people are way too comfortable being unprofessional at their jobs and then even going ahead and posting about it on sns these days. have some self reflection
caught up on all 6 eps - i'm loving absolutely everything about this. dying to know how they will handle the timeloop at the end! this drama just kinda hits all boxes, i love the cooking scenes SO much, the leads' interactions are just as if not more delicious and all the side characters are fun. heck, even the palace intrigue is interesting to watch. i've never clicked with sageuk before and had no idea why, but queen yoona fucking did it. gonna have to try real hard now to not speak like joseon citizen the next time i attend class lmao
2/3 watched and wow. kim hee won did it again I AM *SO* SAT FOR THIS
each cast member is pulling their weight, jun ji hyun and kang dong won are captivating together, the score is banging, the plot is plotting, it's great. i love how fast we were thrown into the story, with jun ik's death now haunting the entire narrative. i don't know who and what to believe and i love it
Yup, thanks for this. In kdrama scenes, its kinda a thing ML get more compliments than FL eventhough the FL deserved…
also probably helps that she's an actual hobby cook and baker, you should check out some of the stuff she makes irl, she's got a real knack for it. i feel that must have helped her a lot being already very enthusiastic about it
no, that's still correct, just different romanization. there is no one correct way to romanize korean spelling in english. there are several systems for this and some are preferred but it is generally not standardized, you'll quickly realize this if you study korean
also, calm down, jesus. we all know it's a shit drama but you're talking out of your ass. the decline in quality can't be blamed on just one or two factors and the domestic industry has its own issues that aren't solely related to the "influence" of western media. if you actually cared and looked into the korean film and drama industry properly you would know that. and dumbing down both the western and the korean industry into whatever you're calling it is highly reductionist and shallow, but you don't seem to be very self-aware.
What a waste of good actors time and talent. Disappointed, but not shocked since it’s from Disney.
it's not from disney at all? it's a KBS and studio x+u production and has been from the beginning. disney is merely a distribution service to make it accessible on streaming.
it's absolutely no coincidence this drama is doing so well on netflix. King the Land ranks #3 overall in total viewing hours among TV shows (1.13B hours viewed) released in 2023-2025. by now the whole world knows and loves yoona <3
Very Very Very curious about Song Joongki's cameo here... his cameos tend to be memorable
any clue on why he's cameo-ing here? his last ones were mostly because he's worked with the director, but here i have no idea 🤔 maybe just bc of han hyo joo?
