If you're looking for short Xianxias, I don't have many to recommend. They were 6-8s for me, but were enjoyable. Here are a few:

Less than 36 episodes

-My Dear Brothers

If you're looking for higher budget, very successful Xianxias, they're almost all pretty long, unfortunately. But I loved these:
-Love and Redemption
-Love and Destiny
-Ashes of Love
-Ancient Love Poetry
-Eternal Love (TMoPB)
-Eternal Love of Dream
-Journey of Flower

That's awesome! I love the Xianxia genre as well (my dramalist says it all), but some of them have started to get a bit repetitive and tropey. Fortunately, this one was unique and amazing.

Lol! Some of the lines are unforgettable, even the shorter ones.

Have to agree with you on that one. Only a few Cdramas I've watched are on par with the acting and production quality here.

The ending was not what many watchers wanted, I have to admit. I was expecting a wedding, or even life with little children, something like Love and Redemption. But it's important to remember that unlike some longer Xianxias such as Eternal Love, Love and Redemption, Ancient Love Poetry, etc, LBFAD was not a high-budget drama. Actually, the production and acting team didn't even expect the drama to blow up like it has, LOL! But good for them, because this drama has stolen the hearts of so many.

There are two very short episodes that the official production team released, but they're just snippets from the drama and nothing new. Again, they didn't expect for the drama to be such a big hit so they just quickly compiled some sweet clips for the audience to enjoy. But at least we were given a happy ending. :)

Totally agree! It stays within some Xianxia boundaries but takes away some of the most common tropes and really gives us a breath of fresh air. Production quality was beautiful, and the different colored skies were especially a treat.

Wang Hedi‘a acting in LBFAD was exceptional. I take back all the negative stuff I have said abt him in the past lol. His acting has improved IMMENSELY. It’s very hard to describe (but you’d understand) 😉, but his acting here just raised him above other Xianxia actors. And he’s so young! He has a very bright future in the drama industry 💪

Guys, Chang Heng (Zhang Linghe) is appearing in Love You Seven Times as a cameo! The two dramas are connected because the author wrote them that way.

I am in awe that all of the FL’s outfits are from Yu Shuxin’s irl wardrobe! Her taste is impeccable!

The way Xiao Lanhua talks IS Yu Shuxin's "normal". This is her voice irl, however, she actually has an amazing voice range. It's interesting how you used the word normal. Just curious, what is a normal voice? Never knew that there was a specific criteria. Most Chinese drama FLs have higher pitched voices lol.

Her "bubbly cute voice" is a sign of a major character personality progression as the story advances, and the pitch does slightly change.

You're going to find that most Xianxia FLs have bubbly/cute voices. Might be a time to switch to Kdrama murder mysteries.
