Your "content warnings" are ridiculous and amusing. What is the "KICK" you are warning kick-phobic people from…
He kicked him off the bed, I realize it might not bother you, but people who have been in abusive relationships (as I have) might be bothered by things like shoves, kicks, slaps, etc and so I list them.
In addition to supposedly dating for over a year, don't Kuea and Lian know each other from like...birth??? Weren't…
This is based on a book so maybe the writers felt bound to how that played out (I didn't read the book). I think it's that fantasy romance idea of another person just can't live without you. The reader/watcher is supposed to find Lian's insistence on marriage romantic. Yes, the second couple's dynamic was even more controlling.
"do not feel like they've been in romantic relationships for a year, they feel like middle schoolers who just…
In addition to supposedly dating for over a year, don't Kuea and Lian know each other from like...birth??? Weren't they going on weekly dates for a long time??? Their lack of communication drives me nuts.
Some people really love this series so it definitely works for them. I can see the appeal of the fictional helpless/innocent character with the aggressive/protector character. It's not really my thing though, I love agency and communication.
edit - oh and this long time skip but feels like they just started dating happened in the Coffee Melody special eps too, hope this isn't a trend. These characters are in their 20s.
This would have been a 9.5 but I think they made some missteps in the end. 1. pretty sure they had originally intended only 10 episodes and then tacked on the 11th after the series was popular. This makes me suspicious if the original ending was sad which would have been terrible 2. 2 year time gap was way too long, it should have been 2 weeks max 3 months 3. 100 days every 2 years, WTH?!? they should have been able to stay indefinitely and not just 100 days every few years 4. in ep 11,over half the screen time was Jung Woo being sad, they should have cut that to a few minutes and then had more time with the reunited pairs 5. if they have a second season and get rid of the waiting every 2 years for 100 days then I'll bump season 1 up to 9.5 but for now it's a solid 9
This timeline is one of the, or maybe the most confusing I've ever faced watching BL and damn do I watch BL...…
The timeline has at least made more sense in recent episodes but that second episode was a doozy. It's a shame because I think it would have been better if they had told the story in a more linear fashion.
I see that I can rate individual episodes but not Review them, please let me know where that ability is. Also…
Thanks for the info. I don't have time to re-do all my first impressions. The next time I write a first impression, I'll try the episode review and then for the final review make a show review.
Did you know you can review individual episodes on MDL, leaving your final review for when all episodes have aired?
I see that I can rate individual episodes but not Review them, please let me know where that ability is. Also does reviewing an individual episode show up under the Reviews tab? I write a First Impression so people can decide if they'd like to start the series or not. Then I update to a final review at the end (and if my initial review changes a lot then I update partway thru). Thanks.
this content warning is a major spoiler for the first episode
cw: suicide in episode 1, pretty much shown so please take care - it's also shown many times in flashbacks but you can see when it's happening and fast forward
content warning and general explanation of the title (what kind of ending it has for the m/m couple)
cw: character deaths off screen and grief; the main m/m couple are not ghosts, they don't die and it's a happily ever but there are sad parts during the series
