this page everyday to see the rating and the number of raters.. đ€
8.8 is amazingly high for a modern drama on MDL due to the amount of haters that tend to downgrade dramas. I was happy with an 8.5 and since this drama has already finished airing, I don't expect the rating to fluctuate much going forward. YAMG does not appeal to everyone and it's okay for viewers to rate it honestly. In general I think most viewers appreciate the realistic aspect of the drama and the general consensus is mostly positive. I'm of the mindset that let's enjoy the drama over and over again (via rewatch) and not be too concerned with the ratings.
The outfits especially of Dilireba are so gorgeous! Stylist team are doing a great job !
She looks beautiful! I'm really anticipating this drama. Plot appears interesting and love the cast! I just hope there's no love triangle or stupid misunderstandings between the lead couple because that's one of my pet peeves.
Why do they expect a quiet & calm character to show emotions like a loud character? His character is supposed…
It's unfortunate that beautiful artists like Yang Yang and Reba suffer from these unjust criticisms. I hate reading how people discard the efforts and talents of these two artists by labeling them as pretty vases without talent. They have to work twice as hard to prove themselves. I know opinions are subjective but some people really do view their dramas with bias and spew hateful comments that are so hurtful. I don't like all the popular artists but never felt compelled to go to other pages to post hurtful messages to downgrade their artists. I don't really get these haters' mentality. All it does is inspire me to support these two even more!
I'm rewatching again and at Ep. 30. ISTG any who says YY can't act, is wooden, and can't facially emote needs…
I love the scene at the petrol station (episode 20) when Yu Tu confessed to Jing Jing. The acting of both Yang Yang and Reba was great but Yang Yang emoted Yu Tu's feelings so well in that scene in particular, his anxiousness, his regret and the pain for hurting the woman he loves. I love how in character Yang Yang was throughout the drama. I think viewers are so conditioned to see excessive emotional display that subdue performances are labeled boring or wooden. I, for one, enjoy Yang Yang's portrayal and am glad to be exposed to his acting as YAMG is my first drama of his.
So um, what are the odds of a costume drama between them? In my mind I know it's unlikely, but I'm hoping that…
I would love it if YY and Reba can collaborate in another drama!! Maybe a republican drama (their visuals in those costumes will be amazing in this period) and it will be completely different from what they have acted in the past. However, I don't think this genre is very popular. A fictional costume drama (not xianxia, because I feel this genre is oversaturated) is my next choice. This time around, I would like to see YY (male lead) as a playful and carefree character, maybe from a military family. Reba (female lead) can be more of a gray character, serious and perhaps a bit manipulative. It would be great they started from opposing sides and come together as a power couple to rule a nation. My thoughts would be the male lead is from one country, female lead from another country, and another third and the most powerful country battling for supremacy. ML and FL oppose each other in the beginning in the battle of wits but came together (through love and marriage) to overthrow the powerful country. Obviously, I'm no scriptwriter but I always enjoy watching dramas where the main couple work together with mutual respect and values towards a common goal.

I'm sorry but these guys need to hit the gym if they had such a hard time carrying Reba. Reba did not look heavy based on the eye test. Some of these actors looked too thin and weak IMO if they were to struggle so much.
Someone asked me, when did Yu Tu start having feelings for Jing Jing?Whatâs the exact answer? My answer is I…
Their romance progresses so naturally that itâs not obvious as to when Yu Tu falls in love with Jing Jing. IMO, he did not have feelings for her in high school. Yu Tu was too absorbed with his studies and aerospace that girls and relationships were not in his radar. He didnât date his first girlfriend, Xia Qing, until 3rd year of university.
As to when he fell for Jing Jing, I believe it was after the movies and her texts/recorded message about âYouâre the rabbit that has seen the most starsâ. The beginning of the night, Yu Tu was obviously down after having dinner with his aerospace buddies as he began to feel like an outsider. IMO, he sought out Jing Jing for the distraction and comfort because she was not from the finance or aerospace social circle and he could talk honestly with her (all of his friends belong to either circle). He could be with her without the pressure of making the (right) career choice, which were usually the topics of discussion when he met either his finance or aerospace friends. Yu Tu felt even more upset after the movies (understandably so) and when he received those comforting words from her (and they were exactly what he needed to hear), his heart was moved. At that moment, I donât believe he realized his feelings for her had turned romantic because he had been burdened all night by thoughts of lost dreams and did not have time to process his emotions.
Based on the novel as it described Yu Tuâs internal thoughts, I believe he began to realize his feelings for her when he accompanied Jing Jing to Sister Lingâs house to celebrate her husbandâs birthday. When they were talking in the balcony, Jing Jing was supportive of his decision to go into investment banking as she believed he would be great in whatever he decided to do. Yu Tu then thought he would not be as awesome as Mr. Su (Jing Jingâs ex-boyfriend), a big shot in the field of finance which shocked him (in the novel) that he even made that comparison. Later on in the conversation, he mentioned that someone called him selfish, curious of what Jing Jing would say. Jing Jing rebuked the claim, stating that he was too outstanding and was able to do everything well. If he was only great at one thing, would that person still label him selfish? Jing Jing then declared that she thought her logic was sound.
Yu Tu (in the drama) voiced: âYou are so smart, everything you say is rightâ.
Yu Tu (in the novel) thought: âYou look so good, everything you say is rightâ.
With the drama, viewers are less privy to Yu Tuâs perspective, but the novel provides glimpses of Yu Tuâs thoughts and describes his physical attraction to her and more importantly that her opinion of him matters because he has already fallen in love with her. This is just my opinion when he fell for her and when he realized his feelings but I can see why others feel differently because their relationship develops so naturally and realistically as they spend more time together.
Still trying to get over this drama but became even more obsessed in finding fan made videos of this glorious couple on You Tube. Below are two of my favorites and thought others might enjoy as well!
I like all fmv videos and admire those who are so talented. :) Also, special shout out to those who have been uploading new photos of this pair to this drama page. So many gorgeous images :) and special thanks to those who have been sharing BTS videos of YAMG. I love the pairing even more after seeing how the Reba and YY interact "off screen".
I also love how Yu Tu hugs her. He always cradles her head and leans his face into her hair as he embraces her. She also lightly pats his back in a comforting way. Their body language and expressions are on point throughout the drama.
