Amazing review! Have to agree with you. Point to note: isn’t the starting intro of the drama a recap of S1?…
Haha., kind of. For people unfamiliar with season 1, I wanted just a short actual recap to explain what happened in season 1, this would take place at the start of the first episode. I don't know that the short clips for the intro sequence explain their story well enough. Then I wanted the s2 intro to be focused on season 2 instead of season 1 clips.
So wait, was the entire series a student film project (because obviously students have the budget to make a 2+ hour movie, another thing that's stupid but but not stupid in a funny way), uuuuughhhhhh
Rescue breathing for CPR is not "non consensual kissing." Christ, would you prefer to see people die than to have…
Umm, no I'm not letting someone die who actually needs rescue breathing or CPR (I am currently certified). Getting hit by a car might not require either, he never checked if he wasn't breathing or he didn't have a pulse.... this was obviously just used as a kind of "meet cute" and I thought it was stupid. I'll move it into the "room for improvement" as I did debate putting it as a content warning.
Did the male friend express a romantic intrest in the female artist? IDK. I thought he expressed an romantic intrest…
I re-watched it (episode 7 at the beginning) and it's not clear but I interpreted it as he liked the female artist. I feel like you would tell a platonic friend who you are talking about but he rushes to say "it's not someone you know". I also didn't like how they had her interested in the guy (though she says it wasn't really romantic???) because it detracted from the f/f potential romance... Overall, I just wanted these parts to be more clear or leave them out as they seemed unnecessary to me.
May I ask why you put the mullet in the room for improvement? :D
Haha, because they could have not had the mullet. I personally really dislike mullets - but my final review I'll likely leave it off and replace it with other things that I didn't like :P
Hey,I want to know if the storyline of novel and the series is same or different.
I read part of the novel awhile ago so I'm not sure of all the changes but I liked the ones that I've noticed thus far. In the novel, I believe Kinn trashes the bar that Porsche works at and he beats up Jom. I think he also buys Porsche's house all to manipulate Porsche into working for him. In the series, it's Kinn's dad who tells Kinn to get Porsche to be a bodyguard and this is an interesting change. Porsche is the one to sell the watch in the novel but because he got a lot of money for it, I think Kinn wanted the watch back - I'm fuzzy on this but the watch stuff was a bit different. I can't remember in the novel if there was an uncle and if he was gambling.
I don't remember the novel having that opening scene with the Italians or the boat scene. And the novel didn't have Porsche underground fighting (that I remember).
They stuck with the overall characters/plot of the series adaptation but changed plot points and I thought they did a great job with the first episode.
