They did released all the episodes today...thanks goodness coz I don't think i could have waited per the schedule that was shown on the pictures section of this page..this drama was very good and got me all on the edge as to what was going to happen next...Nevertheless it had a HE. I loved the drama. Except for a few things that happened when the FL arrived to Shang Hai...this drama is a 10. So, I revised its rating to a 10. All cast's acting except for Tony Yang's was a 10, they all did an excellent job!!! It's funny, I started the drama cuz I wanted to watch Tony Yang...and got me hooked from the 1st episode. The actual ML is the actor who did the role of Mr Xia Yuan not Tony Yang though. It's really an excellent drama. It showed the Chinese family culture in those times very accurate, and so was the political situation then. I will miss it...Excellent drama!

Yeah, unfortunately because of the restriction...but i loved the long many episodes dramas. It's too bad the government had to intervene to limit what the arts really want to do...

I would agree too. I'm sure many others would agree with you and the drama could have performed even much better than it has already...but rumors has it that they wanted to promote the actor who did the Book, so that's why I would guess, they changed the main theme around the FL.
I'm on ep 34...it's so good...this drama is a 9.5 for me😊...4 more episodes to go...so sad it's ending but I can't wait for the next episodes. It's too bad they won't do early releases, this drama got me to the edge of my seat waiting for new episodes on the early morning of every day this week.
I changed my ratings cuz it's been quite entertaining since ep 24...although lots of unbelievably things that only happen on tv dramas, nonetheless, it's been entertaining. I give this drama a 8.5 for now😊
Very nice picture of Gao Han. I really like his work...hope he can become a ML soon...I think he may lack height...very few actors can be as lucky as Tian JX who's very short but because of his work with YZ forgot the drama's name, he became very popular even though he's a shorty...but TJX can sing, dance, and act...it took him a long while but he took advantage of his opportunities when they arrived. I wish GH the same luck!!!
This drama since episode 24 has made a surprising good turn, after the fiasco nonsense of the affair between the old man from the police station with the FL. I'm up to ep 28 and it's been quite entertaining since ep 24. It really depicts well the most despicable family greed culture that existed in the old times...I hope that by now, we no longer have that type of culture that we saw in the FL's brother and sister's in law.
I give this drama a 7 and that's being very generous!...this drama started in its first 3-4 episodes very well but man, it went downwards, with such a trashy script. It's all old actors (including actresses) and everyone falling in love with the old FL. There's only one young actor there but the funny thing is that he uses a wick 😄😄😄. Tony Yang has so bad acting in this drama....nevertheless, i started this drama and I am following it although doing ff here and there for now..but boy, if it's a 7 for me...the gold of this drama are its 2 ost songs...I love the opening song, it's so good! I think the same singer sings both of them.

"Ting Feng Ling" is adapted from the novel "Tang An Wu Ming," named after its protagonist, Shi Wuming. First, let's take a look at how the series "Ting Feng Ling" is described in its official filing (Picture 2) that was granted in November 2024. However, the promotional synopsis on the platform Mango TV (Picture 3) differs from the official filing significantly. Picture 4 shows the major differences.
Yu Zheng posted on Weibo after fans noticed the differences and said that he wasn't aware of the change, but in Picture 4 we see that the filming approval was granted on November 1st last year, and the project has been called Ting Feng Ling all along instead of "Tang An Wu Ming", which indicates the focus on the second male lead (because Ting Feng Ling is named after the organization name of the second male lead), and the fact that the story has changed from a case-solving focus to the relationship between the two male leads.
Such a setup clearly shows that the production team needs Xu Kai in order to get approval to start the project. However, in order to prop up the second male lead, they’ve arranged a parasitic, binding collaboration, which is very unfair and disadvantageous to Xu Kai. Since May of this year, there has been a significant amount of bundled marketing promotional content online, many of which contain borderline Boy's Love (BL)-themed suggestive wording.
Yu Zheng also stated that if Xu Kai rejected the project, he would have to pay liquidated damages. That was in May, the parties may have signed a letter of intent at most, and there is no way for us to know if Xu Kai actually signed anything related to Ting Feng Ling. I didn't find this was the case. Truly, Xu Kai had more screen times than all of the other Male supporters. Only on ep 36 and 37, they had the supporting characters more to close up their stories. But TXW was also a lot less in those 2 episodes, maybe 10 minutes more than XK. Overall, Xu Kai had a good amount of screen times in most of the episodes; I'd say at least 30 out of 38, (if not more), in which, he had a good amount of screentimes. Of course, when he's on the screen, the story flies, so maybe that made it feel that way 😄. In the first 2-4 episodes, they had him a lot less, and maybe in episodes 8-9, but afterwards, it was alright...
