Sota is gorgeous but I'm not really impressed with his acting. I also dropped Say I Love You but I might give it another go to prepare myself for this pairing.

Pretty excited to watch this though! Mystery and romance are some of my favorite genres (aka why Pretty Little Liars is my first American show lol). Hoping that it'll deliver an intense mystery!

so i was expecting to see Vampire Prosecutor and Special Affairs Team Ten here since these multi-season series cemented the station's "quality dark thrillers" image but since you haven't watched them, you should definitely try those! also based from the reviews I've read, Vampire Prosecutor is better than Vampire Detective (same team).

You should also watch Bad Guys! It was my first ever OCN drama (I believe it was also the highest rated OCN drama during its airing in 2014). It has the same writer as Police Unit 38 and stars Park Hae Jin, Kim Sang Joong, Jo Dong Hyuk and Ma Dong Seok (his character here made a cameo in PU38 at the end). It's basically about badass criminals chasing other criminals to solve really difficult cases.

Newer K-drama fans might dislike it since this drama is screaming 2000s (hung-up-over-the-second-female-lead guy, annoying second female lead, over the top love-hate relationship, miscommunication trope over and over again, etc.) but this is definitely a classic.

This is honestly my definition of Korean dramas. Simple and sweet.

im rlly loving the sexual agency that women have been given so far in this drama. her mom is a former adult film…
yup, My Secret Romance was pre-produced without any network attached to it (also like the PD's previous work, Something About 1%) and OCN only picked it up later on

so i'm kinda sad when i read a comment how they drop a drama because of how "low budget" it looks. they honestly have to give props to the staff and crew for putting up a decent (if not, nice) drama ^^

There's only one word to describe this drama: Disorienting. The cute fluffy romance overshadowed by the dark…
Oh my god, yes! I've been anticipating for this series since its announcement last year so I was quite disappointed with how it turned out. The overall vibe of the show was really confusing and the editing and sequencing didn't help either. The fact that it did make offensive jokes about homosexuality and violence added more negativity on my opinion about the show.

I also agree about the new crime per episode idea. It could have been so much better if there was a new case to divert our attention from the main mystery every week because some episodes didn't have any plot development at all. Other than this, there were still lots of things that frustrated me: incompetent police, stiff second lead and of course, like what you've mentioned, the pointless gangster (and thug-like students) scenes.

I am kind of offended that Healer is here, lol. The writing is cohesive, the acting is stellar, and the soundtrack…
Hm, thanks for sharing your reasons. I completely respect your point of view so no hate here lol (since I actually love reading your comments and articles here on mydramalist)

bruh Subway is scary, it's literally everywhere

aside from Goblin, Prime Minister and I, Doctors, and the K2, the dramas that surprised me with their Subway ppls are Signal and Voice lmao how can they those scenes with all the intense stuff going on

I am kind of offended that Healer is here, lol. The writing is cohesive, the acting is stellar, and the soundtrack is awesome. The pacing wasn't a problem for me either because there was just so much to tell when you're intertwining two different timelines.

I'm also surprised how Boys Over Flowers isn't here. The glamour seems to overshadow the awful acting, overused soundtrack and repetitive makjang subplots.

ZE:A's Im Siwan kept making me emotional in Misaeng. He definitely deserves a spot in the list! EXO's Kyungsoo was exceptional in It's Okay, It's Love and even better as the psychopath in Hello Monster. GOT7's Jinyoung is also a natural though he needs more dramas under his belt.

My favorite first generation idol-actors have got to be Baby VOX's Yoon Eunhye and MILK's Seo Hyunjin (it took me a while to realize that she and Eric were ex-labelmates lol).

I was really hoping for a season two but seeing that the male lead, Kim Tae Hwan, is a Korean, I doubt that it would push through because of the South Korea/China issue over THAAD

First K-movie and I still hated it, lol. I have no lingering feelings with it and it has no special place in my heart, unlike what we usually feel from our very first drama/movie

I've been wanting to watch Master Devil when season one was airing but English subs weren't available until season two started airing. The only reason why I haven't finished this is because of the quality of the subs lol but I'm loving it so far!

So who actually watched Hana Kimi after Hana Yori Dango (or vice versa)? These two are like the holy entrance to the world of Japanese dramas lol
