Oh for sure. While i don't think there will be much regret (maybe a little) it will definitely be a shock to her system that the woman being the "real deal" for SH is Bora hahaha. I honestly want her to get *some* comeuppance in the same way bora's ex got in the restaurant, bc i actually don't believe her radio story of epic victim proportions one bit. Way too one-sided.

I love that development of her family taking matters and money earning into their own hands with the new restaurant, because i was greatly annoyed by them treating YD like their precious mealticket they did not want to lose in her being pregnant during the starting episodes. They indeed made progress and stepped up while screechy asylum fam is so caught up in greed they are the same or rather worse almost 15 eps in. YD's fam is also increasingly juxtaposed to be the sane, wholesome family compared to the toxic mess of gong fam/jang fam. And while i still hate the treatment of FL by them in the beginning, they indeed care for each other/others a lot more than the two other fams, and even have become a major safe haven for TK already. With them he experiences things he never had with his own dysfunctional family, like love, acceptance, warmth, belonging etc and i am all 🥹🥹🥹 about it.

Jang Ho never did fit in his family to begin with (way too levelheaded and nice) and will find a new , better home in YD's fam just like Taekyung did. (which i believe is also a major reason why TK is drawn to YD beyond their "contract" - her family accepting and treating him as a part of them which he loves a lot and kinda plants the seed inside of him wishing for the son in law lie to be(come) actual truth. Cue him being upset and sad when YD mentions the three months deadline heh)

Also agree that the banshee mother is to blame for their loss of wealth, we have seen how irresponsible and unhinged she is in general. Not just irresponsible, but full on adult toddler in fact with zero impulse control. But hey like mother like daughter tbh (and the other way around) so no surprise here, lmao.

Ikr? Honestly I watch The Real Has Come which is a family drama and actual makjang and i find it more logical than this story lmao. I was willing to stick around for ML/FL at first despite that off the wall premise, but then he went and is shown to shove the car with a young woman and her baby in it into the river. With the possibility of him *maybe* having not done that after all is left for after he recovers and maybe maybe remembers NOT being a murderer at least. Yay. Are you rooting for ML and his long oh so wholesome process of healing yet? 🙃🙃🙃

And no acting no matter how stellar will keep me around watching for a chance to maybe find that out in episode 13 or so lmao. Especially since there are too many asshole characters or ones I just care zero % about front and center to the show (minus FL and her twins) Yeah no, my kdrama schedule is really too packed with other airing shows for that.

Yeah maybe. It would have helped greatly to immediately clarify this in a scene like with the phone than to leave the question whether or not he murdered two innocent people a mystery. Would also have helped to not destroy any sympathy I had for ML and have been unable to recover ever since that. But oh well the show did not do that. So I'm done with this nonsense of a story no matter how good the acting is. Especially since I have even less sympathy for the mother and I find all the other characters minus the FL and the twins annoying af instead of quirky/lovable. (wtf is the deal of that mask woman? So fekkin weird)

Yeah tbh, a lot of people take this delulu broad and her importance in the drama waaaaay too seriously. Cruella is not the scheming IQ 200 mastermind people here (mis)take her for, really. She is MUCH more like a toddler acting out because it was sent to nappy time without its favorite toy. Cue her series of unhinged tantrums. Same energy, same vibe. 😂

Best part is tho that everything she will do, all her schemes, will shapeshift into matchmaking for the leads. It will be a self-own of epic proportions and the biggest uno reverse card. Hope TK/YD remember to send her a thank you card with their wedding pic on it later on, for doing her part in them finding together 🤣

Yep, true. Unlike everyone else in this screechy asylum of a family, Jang Ho does have a conscious. And we all saw him reaching his breaking point with Goldi Golddigger in that resounding slap. So i expect him to actually and FINALLY shed his passivity and act/step up in order to mitigate the damage his snake daughter plans to cause. And because he will clearly be part of the Oh/Gong family later on, unlike Cruella (oh the irony 🤣)

Ngl, the thought of Delulu Witch losing the husband that never was or will be (aka Taekyung) and Bong Nim's boyfriend to be (aka her father Jang Ho) to both YD and her family amuses me greatly😂

It is so obvious that the twins are ML's kids that the narrative attempting to treat it as the big secret of FL is even insulting ngl, lmao. Tbh, the drama has had glimpses of good for me whenever ML was together with the twins in a scene, and the acting is really good from him/the mother actress. But alas, it all emotionally touched me as much as a cold dead fish. Since, well, i was (not-so) secretly rooting for ML to actually die in the car crash after that mother/baby drowning scene tbh, whoops 🤭🙃

My favorite airing dramas atm are Bora Deborah, Dr. Cha, Joseon Attorney: A Morality, My Perfect Stranger and The Real Has Come. (The last one is a family drama, but i am ride or die for the ML/FL and their happiness by now. so 50 eps of screechy/annoying maklang side characters/soap-y clichés/nonsense, it is 😂 Surprisingly addicting to watch, tho)

I do watch a few more on the side, but those five shows are my immediate go to whenever new episodes drop. Hence failing to connect with this drama here is a pity but not actually a loss, since it gives me some breathing room in a very packed airing schedule atm hehe.

True. Maybe, maaaaybe it is the usual kdrama copout, because it would be reeeeeally hard for the front and center main character to come back from cold-blooded murder. At least if you want viewers to root for his success instead of a slow, painful death.

For me however, that scene killed any sympathy i initially had for ML for being such a giant asshole due to the abuse suffered by his equally asshole mother growing up. And my enthusiasm for the drama in general. I am aware that there is development inbound to make them less asshole-y and reset their relationship etc etc etc, but it does not undo the shitty things ML has done before that. FL is the only likable character for me in this drama after 4 eps, too. i don't/didn't care for, nor connected to the other characters at all.

Hence i am dropping and moving on. Too many other dramas are airing atm that i can watch instead, tbh. Thanks for your reply anyhow :)

Both mother and son are unsympathetic assholes in equal amounts ,so i dunno if i can endure more of this drama and long enough to see them not being that tbh. And as said, "cool motive, still murder."

I wish i knew, as it hasn't happened yet, lol. I think it will happen around the halfway mark (episode 25) or so. Hence ten more episodes to go.... or maybe a little earlier or later. Who really knows with its typical family drama slow pace tbh, lol. It is noticeable tho how they are currently growing more and more attached to each other (Yeondoo with her jealousy toward Sea Witch and relying more on him (food cravings), and Taekyung with fussing over her moods (oh no she is angry, what did i do wrong?/how to fix it?) and wellbeing (shows a strong sense of protectiveness/care for her that he isn't even fully aware of yet) and enjoys her company in general. So we could arrive there sooner than that, with TK veeeeeery likely to be first in "Oh no, this can't be happening" feelings caught-land and promptly making a sharp u-turn to swim in the river of denial🤭🤭🤭

Hence them realizing their feelings does long not mean they will jump into bed...err a relationship with each other. I actually expect them to awkwardly tiptoe around each other for quite a while then, because it being REAL (pun intended) between them all the sudden will be very intimidating.

If you mean living together as a fake couple however, it starts with episode ten ;)

I don't see this happening. After all he is married and devoted to his S1 wife back home. To the point where he signed the contract only with the condition of working as God/immortal just to the day of her death. Since he wants to die along with her.

So yeah, ML/FL gonna be chaotic frenemies/friends at best heh.

I think he will return in the second half of the show to cause trouble for the leads.
