I love Akari. She says what's on her mind nonchalantly (Terada on her low self-confidence, how Terada shouldn't say sorry when there's nothing to apologize for, thanking Terada when Terada confessed her true feelings to Akari first etc.) and sees things on a different perspective.
Oh my gosh this is such a trip down to memory lane, I could feel a pang in my heart while reading this article.
Boy Over Flowers is honestly my least favorite Hana Yori Dango adaptation; Geum Jan Di is weaker than the other versions of Makino, the angst is dragged out more, the soundtrack is overused, etc. Still, no matter how many times I say that I hate this after watching so many dramas (the Japanese version eventually became my favorite drama), I can't help but rewatch it from time to time. This is my first Korean drama, and it led me to (as cheesy as it sounds) a whole new world.
I always see Detective L on Youtube but never really bothered to check it out. I'm glad I read this because I love episodic cases and the 1930's setting is seriously interesting.
Will surely check this drama out. Thanks for the article!
Please let me know, is there any hope the female lead would be baddas?! I reached ep 9 & feel like she is getting…
honestly.......... no.
she eventually got more powerful (more gu insects in her body, learned secret martial arts techniques etc.) but her conviction to not kill was really strong.
Gosh, I LOVE the earlier rom-coms. Smiling Pasta is even the only drama I haven’t watched from those you mentioned above. There’s just something with the crazy hair, extreme jerk of a male lead, candy female lead, excessive miscommunication and love-hate relationship between the main leads, overly jealous second leads, and most importantly, the clichéd yet crazy plot that I cannot just hate. My personal favorites are Fated to Love You, My Girl and Goong.
Love him! Definitely one of the best actors of his generation.
Kubota Masataka's version of Light in Death Note remains to be one of my favorite works of his. He was also one of the best things about the live adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul.
Thanks for the article! Crime/suspense/thriller is my favorite type of drama so I'm happy with the subject of your article. Signal and Missing Noir M are even some of my favorites~ Haven't seen Children of Nobody yet but I'll check it some time!
OCN is known for gritty crime thrillers, so I'm a huge fan of the channel. I watch majority of their dramas, even though they tend to end with cliffhangers. My favorite OCN drama is definitely Special Affairs Team TEN. It needs another season though, like Missing Noir M.
Voice fans better be grateful that the third season is along the way, lol.
Other favorites include Life on Mars (Korea), When a Snail Falls in Love (China), Ouroboros (Japan) and Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira (Japan).
Lol, I'm a serial dropper with an ever growing on-hold list. I still give chances to my on-hold list once in a blue moon since I always lose interest during the last four episodes (ex: episode 12 in a 16-episode drama or episode 17 in a 20-episode drama), which is a pity since it's already 75% of the whole drama.
