Just watched ep 13 and THEY DID FUCKING NOT JUST TURN THE BEST CHARACTER INTO A VILLAIN, they better not or I’m…
Episode 14 gives you more clarity on it, do watch ;) The answer is as it should be, somewhere in between. It is good intentions that got twisted along the way. HA is not mustache twirling comical evil but someone who really had a harsh, f-ed up upbringing, clawed his way out of it and clung at the prospect for a better life thru his job, no matter the cost or what he needed to do to keep it. The irony is that he did everything to be different than his father but with what he did at the end of episode 14, he has become like him, welp. Kinda a miserable person who clung to what little he had but disregarded others/their lives along the way for it. Cool motive, still murder, basically.

And I cannot see how his arc does not end in tragedy tbh, and the preview to next week implies something like that. We will see.

Also pls use a spoiler tag :D

iiiiit really is a hard shift, especially when taking events of today's eps in account/its ending. Holy hell.…
okay, after some consideration i like it now. Was not absolutely needed for the story but eh, it fits after all.

I was right except for the part where I thought he actually killed the boy to keep him quiet, but he didn't...he…
Also Taehee sits down with Madame Clingy and gives her a final talk/the closure so many are screaming for here, it seems. Bc in the preview I mistook Chungha for Dongjoo at first, and had a slight heart attack bc cafe scenes with couples in a kdrama trigger my "break up" anxiety. Lol, it is all good tho. TH hopefully pampers the hell out of DJ next week. It is what she deserves and long overdue.

That was the most unnecessary plot twist.
i agree that it was not needed, but it is still well implemented. Aka, good intentions that got twisted along the way. It is not mustache twirling comical evil but someone who really had a harsh, f-ed up upbringing clawed their way out of it and clung at the prospect for a better life, no matter the cost or what they needed to do to keep it. Tragic but as B99's Jake Peralta would say:

Saw this just recently as well 🀑 🀑 🀑 hahaha, oh well. So-ra got her coffee with team leader cutie tho, so it all worked out for her 😏 (her enthusiastic reaction to it lmao, no matter how briefly she is on screen she always cracks me up)

DJ has a shit survival instinct/self- preservation skills tho, like i know it is for the plot (tm) but how could you talk with HA in the dark yard who is obviously drunk and invading your personal space aggressively demanding answers, forcing you into a corner and STAY still? Like gurl do anything, scream, run away, hit him, ANYTHING that does not entail casual small talk, jesus christ.

On a bright side, Vincent blurted out to DJ's dad that she is dating Taehee and appa baek was like;https://tenor.com/view/happy-the-rock-dwaynejohnson-smile-gif-3561328
What i also love is due to DJ being so finely tuned toward people's behavior, reactions etc with her high emotional intelligence/ability to read the room/people is, her *immediately* picking up when something or rather someone is off. (Both leads have this ability and are really quite perceptive/smart in general, btw.)

The way she snapped to attention when HA said "he is not worth your tears" Oooof. She knooooows now. And the way she is piecing it together on her own is really refreshing to see. We stan a smart FL, heh.

And not both of them going "this kimchi jim tastes different you didn't make it vincent." They should really just open up a private detective agency together at this point, lmao

The people who said that HA was driving have been correct. He was at the wheel and argued with his brother when…
Yeah from what i understood his want for a better life and future for himself he worked so hard for only to have that night endangering everything, put him onto a really wrong path. Within time that desire turned into an obsession where he stops at nothing to keep the life/job he had from his pov "earned" after such a harsh upbringing. It would explain why he goes so hard against even minor offender (the underage bullies, the dui incident where he chased the culprit for hours) as he sees himself as righteous cop who has to excel at his job. Because this is all he has and he CANNOT lose it. Thus he must silence everyone who endangers that "status" First his brother with the no life extending measurements doc he only signed "last time"the deletion of proof/vid footage and "silencing" Dongjoo so she cannot tell on him thru.... strangulation/murder. Welp. Kinda shows how good intentions can get darkly twisted along the way. We know she will live bc hey FL and they hardly will kill her off with open story threads still remaining. Would undo everything as well and make no sense.

It better be Taehee saving her or he will go down another, newly minted blaming himself cycle for not being there earlier for not stopping AH when he could, when he knew better he was being off/sus, welp. I hope we are going to see him picking up grief counseling/ general therapy sessions even mentioned as off-hand remark in the end,as while DJ is integral on his path of healing she cannot be his quasi therapist lol. Also i want tables turned and him pampering DJ for the last two episodes. (especially after that traumatic ... well, almost being murdered experience, welp, they should go to therapy together tbh.) She holds so much back atm and compartmentalizes everything on her own instead of sharing it with TH bc she thinks he has already enough on his plate 😭 I also want more of DJ in general her arc was pretty shorthanded in favor of TH's lately which is due to it being the main plot/conflict yeah but also tell me about her abilities what she is going to do after that is over (studying, Dime a job, staying as funeral director? what about the lying to her dad? Pls gimme more DJ in general. And more cute lead scenes as there was not much that wasn't srs bsns since eps 11.

That was so cuuuuuute. And his "yeeeah, i can get used to that" reaction to the news of Dongjoo dating Taehee perfection. He gets his dream son in law, haha. Please keep him saaaafe and sound and away from being DJ's client. I am scuuuuured. 😭

We moved from Roamnce-healing drama to psycho thriller drama real quick, it’s too much to process 🀧
iiiiit really is a hard shift, especially when taking events of today's eps in account/its ending. Holy hell.

Not sure what i should think of it, especially as someone who loved the drama to pieces as it was before that.... about grief/healing from trauma, forgiveness and giving hope to the people left behind by the deceased and not well.... this lmao.

Welp there you have the full flashback as it actually happened:

https://twitter.com/ddu_kyungsoo/status/1603387305930391555

Aaaand it kinda went off the rails after that because i also have seen the ending. Lmao, why is this all happening/was committing to the thriller element so hard really necessary? Would have understood it kinda (it is still fucked up) if he covered it up bc he made a fatal mistake that would cost him his new career and he panicked.... but they really make HA full psycho, inclusive strangling Dongjoo in an attempt to kill/silence her.

okay, i caught a vital spoiler for eps 14 thanks to twitter:
The people who said that HA was driving have been correct. He was at the wheel and argued with his brother when he hit Junho, TH's brother, with the truck. So he probably covered it up and put it on his comatose brother to not endanger his new career. I don't think HA is moustache twirling evil, but no matter what this is fucked up. I wonder if he knew who Taehee and Vincent were when getting close to them.

Hae An was the one driving and his brother was the passenger. Tae Hee's brother ran into the street and Hae An…
Yeah i hope for a more nuanced take too instead of harharhar ima evil.

I'm sorry lol that sucks but tis the unfortunate byproduct by going into a comment section of an currently airing…
i am so far behind by now i probably just watch it slowly whenever instead of trying to catch up, lol. I don't rush to watch RR probably because it is not the usual drama i would seek out to watch but i loved ML in Vincenzo and the premise of starting over while ruining those who killed him, heh.

Yes, i am anxious too about todays episode and hope they solve it today instead to take up time from the final week where DJ should be more in the focus as it was all about TH lately, if understandably so. Also since eps 12 the drama has been so heavy i really hope for some lightness and fluff after all this angst. But I am scared for dad baek tho, everything about him sounds so dead-flaggy and like missed opportunities (w/ DJ not visiting him despite him asking for it a second time now and TH promising him to have a drink with him "before fall is over") And since the last client of hers will probably another writing punch served because it is the final one, i certainly not hope yet fear it to be her dad. This is what my writing instinct tells me, that writer nim wants to go out of the supernatural part of it with a bang, but i am GLAD if i am wrong in this case. They have suffered enough now after all, let them be happy instead :(

Lmao at some people here taking this drama under such a critical lense as though it is trying to be a serious in depth sageuks/historical masterpiece instead of being the unpretentious little silly fun drama it KNOWS it is.
