Title My Mister Spoiler
I think I'm the only one here who didn't enjoy this drama as much as everyone else. I just feel like this drama, in some way, romanticizes (or if not romanticize, definitely not criticize) Ji An's actions. She had no real consequences for her act of stalking and wiretapping Dong Hun. And of course, us viewers sympathize with Ji An so we naturally don't want anything bad to happen to her either. I guess, I just couldn't put that aside.

I mean, of course, initially, there were people who were really upset with Ji An for wiretapping in the first place but quickly that turned into support. Every time Ji An listened to Dong Hun's personal life and got very emotional, I think it is supposed to be a very touching scene but instead, to me, it's just creepy. Dong Hun's privacy is invaded for 24/7. No one seems to be mad at Ji An for that, instead, they support her.

And then there's Kwang Il. So many people actually SHIP Ji An and Kwang Il... like HELLO? Kwang Il is the same person that beats the living crap out of Ji An. Yeah Kwang Il is messed up and I pity him but he needs HELP. Him being mentally unstable is NO EXCUSE for him beating Ji An up.

I just feel like this drama portrays very controversial topics in a positive light and I'm not a fan. My reasons for not liking this drama as much as other people could very well be the same reasons why they love this drama. After all, this drama definitely explores more controversial topics in a deep manner. I am a fan of dramas that aren't cliche too, but I just don't like the way this drama went about it.

I reallyyyyyy really liked Dong Hun's neighborhood though. I think that alone made me stick with this drama to the very end. 6.5/10 rating.

Ik Jun and his son's relationship is already enough of a reason to rate this drama 10/10. This producer is on fire with Prison Playbook, Reply, and now this.

I just realized, JH and YR got divorced too but they didn't go crazy like the other two??? Is it cause they don't…
I feel like maybe it's because the people Jae Hyuk had an affair with weren't emotionally invested the way Tae Oh was with Da Kyung? But you brought up an interesting point. LOL Yerim is just super chill. But I think it's because she knew he was having affairs for awhile already but then was more disappointed (rather than full of rage and anger) in him when he did it again after two (peaceful) years passed.

Title The World of the Married Spoiler
Just out of curiosity... is anyone mad at Tae Oh for nearly killing Sun Woo? I just feel like... if I was under the impression that my son was murdered by anyone (even if that person was my significant other), I would definitely hurt the person who murdered my son. Someone would probably have to hold me back from hurting that person more.

Of course, that's not to say that Tae Oh deserves to be forgiven. He is still a POS who emotionally manipulated people around him and destroyed his family. Plus him stalking Sun Woo and all the other abuse is not justified in any manner. Just thought the part where he physically assaulted Sun Woo was in...some way... expected?

No hate please. I do not condone physical violence and/or abuse. I just wanted to put my head around each character since episode 12 was such an emotional rollercoaster.

Arghhhhhh..... I‘m soooo furious. Not with the sex -that I can rationalize people mistake anger for passion.…
Agreed. Tae Oh is such a piece of shit. Even if it was “simply” a passing affair.... why should Sun Woo forgive him? Adultery is adultery. He should’ve been ready for the consequences if he wanted to have a side girl.

What is Sun Woo thinking !?! Tae Oh cheats on her, beats the crap out of her, gets her demoted, has a crazy guy…
All the anger you feel towards Sun Woo is exactly what makes this drama so realistic and amazing. No character in Sun Woo’s life is simply black and white. Everyone is super complex. The reason why we are all so angry that Sun Woo slept with Tae Oh is the same reason someone she is friends with would be disappointed in her.

Yet even though there’s disappointment, it makes sense. Sun Woo loved this man for a decade. It’s not so easy for her to completely disassociate herself, especially when there are children involved. And yes, Tae Oh has done a lot of crappy things and POS things but there’s no reasoning when it comes to emotions. Many people stay with their abusive (emotionally or physically or both) partners and it’s always easy for us to point fingers and ask why.

yerim the only character i still like now....

i totally get why sun woo hooked up with tae oh, she loved him and if it weren't for the affair, she would have never even dreamed about leaving tae oh... but it's so weird for me to watch this knowing that tae oh physically abused sun woo (even if it's under the assumption of sun woo killing joon young). and even weirder because sun woo can't contain herself when she knows how much it hurts to be cheated on.

did you not see the scarf tho?
yeah i did, but i'm thinking that maybe hyun seo got hurt fighting her ex but her ex died in the fight. or something happened that made her scarf stained. anyhow, i really don't think hyun seo died. hopefully i am right because hyun seo was such a great character ):

in the past, hyun seo was publicly abused by her bf and no one helped her. she said it herself that sun woo was the first person to help her which is why she is loyal to sun woo. hyun seo probably didn't think anyone would help her so her next best bet would be to hide.

what a cruel world.... :l

I really don't think hyun seo was the one who died based on the preview. sun woo didn't seem that upset, instead she seemed anxious that she is a potential suspect

Title Empress Ki Spoiler
I recently rewatched. I thought maybe I've matured more and can understand Tahwan more than I did years ago. I can't. I'm still so mad that Tahwan killed Wang Yoo. Tahwan loves Seung Nyang and sacrificed a lot, sure... but he also took so much from her. Wang Yoo... her family... sexually @ssaulted her... Honestly, I want to believe that at the end, Seung Nyang only "loves" Tahwan because she is used to him by her side and accepted that as her life.

Then there's Wang Yoo... who had done nothing but love and protect Seung Nyang. He never harmed her in anyway and was selfless despite seeing her with Tahwan. They have decades of history and their fate kept bringing them back together against all odds. Seung Nyang and Wang Yoo deserved each other. They had a family going but it was all destroyed. Tahwan decided to kill Wang Yoo using the "secret" as an excuse.

I pitied Tahwan's upbringing but it does not excuse his inability to act as anything other than a brat. You don't force yourself onto someone you love... I feel like people supported Tahwan because he had nobody while Wang Yoo had a good amount of loyal support but Tahwan being a weak emperor is not Wang Yoo's fault so it shouldn't be a "who has it worse competition"

Anyway, this seems to be an unpopular opinion.

I was a fan of Wan'er because she was a cute character, with her chicken leg and all. I was content with her and understood her actions. It seemed like the world was against him and Wan'er which only made me support them even more; however after the mystery was solved and Fan Xian found out Wan'er identity, there was nothing left. The scenes that followed were bland and I tried to excuse it by saying that Fan Xian needed someone who was there just to listen to him and understand him but after thinking about it... That's not really Wan'er since her mother and brother (Lin Gong, not my favorite Da Bao) are enemies of Fan Xian. Hard to be like "My brother and friend Teng Zijing died because of your mother and brother, by the way I'm sad and want to kill them." Here Wan'er has to either push Fan Xian away or ignore that Fan Xian is her family's enemy.

With that though, chemistry is so important... It's sad to just force Wan'er and Fan Xian because she is supposed to be the main lead if there's no chemistry. I don't hate Wan'er but I am sad to say that their little farewell at the flower field... and that kiss scene would usually get me so excited but instead, I skipped it because it was boring and unexciting. Also, sadly I almost wanted Fan Xian to commit adultery only because of the insane chemistry he had with either Si Lili or Haitang Duoduo. That's crazy to me since I don't like or support polygamous relationships in dramas.

Despite all of that, I hope that Fan Xian does not wed multiple wives like in the novel. I hope he loves only one at the end; however, I really hope it is not Wan'er. I believe that the novel did only this one thing wrong. Fan Xian has a mind of the 21st century. Him in the novel treats polygamy too casually and it is kind of out of character. He practices all of the other 21st century ethics with 'all humans should be equal' and he uses a lot of 21st century speech that often confuses others but he would be involved in polygamy? I don't think Fan Xian would do that.

If XZ still around in S2 I hope his acting improves as YBY, so far in S1 all actors played their part well except…
I thought Xiao Zhan did well in his portrayal of Yan Bing Yun. His character is one that is supposed to be emotionless, which is why he was the perfect spy (until a certain someone gave him away). The only time he showed any sort of emotion was when he saw someone he convinced himself not to love get stabbed in front of him and rightly so. Plus, remember, we followed Fan Xian and Xiao En's conversation so we know what Yan Bing Yun doesn't. What YBY knows is, he is a spy that was tortured after being exposed. Xiao Zhan does a good job depicting that cautious and cold character.

this drama is so good omfg, I'm so annoyed at myself. why did I start this knowing that it isn't done airing yet? kdramas air so slow and I know i'd be tortured waiting. :(

also the communication between the main leads is just fabulous. he is truthful and she is too. the only flaw so far is doctor yoo..... why is he airing out his patient's confidential information?

9/10 because xia ke sometimes irked me.

his view of cheating wasn't ethically all the way there?
1.) he crashes into his sister's ex-husband's car because he is angry that he is cheating on his sister.
2.) chu nan out right cheats on xing yun with his sister. this means that xia ke is letting his sister be with someone who has cheated (no matter who the intentions are).
3.) he kisses xing yun on the ferris wheel even though he was under the impression that xing yun was in a relationship with his best friend. meaning he was okay with xing yun cheating on someone.

ALSO i just wanna know... how did xia ke fall for someone like zhang sirui (his ex)??? like he didn't ever like a girl as perfect as yao qing but he was in a relationship and even lived with someone like zhang sirui?
