speak your truth. had to endure tons of insufferable comments when the judge from hell was airing (highly recommend btw), it's thriller that had the romance tag since the day it was announced and yet there were still people coming in and calling the loveline "unnessecary" or "forced", on top of not understanding it was crucial to the plot. people often don't wanna read and inform themselves or they simply want to complain about a drama not giving them what they want, it's tiring

i'm in the exact same boat as you! i was 16 when i watched it. so many good memories attached to the time in which this drama came out.

these trailers got me shaking in my boots for real. from the crew interviews i've read, this is going to be an absolute force of a drama, kim hee won stated that this drama was really a chance to flex the entire creative team's skills and show "how far they can really take it" (many of whom also worked with her on little women etc.) - we have some of hallyu/chungmuro's best actors, some of the best composers in the industry, a writer-director team with basically only hit projects under their belt and lots of other staff that worked on highly acclaimed projects. around 200 filming locations all over the world. this will be BIG. i'm so unbelievably excicted for this

it'll highly likely still have comedic elements even if it's not a main genre - the original webtoon is categorized as black comedy among other genres.

i'm in the same boat as you and tbh i just zone out during the court politics parts if it doesn't directly concern the plot of the leads lol. i'm not outright skipping scenes but i'm also not 'forcing' myself to try and understand things, and i found i can enjoy the show in a more relaxed manner that way. the romance and comedy is still the front focus anyway, as of now at least
