10 years? She turned pathetic just because they dated for 10 years? LOL.I and my ex-gf dated for 15 years, and…
Honestly, i was sympathetic to her sad girl shtick until Taehee told her in both words and body language, no, repeatedly and unmistakable to her wish to get back together and yet she kept IGNORING it and *continued* to pressure him. I have little patience nor empathy for people, fictional or not, who disregard another person's words, agency and wishes in the matter just because they make their own feelings and only their own the top priority.

I already said this before but imagine if this dynamic were genderflipped and a guy was doing that to a woman.... aka invading the working place (her lunch order of dime a job), the home and personal space of the ex partner, people would riot instead to say that he should entertain her selfish, boundaries breaking/ignoring demands because hey they dated for ten years and the least he can do is smile at her, or something. WHAT? He does not owe her anything after years of separation. Her hurt is her own to deal with at this point, because they did not break up two weeks or months ago, but YEARS.

I think that many people dropped Love All Play, I included. But I also don´t think that her acting was the reason.…
Yeah, the writing and character progression was, to say it frankly, shit in this drama (LoP). Too many makjang-ish fillers to reach the episode 16 mark and she wasn't allowed to do anything but cry and lament for the latter half. The script did its awesome lead actors dirty tbh. I enjoy seeing them in their respective new shows atm (ML of it is to see in Unlock My Boss atm)

the second lead is so boring to me sorry guys..
Yeeeah. The main problem he has is... he is not Heon xD I mean the one side you have a dorky, cute king with a warm heart that is slowly starting to move on from his grief for his dead wife because he matches Sorang's chaotic energy with his own while also being bewildered by (and by now fond of) all chaos she wrecks. Sorang is shaking up his life of standstill and pulling him from the past into the present, to live again. It is such a lively and yet heartfelt dynamic that is adorable and caring on top of it with more than a hint of angst and a lot of "does he see the real me or am i just a shadow of his lost love" inner conflict already brewing. Also despite him being king, she is the one "holding the power"between them both, because she has had wrapped him around all her ten fingers in record time 😏

And on the other the gallant, caring/protective strong knight type who, well, missed his chance and that is sad boohoo, but it is the past and full of never will be agains and does not do much character/dynamic-wise. Except it being nice and standard at best because he is like a sad puppy looking wistfully at her either from a distance or close-up, and kissing her when she is unconscious. Which is.... yeah. I do like the dynamic of the trio outside of romance but as a standalone character he is mr. drywall while Lee Heon is lively and odd/quirky in the best way.

But hey that is just me xD

Sad backstory is sad. Finally a likable SML and he is totally knowing who she really is. Their scenes are adorable…

Title The Forbidden Marriage Spoiler
Episode 3 thoughts under spoiler. Gosh this drama is so much fun 😂
Sad backstory is sad. Finally a likable SML and he is totally knowing who she really is. Their scenes are adorable and she already easily gets him to do anything she wants lmao, but i am team royal, sorry not sorry.

The crown princess was definitely vegan, lmao.

The king is SUCH a dork. And aww he is missing Sorang.

the way she ran toward lee heon and the chain of events that followed, i am wheezing 😂 😂 😂 Peak comedy. And not Shin Won forgetting about the king in favor of his almost wife 🤣

the way she is wrapping lee heon around her finger. Daaamn, give Sorang two more episodes at best and she is running this country lmao, Aaaand he is getting hot and bothered by her hehehehe. I cackled when he took the towel away from her as she was trailing down with it to the front of his pants, and *very* close to finding out that he is NOT impotent 😏🤣 He needs another dive into the pond after THAT, hahahaha

A KISS? This early? Oh no he broke Sorang, no oh wait, she was asleep with eyes wide open 😂(or did she fake it?) Welp the king is dooooown and i would say one man to go, but SW is already down for her so yeah. (Both should learn not to kiss unconscious people, tho heon didn't know she was asleep at least)

Correction: SHE IS ALREADY RUNNING THIS PALACE lmao Kingie is feeling IT, hell yeah. The sceene where he tries to convince himself that he totally has no feelings at all for her reminds me of the one he did in Sh**ting Stars. KYD does great and funny monologues tbh.

- A shout out to KYD's crazy eye acting. Always such a hoot.

Sorang DEFINITELY is NOT vegan hahahaah She lives the animals are food motto, omg. I just LOVE the contrast between SR and CP here. Sorang would love Hyeri's "gogi" song in My Roommate is a Gumiho, tbh xD

Those hunting scenes. Sorang is pure chaos. I love her so much.

And the stupid side kicks used as pawn by evil ministers have arrived. Sure releasing a bad computer animated wild hog will end the marriage ban. I bet it will end up on the meat party at the end tho. How nice of the evil minister to provide them enough meat, Sorang will be excited, lmao

Hah, i kneeeew it. Happy feast. "She will take care of that herself. She is not a normal girl." "Oh right." hahaha, indeed. Annoying side-kick characters are here to stay i see, tho.

Wow thought at that "we need a crown princess w/o such a low life expectancy" partystopper heads would roll, but Heon smiled it away and gave the guy a drink? This guy is falling haaaaard for SR rn and it shows in his *very* heightened mood. Had not expected it to happen THIS soon tho, but hey i am not complaining 😂

The way he shakes her and says "are you possessed again?"and is distressed about it. Wow, he does not want her to be the CP? What is happening... he is going at breakneck speed to love town haha

-- Gosh Heon will be best husband for SR. The way he worries about her being sick and refuses to let her being taken away because he wants to care for her, ooooooh my heart.

Not Heon and SW both ready to kill the doctor for daring to touch SR for his examination 🤣

"I'll take care of her. Get out." Oooof this will put a dent into their friendship. Heon definitely sees him as rival for SR's love now. Aaaand we are getting a SML is realizing he is SML moment. Ah classic 😂

It is just episode 3 and it is already official: Kingie Hunny is so so so so whipped for her, woooooah. "Are you going to kiss me again?" OH GOD SHE REMEMBERS AND I AM SCREAMING HERE!

"Why did you kiss me?" "I was half asleep." "So if i am half asleep it is okay to kiss?" I AM SCREAMING at her pulling him in for a second kiss, Jesus fast romance Christ, this is definitely no slow burn, whooooah. Aaaand another SML notices he is SML moment. We are so filling this quota in this episode, hahahaaha.

Oh i see. The "who is he seeing me as/shadow of the CP" will definitely be a main conflict between them. And i love to see it. Wow, this was so much fun and i am happy this drama will be there to fill the void in my heart when May I Help You ends next week.

FL has acted in one more drama as lead, Love all play. You can watch her there, If not yet watched. That drama…
beware however that it gets quite somber/overly dramatic in the second half and FL cries a loooooot lmao

That guy seriously just manipulated his own brother and now about to kill dong jo. Tae hee should run fast now…
Well the preview shows that AH probably lets go before he kills her and runs away, because she alone gasping for air in the yard with vincent rushing down the stairs to help her. Maybe Vincent opened his apartment door in the right moment and AH had to let go to not be caught. Also he is gonna be chased by Taehee either then or later on. TH would have been not arrived in time either way, tho probably will run into his uncle/DJ and see her being hurt/nearly killed. Jesus.

Fuck, can you imagine if DJ didn't have that FL plot armor and AH followed through? Since he was on his way back home, it would have been TH finding her and aaaaaaah this would have been so so so dark in all aspects. And it would break him for real. Yikes.

Thankfully this is just my writers brain wallowing in the darkest outcome and what it would do to the characters, not what actually will happen next week. So, time for happy thoughts now. Puppies. Rainbows. Candies. Dongjoo/Taehee wedding. Kitten. ;)

or when he was rejected and threatened to kill the one that DJ likes (he didn’t know that was TH yet). I thought…
Yeah, we all thought he was joking but seeing how episode 14 ended I guess he could have followed through with that if it had been anyone else than Taehee (who is part of his life he wanted to keep)

I think by now that HA genuinely didn't know that the kid he killed in the hit and run was TH's brother, hence his complete shock to that discovery is not faked. So he did not approach them due to that, and as he said planned to stay only a brief time but stayed longer since he found a quasi family and support system (he tells them so several times) and felt at home for the first time/never had before.

But what is despicable is how he kept up the facade and did everything to keep the lie intact and them from knowing the truth about it *after* he knew. From his pov, it wasn't just the job he was protecting but also the support system he had found in Vincent and Taehee he didn't want to lose. Like if it weren't for DJ he would have gotten away with it pinning it on his dead brother and would have continue to live, talk, laugh and eat at one table with the two men whose young family member he killed/left for dead. A loss which devastated TH and his family for years and will always be felt (in whatever more dull notes in time)

Maaan this is so daaaamn twisted.

for me Sora has been a source of joy among all the pain, trauma I've seen in this show.
Yes. The actress is awesome btw, naturally funny. I hope she gets her own comedy drama leading role down the line.

Wow! I didn’t think this drama can get any darker! 😳 I miss the romance a little bit wth
Heh, yeah but we have reached the plot climax now so things will settle and calm down now, with resolutions/rewards/punishment for all characters/situations involved. Hence we most likely get more light DJ/TH moments next week (meeting their respective families maybe? DJ's dad is already sooooo ready for it after all xD And TH's fam lives in the countryside, so that would be great for a brief getaway from everything but we will see heh)

Plus two last clients of course, but i don't think those will be too heavy anymore. More like, as someone already said here, it is gonna be supportive to forge the bond of our leads to an even stronger one. (Maaawwwaiiige??? xD)

I can now see how this would end. Last 2 episodes left.
And two clients who we don't know who's gonna be. When AH dies, which i pretty much expect by now, he don't get a last wish due to being a murderous dickbag and i also doubt that DJ would want to do anything for him after eps 14, lmao. Hopefully DJ's dad is safe, i am still a bit afraaaaid. It tickles my writer brain that i have absolutely no idea who these last two people will be which speaks for the show's good pacing as it keeps things interesting till the end.

On the lighter side, I am looking forward to Taehee officially being introduced and invited to the baek family home. Dad is already picking the curtains for their wedding, after all 🤣 First however i want TH to spoil DJ rotten after all what happened and how much she had done for him lately. It is what she deserves. We also get a final talk between Taehee and Chungha according to preview. So all the people here can stop complaining now about how TH is the devil's spawn, lol. Like i totally understand that he can do it now, with having dealt with his own guilt and having answers to the open questions about his brother's death, however painful, He is in a (much) better place now with a stable, loving/supportive relationship and partner than he was two months ago when Madame Clingy forced her way into his home and undid his first tentative steps in recovery in re-triggering him. So good on him to tackle that convo for closure, at last. It speaks for his progress in healing that he can face her now. I really hope the last two episodes to focus on dongjoo and the origin of her abilities among other things the drama left unexplored regarding her tho. And fluff. A lot of fluff., yes. (hah, as if)

Oh and for TH returning to work in the medical field again, i could only see it yrs down the line and then in a clinic without dead and life matters. Or maybe he sticks to the dime a job lifestyle bc much more free time heh. We will see.

I don´t feel like the story changed it´s way like some of you say.
yeah, same here. i was apprehensive at first about its tonal shift, but in between there is still humor and warmth and cute character moments (DJ's dad with Vincent, Sora and her coffee date, their kimchi dinner which vincent totally did (not) cook and DJ's dad talking about/praising TH as ideal bf for DJ (heh) ) in between the heavier/darker stuff.... Also that character's motivations to act as they do is well laid out. Still fucked up of course, but it is no cartoony evil for shit and giggles/shockvalue. Rather very flawed human thinking/desires in a twisted way.

Outside the heavy plot stuff, I sense an official visit of dad baek's home is incoming next week, either both of them or Taehee getting invited and i am ready for it. I love the both together, it is always super adorable. (Not him calling TH son in law already lmao)

As i see it, episode 9 would have been the perfect ending for the drama when all her lies and cowardice finally…
Oh hey, sorry i forgot to reply, but if you read my comments above this tells you everything you (might) wanna know. I did not like the drama much, mainly due to FL who is such an asshole and JCW's character very kind but too much of a doormat. His acting is however stellar as always.

haha, saaame here. I always root for FL bc they are seen so hypercritical in fandom by default. This FL however, i could never like even with all (flimsy) reasoning for her behavior that they gave me afterwards. Nope, never have rooted more for ML to take himself to go far away without her, but yeeeah did not happen. Rare that i root for a couple to break up and stay apart instead to work out their issues, yet here gosh i did so. She is such an asshole, and not even of the interesting kind at least, sorry not sorry.

As said before, the only thing i loved about this drama is the cafe scene due to its fantastic acting and the confrontation between the leads where JCW tells her to fuck off. But sadly this does not last lmao

What happened to the cute show with the awkward romance and the comic supporting cast? I liked that show. I really,…
It also features a husband who cheated on his wife while she fought/lost to cancer, a white truck of doom meeting a taxi at full speed, a robbery that killed a young highly pregnant woman and her baby, attempted suicide, the loss of a parent during birth, growing up and living with the guilt of it, a ML who had buried his trauma/grief but it haunts him still, the loss of a child in a tragic incident, having to say goodbye to elderly loved ones, and that is just in the first six episodes, heh.

Point is... it was never your typical fluffy romcom but a story where the dark is interspersed by light and the other way around, hopeful and warm but heavily focused on trauma/grief, its multifaceted devastating effect on people, families and how, if ever to move on/past it. It has veered off now into darker territory since 2-3 episodes but the worst is over now and light incoming again in its final episodes :D

Episode 14 gives you more clarity on it, do watch ;) The answer is as it should be, somewhere in between. It is…
heh, the rule of thumb i always apply to use spoiler tag or not is if i give away vital plot/character information to anyone taking a glance into this comment section as a common courtesy. Bc i would haaaaate it as well if i would get spoiled about that plot twist/char info when i just wanna know more about a kdrama or if it is good, before watching it. So in this case you are good or rather decide for yourself if you spoiler tag it . But the first comment is quite, um revealing even without names, so i meant that, yeah
