Song Kang is only get hyped bcz of love alarm and nevertheless.
hahhaa am i the only one who truly appreciates the fact that he always gets paired with veteran actresses?? I see it as privileged tbh. Not in terms of popularity obviously but quality and diversity of the dramas. I have yet to be dissapointed with lee do hyun led dramas. They were all extremely diverse in both genre and plots.
Can someone explain what this BluRay thing is? I heard the cut scenes will be made into a "special edition." Where…
It's like a physical DVD set typically containing deleted scenes/director's cuts, NGs , commentary from the cast and photobook ( contents may vary across dramas). You wont find it anywhere else because it is produced in limited numbers and quite expensive too. Kdramas dont usually produce blu-ray. It needs to achieve a certain level of demand and pre-order (include payment ) for them to consider making one. Plus they also need to consider or get permission from the distributor or streaming platforms of that specific drama .
The demand survery is usually made through the drama official fancafe where fans will need to join the fancafe first. The appointed team will then open a pre-order requiring payment. Based on the amount of pre-orders , they will proceed to negotiate with the broadcaster and production company for blu-ray production.
Fortunately, there was enough demand and pre-order for Youth of May so the production company concurred for Blu-ray production The pre-order is still open till today i think through the fancafe?? Also available for international fans as well
It was mentioned in the long synopsis and first synopsis released. That they reunite when he turns 22 when he comes back to the school ( for whatever reason) and are caught in whirwhild of events.
i believe the drama does set in high school but lee do hyun's character is a high school student for a couple of episodes only.
i dont think so. The drama has two timelines. Highschool and adulthood. if romance does take place, i believe it will only be properly developed after he becomes an adult when they reunite again.
This was the first Kdrama I watched back in 2001 and got be hooked into K-drama. It’s a feel-good series where…
no you are not alone. I also rewatch the drama every year .Its that good. I usually start from episode after ML comes back from overseas and starts working at the company. Thats when it gets real juicy. hahhaa
definitely watching this. Immensely enjoyed both actors' previous projects so i trust that there's something about the script that made them picked this one.
Doesn't matter to me whether this includes romance element or not. Either way is fine. They both had experience working opposite lead with huge age gap so i am looking forward to their dynamics ( platonic/romance)
it seems like even if they decide to go for the romance route, it will only happen after he becomes an adult so i dont really see any problem personally.
What abt the screen time of LDH n his romance or love story bcoz no young FL with him?? I wanna watch just for…
He had a lot of screen time here since the story revolves around his character. He has romance scenes with both young and older version of his wife ( played by different actresses ). However , since it's a family genre , the romance wasn't much of a focus. It was not the kind of romance that you'd typically find in romance centric dramas.
can someone explain to me wht they were fighting for and fighting against? i couldnt understand the situation.…
You can google gwangju uprising to learn more. There is a blog that did per-episode analysis for the drama from a historical perspective. Maybe this will help you to understand the situation a bit better . Although i do understand what was going on, i am not confident enough to explain it myself since I am far from being an expert.
The ending was unsatisfying to say the least. There's no closure whatsoever. They didnt even show present-day…
They actually showed present day soochan and suryeon at the beginning of last episode. Maybe u missed it bcs it was extremely short . I figure due to its limited runtimes, having only 12 episodes , they decided to focus on certain characters only for the closure. The rest is left for imagination.
Hee Tae seemed to be having a hard time moving on after losing Myung Hee . Considering he repeatedly attempting suicide, i dont think he would be all that interested in getting married or having kids tbh.
How sad is it? I don't wanna be depressed. Is it worth it?
hahaha dont worry tbh the first half wasnt all that sad. There were a lot of funny and happy moments (some frustrating and sad moments too) It wasn't all that overwhelmingly depressing . Even during the uprising , it still had some sweet moments with the leads. It was the ending that was a bit hard to swallow.
Its definitely worth it for me but you can scroll down to see more comments from others and maybe read some reviews to decide if it's for you.
Who else is still coming back here a depressed melon? x(
you are not alone. I am probably will never able to . Everytime i read anything related to 5.18 democratic movement , this drama automatically pops into my mind and then i get depressed again lmaoo
I like Na Bi a lot and the first episode was pretty enjoyable. A bit slow at times but i am honestly excited to follow her relationship journey. Doesn't matter who she ends up with, i just want her to have character development and satisfying arc by the end of series.
Yup that "look back" scene. Writer Lee Kang even selected it as one of his favourite scenes because he was so…
Yup i love both of them as well. Definitely gonna check out their individual's future projects. It'd be great if they get to reunite for another project.
The scriptbook is currently opened for pre-order on yesasia http://m.yes24.com/Goods/Detail/101924169. It also contains scenes that did not make it on the screen . We definitely gonna get more of this comparison later once fans get their hands on the scriptbook
