before it's okay to not be okay beat us in # of comments (and potentially top show with highest ratings), just wanted to say, the untamed has proven itself to be worthy of all the love it has received.
it started with a lot of hate and a super low rating, but crawled up to become one of the most popular dramas of 2019. it wasn't backed by particularly famous actors/actresses. the storyline, direction, production, and actors brought the novel alive and did a damn great job at it. (': i'm so proud of what the untamed has achieved.
as for other dramas becoming the next top show/most comments on mdl, that's fine because legends remain legends no matter what. i hope when that time comes, supporters of the untamed are not disheartened and instead are proud that other great dramas rivaled the untamed.
Is there any romance in this drama? I don't mind with spoilers.
Yes, it's censored romance but definitely romance. Don't believe anyone who says it's bromance because even the drama depicts it as romance. It's not even portrayed as bromance either.
I actually don't think the male lead is as much of a jerk as everyone else. He shows so much compassion for his patients and notices all the small details of his coworkers. He is probably the first to actually see Sakura as more than the "cute girl who confessed on day 1". When he is mean to Sakura, I feel like it is mostly justified. She is a nurse, when she fucks up, I think getting yelled at is extremely reasonable since her fuck ups can cause someone their life.
Besides the times she fucks up, he is actually always there for her. When she gets sick or drunk, he takes care of her. Just because he isn't NICE to her doesn't mean that he is MEAN to her.
tbh ep 15 was not bad but not good either. it is boring and my heart doesnt flutter over the romance either. at this point, i'm finishing the drama only because i've come so far already
I know Kangtae isn't upset about his suspension but I FOR SURE AM. Like the fuck???? Why is he getting suspended for protecting his coworker (since Moonyoung technically also works for the hospital). In fact, if anyone should be suspended it needs to be the other nurse (Mr. O) for not being able to stop a visitor from getting aggressive with a patient. He was about to hit Ah-reum if not for Moonyoung's intervention which resulted in Moonyoung getting hit.
Kangtae says "I'll probably get sued soon" but that literally makes no sense since it can definitely be considered self defense as the visitor was about to lay hands on Ah-reum first. By suspending Kangtae, the hospital leaves three messages: they don't care for their staffs' safety (letting Moonyoung get hit and letting the visitor get away with it), they don't care for their patients' safety (suspending someone who tried to protect a patient and a staff), and they allow visitors to get aggressive with no consequences to the visitor.
What spoilers? New synopsis doesn't say how he died, why he died, what threat they discovered, or how he was brought back. I like the new synopsis haha
I think the new synopsis gives away too much (maybe that's just me)..
I think the new synopsis is better than the previous one. It does what a synopsis should do in giving a brief, but detailed, summary of the story that gives potential watchers a knowing of what sets this story apart from others. For a drama with 50 episodes, this synopsis is short and to the point.
I'm curious about which part of the synopsis you feel is giving away too much. Maybe we can discuss that?
This is an amazing series. Can anyone please suggest me some kdramas with similar story/ similar badass female…
the female lead in this drama is pretty unique. i'd say the closest you'll get to a KMY is hotel del luna, which is also a great drama (+ similar crazy beautiful fashion from the female lead)
I reeeeeally like the first two episodes. It spooked the heck out of me! I also love the issues this drama addresses. I hope they don't fuck it up because I really like the drama so far.
For now, I give the first two episodes a 10/10. Will change rating as needed as the show progresses - really hope it stays a 10/10 though.
watched episode 1... who tf decided this drama was a good idea? young Wattpad authors can write a better story.
ji chang wook and kim yoo jung are both very talented actors... did they really actually want to be a part of this drama or did their company force them to take the role? or is the pay that great... (though honestly how did this drama even get the fundings to hire these two actors???)
i forced myself to watch the entirety of episode 1 before forming an opinion because i had faith in the actors but gosh this is as bad as it sounds.
True. But keep in mind she always seems to chose her career over him. She couldn’t even take 2 minutes to write…
yup. I don't think the girlfriend was in the right either. However, I see some people (not you since you clearly acknowledged his faults) treating this drama like it's a story about two people who created a beautiful romance and uses the girlfriend's actions to even justify the wrongdoings of xiyi and jiaxin. honestly, all three of them are kinda eh... like even without xiyi getting a stranger pregnant, he was already acting rather odd by being super nosy and treating jiaxin kind of like a replacement girlfriend the whole time on the cruise. also, having another girl put on your girlfriend's engagement ring is wrong too. and jiaxin was wrong for just letting everything happen. the girlfriend was wrong for being a bad girlfriend but being a bad girlfriend doesn't mean that she doesn't deserve to be at least informed.
oh boy, imagine if your boyfriend got another girl pregnant AND got married without letting you know. this guy would be considered a piece of shit in real life let's be real.

just because a lot of people don't like the drama and are voicing their opinion does not make their comment toxic.
