seems like itβs low budget the production and locations, well everything is very similar to morning dramas;…
Song Hoon is probably the only popular actor in this drama and they might have brought him in for the ratings. The guy is pretty known in Korea if not internationally. Also the main reason I'm watching this. Lol
Oh, but there are some supporting actors who are veterans so I'm hoping this drama will turn up well with their acting added in.
Don't burn me for this, however, I am compelled to write it down.
The drama quality is seriously poor in terms of scene execution and research. - Pointing out the medical scene when the FL was being revived (you'll know what I mean if you're from the medical field). - The art gallery scene, how things are done, the comments they say about art, and the whole point of the art show. I can't say more about it but if you're an art major or have interests in art galleries or museums - you'll also understand.
I'll stop here, but there are other details I don't need to point out as to why this drama is lacking.
But before you throw stones at me, please hear me out.
What made this drama very interesting though, is the mystery aspect, the transition of characters from the present to the past, and the overall chemistry of the actors. The main leads have such great chemistry that I don't care about those lacking details at all because the actors/characters themselves can fill out that void. The storyline is also very promising and hopefully, we'll enjoy the makjang at its peak, some fluff moments (not that episode 2 doesn't have them already), and some sexy time if permitted. I'm actually looking forward to my weekends because of this.
So what I'm saying is, that this drama isn't as high quality or perfect compared to some dramas, but this is definitely worth a try if you just want to immerse yourself into the world of KDrama with lots of Makjang moments and romance.
I doubt she poisoned her father. She wanted to die in front of Jang Hyun because she was too sad, telling him…
Totally understandable, since her character has been portraying as someone who's manipulative and could do all kinds of things to get what she wants. So when her humanity is shown, it's hard to say if it's real or not.
When Gil Chae said she was sold and abused by Barbarians, did that mean she was defiled as everyone was accusing…
I wish the translation was better because the whole context was a jumbled mix. It's a bit of a mystery for me since everyone in the drama is asking and she wasn't able to answer that in a straight forward way. I would still understand if she was raped, and would be more amazed if it didn't even happen to her (or more like she made sure it didn't happen). It's so much easy for that to happen that the probability of it not happening is next to zero during that time. I just need clarity. lol.

The translation wasn't exactly clear on answering if she was actually raped or not. She said that she was abused but not sure at what extent. The show was clear on portraying she tried hard to save her chastity but that doesn't mean nothing happened entirely.
But for Jang Hyun that really didn't matter. Which was what I really loved about him.

She bet on something and either way it's a win situation for her.
The princess jumping off could mean 2 things: She was ready to die because she was sad and afraid to live in a place where her father was dead. Which reflects on what she told Jang Hyun.
At the same time she put Jang Hyun in the test to prove that he's someone who helps if someone sincerely needed it.
This is how I interpreted this specific scene. I'm not saying I'm right, but it's another way to look at the whole situation.
While in part 1, I'm more into GC and JH relationships but now I'm totally into the political things. I wonder…
The political aspect of this drama is amazing..it shows how small decisions in court can affect the lives of people. Not even the court actually, even those discussed in private houses and bedrooms. A death of someone important means the death of many others.
Just a thought. The Princess likes to get want she wants. She wants JH. There was a quick statement by the General…
