Caught up so I can watch the final episode tomorrow. Looks like a time skip about a year when JH gives the rights…
Welcome back, glad to have you even though i dunno why you are doing this to yourself 😂
Depending on the ending (oh how poetic lol) i may up the rating another 0,5, bringing it to a whooping 2,5 on my list. As said it is in good company with the likes of Woori the Virgin on my list, and imo the mdl rating generally should be the same like WTV too, lol. Maybe i even will write a review as a PSA, to warn people 😂
Now you changed your profile for destined with you
oh yeah, i am obsessed with that drama right now, the loser puppy and the chaotic af lead dynamic, sorry not sorry😆
The whole dog scene ("give me the paw") still makes me giggle whenever i think about it. And his different kinds of GET A GRIP JANG SHINYU feel like a personal challenge to Rowoon by now to repackage them new each time 😂
I don't know how they're going to solve this love potion issue. But if his feelings are genuine, I still don't…
imo it happened AFTER the whole love spell business... when he followed her to the beach and accompanied her in the memorial of her father. He was significantly considerate and kinder to her then without any noticable reason and also that taxi ride back. Imo this is the moment/time where he was done for heh.
I cried at the temple scene when TK expressed his gratitude to his father and siblings and siblings-in-law. Finally…
Her immune system reacted accordingly in the proximity of this demon and gave her fever. She did well defending herself 😂
See these are the family scenes i wanted but never got due to momzilla wilding and rotten fruit kim junha did nothing wrong bullshit for a trillion episodes instead.
There is one episode left and so many things that should be exploited and was not. 1. Yeon Doo career and difficult…
Agree but shared custody is not a thing in SK and seeing this abusive shithead it is for the better. He is not even fit to be a decent human, least of all a "father"
what a great episode< NOT. The writer really loves JH's character. He " kidnapped" HN, and no consequences again…
It was already kidnapping the moment this bastard went off the agreed upon time and place with Yeondoo, for he has ZERO custody rights and thus the police would have come down on his ass hard. IF THEY WERE EVER CALLED but nope can't have writer's pet being held accountable for anything. (Reward him instead!)
Same for the other demon of course who collects apologies like scout badges instead of being the one apologizing for making their lives a living hell for a year and counting. I have never watched a show that insulted my intelligence and investment more than TRHC (╯°Д°)╯︵/(.□ . \)
Broke up once after she left town with noble idiocy and fear of the sperm donor then time skip of a year enough…
Haha I feel like a parrot by now but the big best three are definitely Once Again, Five Enough and My Father Is Strange. Homemade Love Story is also a nice watch as said, Never Twice is a fam drama to watch if you want a similar theme to this trainwreck here but better executed (it is also about a single/widowed mother who falls in love with a rich man that ends up the father for her infant son) There are certainly more good ones but these should keep you busy for a start heh.
I wrote here something similar as a reason why it went off the cliff down into a flaming pile of trash almost…
I do know from my buddy that TRHC has changed production teams midway through, hence i very much surmise that the pressure of the suits upstairs were responsible for the changes in order to create ratings and buzz thru cliches and aaaaaaaangst. As i will not be tired to mention how Inok had been mapped out as reasonable person that comes around two eps later, with the lead couple then going on their beach date in eps 34 and we were to see them growing together going from that point forward, focusing on family stories, once again style. (back then there was a rumor of marriage even right after around eps 37/38 and the timejump coming then after that with haneul being born around family instead with YD alone)
Plus this redemption arc that is forced down our throats now waaaay too late in the kim junha show was supposed to happen around eps 30-ish WITHOUT the bastard going off the rails as he then did. Everything that is happening now with the writer's stinky pet is actually the og redemptive arc this hack is stubbornly now still pushing thru, no matter if it fits or not. You know just like eps 40 felt like it was supposed to follow the freakout of momzilla in eps 33?
Yeah like that.
To me it feels as though the premature timejump demanded by the new production firm suits completely broke his neck as he had a vision and plan before but now was forced to throw away everything reasonable and good he'd mapped out. From there on out writer turd struggled to pick up the pieces caused by the premature timejump and all its stupid irreversible writing directions taken, reusing bits of his old script no longer suitable in its entirely to scramble together something, anything.
He basically turned into a headless chicken. and this is the worst case for a story/writer. It is baaaaad in fic writing when you notice the author has lost the plot halfway thru and does not KNOW where to go from there, but it is FATAL in professional writing where you are responsible for a full tv show and under extreme time pressure to deliver. So yeah, this of course exacerbated the structural problems the story had before with giving equal development/screentime to characters tenfold, plus it was now a year later in the story but nothing had actually changed. 365 days of stasis, just with 200% more babies around. So he just continued as before (noticeable with airhead couple) hoping no one would notice. Since a lot of old plot points were now moot, he just created drama out of thin air to fill screentime, nothing makes sense anymore anyway with all plans to be had gone, so whatever might as well. Here and there we saw then bits of old script and good writing moments (eps 40/41) but mainly he ran in circles screaming not knowing fuckall what to do with a story and characters he had no idea how to pick up the pieces of. The plot and pacing was completely lost in a mountain of conflicts thrown into the script to fill in the screentime in a mad dash to scramble something together, while having written himself into the biggest corner in existence. I feel the only lifeline he had in the utter incoherence created now, was parts of his old plans and script. So taking a hammer for the puzzle piece approach, he made them "fit" in here, no matter what. That is very likely how we got the kim junha show we now have the misfortune to witness. Needless to say that he completely miscalculated the pacing of the new random af storyarcs, so the result is now to just make it end in whatever way possible. Which explains the misery wankfest over several eps going nowhere. Less work left to do and also less eps to go, lol.
Let’s cross fingers it is better than the two previous weekend dramas. I did finish three bold siblings but…
You escaped at the best time from TRHC, tbh bc after good 20-30 eps the second half has been hot garbage. I am still in disbelief at how abysmally bad it has gotten thanks to one inept dumbass writer and his twisted love for the villains.
I’m still so pissed at how they made Yeondoo's career seem so insignificant. She worked so hard to get there, and yet for over 40 eps there was nothing. Such a huge nothing that YD nearly stopped existing as an own entity, melting with the wall behind her as her husband did everything in her stead... even talking FOR her.
And while they mentioned it in the penultimate eps, with her getting a work offer out of the blue, it feels like an afterthought, like the dumbass writer checking off a list of things to include before the ending tomorrow. It is an insulting "see i remembered" gotcha toward the viewers, instead anything resembling coherent thought about her character. This one is my biggest what could have been of all, with the show actually showcasing her working her way up to the top again and the difficulties to combine that with parenting. We could have had some very nice internal conflicts here that would have served to bring TK and YD closer together after they are weathered, but noooope. Junha has come and did nothing wrong rotten fruit bloodline bullshit and howler monkey hysteria it was instead. Ich kotz im Strahl/watch me projectile vomiting.

Yeaaaah it is not worth it, believe me. If you are itching to watch a family drama tho, lemme know i can throw some recs for older ones your way. Right now i am watching homemade love story and while the birth secret main plot waffling can be annoying, the main couple is lovely with excellent natural chemistry/skinship, good open communication, and cute as hell in general. The other lovelines are good too.

Okay more than one word but it sums up my TRHC spirit animal best 😂
