Yes, I think the younger sister plot was the weakest. The m/m romance was one of my favorites and I like how they discussed social issues not shown as much in media hence my high rating.

I don't think those from the industry are going to be influenced by my or others MDL reviews though if they are, there are a wide range of reviews/perspectives for them to draw from. I see everything from 2-10 on 10Dance. All reviews are subjective, they are based on our experiences and what we value. I value that the movie tried something different from what we've seen before.
Also, thinking more about it, there is a lot of subtext that some people might not be used to and might rate it lower. I added internalized homophobia because I think Sugiki Shinya had a ton of internalized homophobia in particular. He also wanted to control everything and did not want to be vulnerable. These things weren't explicitly stated, a viewer has to make inferences. I did not take off points for that kind of subtlety; however, I can see how others who want things more clearly defined would take off points.
