Many of the characters are really showing some depth as the series progresses. I was very impressed with Jung Myung Seok, I initially thought from the early episodes that he might not be trustworthy as a boss that might throw his subordinates under the bus if the time comes. But in episode 6 he took it right in the chin for his team, taking the responsibility for WYW confronting the doctor on the stand, possibly costing the firm billions of won.
Damn I definitely knew that judge was gonna be one of those people who act like they won't help you and then they…
Yes, especially since he also played the dad in Business Proposal who kicked his daughter out and took back her credit cards since she wasn't agreeing to a forced marriage. I wasn't expecting him to do the right thing in this episode but was so surprised that he showed compassion.
I loved his role albeit small as YS's dad in Business Proposal, and the scene where he kicks her out the house and the credit card scene was hilarious.
They better redeem him as soon as possible before he becomes certified @$$hole . In episode 4 when Myung seok…
Yeah, actually I find him a bit perplexing. As you say, he shows in many courtroom scenes he is impressed with her legal abilities. And yet in the next breath he doesn't even hesitate to berate her to his superior. So, while I kinda like the guy and it's really cute that Rami seems to be totally enamored with him, I'm going to be disappointed if he turns out to really be a dik in the long run. Fingers crossed as this is in the writer's hands.
Yeah, I'm not sure about Min Woo, but this episode revealed his reason for his constant belittling her with their…
Oh yes - roommates! Now I remember in the earlier episode when they were getting ready for work, my wife ask were they a couple. At the beginning I wasn't sure either until JH started to show feelings towards WYW.
I know how challenging must be to live with someone with autism spectrum like the FL, but in fact the way she…
yes, the episode was so funny when she then met the client who just had an auto accident. She was totally prepared to read body language, and then "splat". It was great she was able to recover.
I loved this episode and I think that we are getting into the interesting part of this drama, I mean next week…
Yeah, I'm not sure about Min Woo, but this episode revealed his reason for his constant belittling her with their superiors. I didn't catch in the earlier episodes that he was also an intern with a one year contract (I thought he was already permanent) and only one permanent position would be offered so they are both competing for that. It certainly doesn't excuse how he is such an crappy person like not providing her with court material until just like few minutes before the proceedings, and how he will take every opportunity to degrade her - in most instances due to her disability rather than her legal abilities - to his superior. But I am also assuming that he and Jun Ho are pretty good friends as they hang out together - like playing bball and drinking and in general he appears to be a decent fellow otherwise. So will see what the writer has in store for his arc.
how can i root for the main couple when they're barely in any scenes together!!!!
Not about quantity, but the quality. (I just read that back - yeah sounded real cheesy, sorry). But the scenes with the 2 are very wholesome and heartfelt. Honestly not sure how a relationship will work out as this series is more focused on her arc as an attorney and her own independence but not expecting some miracle of her disability, but can only hope to see a good ending with the 2.
EAW doesn’t need romance to be good. But the writer herself incorporated romantic elements in the show in a…
This series have caught the attention of my wife and I, in part to the stories and great interactions, but also because of our nephew who is autistic. Since we only see him occasionally, seeing some of the characteristics portrayed by WYW it has been a bit eye opening since we remember seeing the same from him. For the romance, we are anxious to see if there is indeed any (just because all the characters are extremely likeable) and how it would be handled without doing something incredibly out of character or miraculously unbelievable, since in the case of our 30 something nephew, we have had the difficult conversations with our SIL/BIL that they know he will never get married and they won't ever have any grandchildren.
i really love that each episode tackles a new case. Because of that, we can see how Young woo handles different…
I really loved how in spite of her small setback from the witness not telling the truth while on the stand (or changing his remark from earlier), she was able to work through to come with a plan for solid evidence for the knock out punch. It was such a solid blow to the brothers that even Min Woo gave an admirable nod.
I generally binge watch most dramas but decided not to wait for this to air all 16 bcz I feel this drama needs…
Same here with normally binge watching, but for me I stumbled onto the first episode surfing Netflix, was puzzled by the whale talk and fell in love with WYW. Then I found myself going back over and again as there were so many layers and details. I was also intrigued by her portrayal of autism, as I also have an autistic nephew.
there many ways autistic people behave I hope you know that. My younger cousin has Asperger's syndrome just like…
yes exactly with my SIL and for us. We do everything possible to ensure any plans that include him will not be changing if at all possible, and if there is possibility of change she or BIL will prepare him ahead to expect the change. So in a way it was interesting of EP 2 where WYW at the last minute was asked to replace the other attorney with IBS(?) at the wedding planner visit. She seemed to accept it very easily, I know my nephew would have a difficult time doing the new task.

My nephew has autism maybe level 1, he has difficulty learning, however when he learns something he will never forget it. This becomes a challenge for him as he will accept authority instructions or written (such as work schedules - he is now 31) but he has a hard time to process changes to any prior instruction or if someone changes the schedule on him after he's seen the first time. My BIL and SIL have to drive him to/from work each day since bus route changes can cause him severe problems as he has difficulty processing any unexpected/sudden changes to a route, and he has some incidents where he waited at a station for a bus that never came. Some "if this/then that" instructions will cause him problems, unless he is made aware of it ahead of time. For instance he is really good at online games, because as long as he learns all rules and conditions of a particular game he can be very hard to beat. So in the first episode that WYW was reciting her route to work was practical, it would be interesting how she might process problems such a station being closed and she needed to leave from a different station. She has shown on the entry to her office building she has difficulty processing the change over to use the circular door after being told by the cleaners not to use the regular doors. Subsequent door scenes she would only use the circular door even though it causes her problems and not being able to process that the regular doors could still be used.
same I'm watching this in my office right now and I had to hold my laughter when she paused after her dad said…
OMG Rami is soooo adorable! Not sure what's about the whisker pulling but that was so cute the exchange and abruptly ends WYW enters the restaurant. But I'm also curious, because of the way Rami acts if she has some issues too? Also not sure if I had to do a double take - but does the actress Baek Ji Won looked a little like Sandra Oh? When she walked into the restaurant at the end of episode 1, I actually thought they had Sandra Oh playing the role. She was gorgeous walking in from the rain.

definitely rewatch, there are so many layers, and lots of details that need rewind. I am still dying from her hilarious whale facts, and she has switched her victim from dad to the associate. definitely, he was thunderstruck during that wedding dress scene! I still loved her dad's reaction - a 300,000 won per person meal, and she ordered seaweed sushi...

Oh GOD episode 2!!! The pink pajama bottom! I fell off my chair laughing again! PEB in the wedding dress, and then she smiled - She stole my heart! AND WOW - I did not see that trial ending coming! This episode has so much to offer!
Seriously! I just spit my coffee when dad tells her "Don't talk about whales." "But what if the situation absolutely requires whale talk?" "Do you work at an aquarium?" I am looking forward to this series if it goes the way ep 1 started!
