So far it's one of the my top 1 mini series in Chinese costume. The plot isn't exactly a no brainer, but the actors nailed the show and the overall delivery was great and there was that awesome chemistry from the leads.

Same! The first and last wattpad movie adaptation I watched was Diary ng Panget. I haven't read the book but I definitely loved the movie. I have high hopes for this one as this is my first wattpad Drama adaptation to watch and the first Filipino drama I've seen in like... 20 years after 2005 Encantadia. I feel freaking old but we got really good dramas back then before other Asian drama's took more part in my screen time.
What the heck only 1 episode per week and we get 16 episodes to root for??? They should have made this at least 2 episodes per week like what we're used to. lol. But still...
I'm actually near my 40's but why am I still digging shows like this in such a kilig way?!? I feel I'm watching a brand new Hana Yori Dango show but made in my own country. Can't wait for the next episode this week!
That kind of ending isn't exactly my cup of tea that's why I rated it 8/10
The acting was stellar and I loved Duan Wu and Shi Jiu's journey the most. I wish Zi Jing didn't have to die and he got stay beside the person he loved longer but unfortunately the writers had to give him a miserable ending making me feel a bitter taste of reality if one gets poisoned (a person's life span definitely gets shortened).
Aside that, I loved all supporting cast and this drama made me cry like I haven't for the last couple of months after watching a sad drama which I'm burying to memory because it just left me traumatized.
That said I'm still recommending this drama because it's about the journey of a great female protagonist and not about the ending of a bittersweet drama.
you mean the Chinese novel itself isn't complete? So the ending for this drama isn't based on the Novel's ending? or is it just the english translation that's not yet complete?
I haven't seen the anime or read the manga, so far though this drama caught me off guard and made me binge watch…
How was the manga? Is it already completed? I'm thinking of reading it after the drama is aired. The drama got me hooked even though there's so much backstory missed. It's interesting as it is, I'm hoping the manga is going to be a good read too.
