im thinking d same - y are these types of dramas written?? Y?? IDC if they girl is even 19 but once a secondary…
Mainly, this genre exists because of male directors enacting their fatasies, they like the idea of young girls chasing older men. Which consequently influences young girls into thinking this is the genre they like. Then, when those young girls convince themselves that they only like older men, they go looking for them and then men benefit from it because they can point fingers and say "she asked for it" when things go wrong. Its a vicious circle. I'm urging young girls to question why they like this trope, because it's most likely just grooming by media. There's absolutely nothing normal or romantic about "love" between a teenager and a full grown adult.
I don’t think it’s because people didn’t want “drama“ in a drama is why we’re pausing but because…
yeah I think this is the first time we're seeing a disconnect. But don't you find it weird that they managed to stay consistent for this long only to break character and take the cheap route? I find it odd. the sudden shift just makes me think they're compromising to leave room for something else or truly the writer is weak and all along we've been enjoying the work of the director. we'll see.

true but I think it too early to say its poor writing, For now I'm choosing to believe it was a necessary evil or a vehicle for other plots. Sometimes writers choose the easy approach when there's something more complicated to come. But I'm also pausing it till Saturday
but I mean did y’all really want to watch 20 more episodes without any drama? I don’t mind some turmoil here and there 🤥 its a drama not a nature documentary.
its 40 episodes I’m sure if there weren’t any issues, people would be get bored. I feel like it’s very balanced so far, the beginning was a nice slow burn, then they got together halfway and now we’re at the part where a challenge will bring them closer. Bring on the mild stress, I’m ready. (as long as it doesn’t drag too long)
the rating is a waaay too inflated for what it is. its a decent time filler, objectively this is a 6, might even be lower if you have high expectations.
this drama has become my comfort drama. I feel like this is the kind of series that will leave a hole in your life when it ends. the relationships are so deep and the characters are so real, you can’t help but get immersed in their daily life. what are we watching next to fill that hole? 😭
I agree with some of what you say but, for example, I'm not sure this drama is worth a 8.5 for me, and I love…
I think we both sum up the issue here. I guess my frustration also stems from the professional in me that sees a lack of consistency and obsolete metric causing frustrations for a lot of users, which ultimately is a design flaw in my opinion. The rating system exists to bring information to the public, what's the use of having a feature that is showing skewed false information and is a tool actively used to promote idols instead of dramas? You bring a lot of good points here and I think if we have to intersect our opinions it would boil down to needing a disclaimer to incentivize people against mob rating, boosting, and being more mindful of the community and the drama, Or maybe just making people fee more responsible by adding an "I confirm that this rating is unbiased" checkbox. If people are set on keeping their crazy biases rating system, maybe mdl could have two rating options, a personal one that doesn't skew the chart and a public one that encourages more mindful objective rating.
I'm throwing these ideas to show that there are ways to please both sides. I don't think that this is a debate where there's a side that is right and one that is wrong. If people are complaining it means that something needs to be fixed or adapted. Of course, at the end of the day, it's not that serious, but great work should be rewarded, and since the feature already exists why not make it actually truthful.
Btw, feelings are a legitimate criteria in an objective rating, but only if given that it is not the sole criteria.
there are many things I dont get about this drama and how it was written, but mostly I don't get why the second female lead had to have a love triangle. That's ill fitting for a drama like this...I don't understand where these three characters fit in this story
I haven't watched it yet, can you tell me if the og version also has a crime plot ?
wow thanks this a explains a lot, so basically because the tone of the drama is different from the og a lot of the original plots and characters acid not translate well, combined with very poor writing
