for someone who was ruling half the nation, it is appalling that it took the ml so long to find out the truth. but at least this time ml is the stupid one running around pretending to be smart, not the fl.

okay i finished it and i adored the cp! i want someone to take them out of this drama and put them into something with better production and budget, just them as is don't change anything about them. maybe bring the writer too (they're totally a feminist), i think they were cooking. a fl that chooses herself without hesitation and a ml genuinely befuddled by love? yea they were on to something.

if you're just getting into this just know that the production is very poor, what we loved is the cp, they were awesome.

i liked their enemies to lovers storyline so much that when she finally admits she likes him towards the end i went well that's too soon! lol. but then i equally liked their lovers era too lmao. i hope full length drama writers will someday have the talent or is it guts to write a real enemies to lovers plot like this, not all the fake ones we keep getting

aw they're so young 🥹🥹🥹, but its kinda interesting so far. this director is the one that likes the 'fl gets drunk and begs ml for sex' scenarios.' i've given him a virtual knock on his head several times though so hope he has sense now

whoever was in charge of this drama's post production deserves two big knocks on the head for the excessive lightning and cracking thunder in every other night scene like what was the thought process there my guy

i actually don't mind a damsel in distress if they are self aware, like this fl. rather than a fl who pretends like she's got it all under control when she's in fact being dumb so the ml has to save her, xiyan openly gambles on the ml coming to save her each time, that's kinda neat

you guys think midi dramas (those mid rate but full lenght 24 eps dramas) are coming back? they scrapped them after mini/vertical dramas took off but i've been noticing the minute per ep on some dramas inch up and true, actors like these who can't land main roles in major productions but are too big time for mini dramas do need to land somewhere.

some one below said the ml and fl deserve more screen time and i agree. for once deng kai has chemistry with his fl, but the drama isn't romance centered 🙃luckily its equally fun watching her scheme everyone's murders so

if the mini drama presidents have any sense they'll make this fl actress the next mini drama IT girl, bc this is the third consecutive drama of hers i've seen where she hasn't failed to elicit chemistry from her ml. bad or good writing doesn't matter, her and that man are gonna have some damn nice chemistry

i agree, her best roles are where she is a wallflower, or laidback. she can't do femme fatale/seductive roles. its why i don't find her 2025 mini drama reign successful, they keep miscasting her in all these mini dramas with already below par stories

i really like li shuang's legolas vibe (lean, swift, featherlight, delicate but deadly, quick with it, you get the idea). this is something that producers really need to lean into if they're gonna keep feeding us rail thin female generals

I dropped this drama while it was airing but I just randomly went back to watch the ending and lmaooo, i'm happy I have yet another drama I can confidently recommend to my enemies.
