Am I the only one getting annoyed with Gong Ziyu? Sure, he's determined and tries his best, but he's way too naive and immediately denies claims about people he's close to. This is Wu Feng we're talking about, and he doesn't seem alert about the issue at all. Ughhh...

Still can't get over the fact that Gong Yuanzhi called Zishang "jie jie" in a soft puppy voice LOLL

I am honestly amazed by the production quality. What really makes this drama stand out from the others is the brilliant use of camera angles that intricately capture each subtle expression, the furrowing of the brows, the twitch of the lips, the sparkle in the eyes.

Btw, 魑魅魍魎 (Chi Mei Wang Liang) all have ghost in them. (just a little fun fact)

Episode 14 is hilarious. Xiang Yun looked towards Li and Weng Weng for hell but got “It’s a tower and “it’s dust on it” instead.” And the rivalry between Chu Kong and Xiu Ming is literally killing me. Ding Yuxi’s eyebrow raise is iconic.

I started this drama because of LBFAD. I’m continuing this drama because of its own story. At episode 10, I’m hooked

The costume crew certainly doesn’t disappoint. Gorgeous costumes in both LBFAD and LYST.

I don't know about y'all but I am adoring this drama rn.

Compared to past Xianxias, how good is this drama, based on the first few episodes?

I haven't had a lot of time to watch dramas, but I just started When I Fly Towards You Today and am on episode 6. From the very first second of the opening of episode 1, I was already sold. Director Mao De Shu (Cat's Tree) really doesn't disappoint. From the camera angles, color use, OST, and the actors themselves, everything really does bring out the beauty of youthhood.

But what really has stuck with me so far is the title of the first episode.

"消失的下雨天，我好想再淋一边。"

I really want to experience the disappearing rainy day again.

I'm only 25% into the drama and I can see why it's rated 9 on MDL.

The way Duan Jiaxu was smiling in his car after the call with Qian Fei...OH MY GOD. He really has fallen for Sang Zhi now.

Duan Jiaxu's dialogue to the sleeping, drunk Sang Zhi in the car in episode 12 was literally one of the most heartwarming scenes. On one hand, his words are so tender, affectionate, and caring, telling her how he will protect her and only be good to her. On the other hand, I'm trying not to scream at this man that she was literally talking about him LOL.

Sang Zhi is getting the motherly love that Niao Niao never got 😭😭😭 awww
