I'm wondering if it's an energy drink called Bacchus. Sort of like Red Bull. It helps to relieve fatigue which may be useful as they are about to dive. From the scenes, the bottles appear to be similar.
everyone's acting was superb but mygod.. kim hye ja and lee byung hun freaking killed it no wonder they are legends!!
I always felt it takes great acting and great risk to take a role where you become characters audience absolutely hates. Both actors became people that honestly we likely IRL have little patience or sympathy towards and even though the mom didn't really have any 'oh wow' moment or reveal at the end, her final acts managed to scratch away the hardened layer that her son had built to protect himself so that he might be able to connect to his future.
Not the male lead triangle. Minor love triangle with the school teacher, the sushi restaurant/landlord lady and her ex, there is a twist. But it's only portrayed in very small snippets through number of episodes so is very easy to miss. The reveal is around the 44 minute mark in ep 15, but there were many clues throughout. The main triangle with the ML, FL and 2ML was sort of resurrected college crush but complicated by the bromance/mutual respect between the ML and 2ML.
I was scrolling a lot through the last 7 episodes.. Somehow it did enjoy the lightness of the drama but at the…
If you get the time, please do rewatch these later episodes. The last few episodes were the most enjoyable and the romance so pleasantly blossoms. Other than one hard episode (15) everything was very nicely portrayed.
there were actually 2 sort of mini love triangles, ML, FL and 2ML although it was really brief and very little drama - more comedy than true heartbreak. The second was with the school teacher who came back into town.
I gave score of 10 after watching 5th episode. I have seen too many anime and drama of complicated plot. I got…
So true about it not being a complicated plot. This show is simply easy to watch, and slow gradual relationship until the full bloom love. A slight drama in ep 15 as a reveal and subsequent personal healing but beautiful ending. My wife and I sometimes just keep middle episodes on as background while we have dinner, and is such an easy watch. All the characters are pleasantly portrayed, a few on the cartoonish side but no one despicable or annoying. And although the Chinese restaurant lady is a bit meddling and gossipy in general she still has a huge heart - which in her backstory was broken so badly. but she learned to move on.
Yeah, I recall that scene, and I was baffled too. From his expression Dong Seuk never really understood either…
Yeah, I have a friend who has depression, and without his medications he won'tleave his house at all (he won't even open the door to talk to us). But when he is on his meds, he is somewhat okay but he becomes super self absorbed and selfish so it was really a darned if you do, darned if you don't dealing with him. Watching episode 10 where she literally kidnapped her son after school (daycare) and took him until way past the time her ex had allowed for visitaion - as the son needs to get to sleep, she exhibited a total selfish display. I get that it's the son's birthday but the ex had his family over to celebrate his birthday at home, and he has the legal custody. But again, the episode portrayed the ex being the heavy, and of course DS was her white knight to break up the confrontation.

Yeah, definitely those titles. I was also confused with their little fling when he was the driver or something like that, and she teases then leaves him - after that drive on the beach. I had little respect for either of them at the time and honestly when her story of the divorce, I was feeling bad for the husband who is trying to keep his son safe. She endangered both her and her son whenever she went into her states. Unless she underwent serious therapy, she is still damaged goods and likely a ticking timebomb later on even with DS.
Wtf. Episode 9 -35:11 ?! Seriously?! I have not seen so much B.S before. My brain just can't understand this.
Yeah, I recall that scene, and I was baffled too. From his expression Dong Seuk never really understood either and he just sort of swept it under the rug. But maybe her mind had been so totally messed up, although not sure of the timeline if that occurred before or after her father's suicide.
No! would not feel if was shortened. I even wish there were 2 more episodes
yes, it was sort of strange for me they ended at 20 episodes. It felt weird to me in the later episodes (16-19) that they still kept opening new loose threads as they delved into the various relationships and then at the end they just like made one big patch with the group competition and everything magically became all good. Or maybe there is possibility for a season 2. One can hope.

True, many of the characters are well written and have depths the scenes barely scratched the surface of. There are definitely relationships I would have loved to see further such as the brother and his girl friend with the hearing problem, it would be great to see the 2 GFs and the young parents bringing up baby, or if Eun Hee winds up having any romance at all, even to elaborate if DS's step brothers were really total pricks or if there were some further backstory to their meanness, and honestly I really didn't like Young Ok sending her sister away again (although she showed up as the cheering squad at the end). Some of the relationships were glossed over and would have been interesting to see what it develops. I mean, really they already broke the 16 episode standard anyways with the extra 4, but that just seemed to create more loose ends that the writer just simply snipped off.

Yes for sure! I was thinking the four of the them plus baby would make an interesting series of itself. I could watch the antics of the 2 grandfathers and the trials and tribulations of the 2 young parents as they go on the next steps - her going to college and his working and later GED, and the GF's with their hands full changing diapers in between ice delivery and sundae making! And of course under the watchful eye of godmother Eun Hee!

Ah!!! Yes you do! Sooo adorable in that little bear outfit! I must have turned away for the brief instant the two GF's were running the 3 legged race, totally missed that little scene. So cute baby! Thanks!!!
Soo does yeongju give birth/Do they show their baby sometime in the last two eps?
The baby only shows up in photo, no actual baby. The closest shot is when they pan the spectator stand during the friendly team competition, show YJ by her baby carriage cheering on her hubby and the team.
To me the finale felt like a movie...I absolutely loved his story...so much emotions I kept seeing parallels to…
The last 2 episodes were excellent and yes could have been it's own movie carried by the talent of LBH and KHJ. This reminded so much of the LBH 2018 movie Keys to the Heart, also of a discarded child and forgiveness that set the child free after the years of pain and resentment. Surprising also when I looked into the cast I found that Han Ji Min was also in the movie.
Wow that was so honestly heart breaking. You could sort of see over the course of the trip Dong Seok was softening wrt to his mother and likely could have forgiven but when she replied coldly "Why should I feel sorry about you." Just the look in Dong seok's eyes, his lips quivering, showing us his heart is broken once again. Seriously I'm not sure what ep 20 can possibly reveal to make this right.
Happy actuallyeveryone got together and got engagedmost people were angry because no future was shown and there…
Yeah, when I told my wife the series ended at 12, she thought I was joking. But seriously ep 12 had so many things crammed into it easily could have been nicely expanded in 4 episodes. For instance even just having an entire episode dedicated to FL getting into the grandfathers good book, or ML2 and FL2 expanding their relationship both romantic and business, and getting the marriage scene would have been so good to cap off the series. Did funding run out or ran out of time for the extra 4 episodes? Very odd indeed.
