Title May I Help You Spoiler
Hae An was the one driving and his brother was the passenger. Tae Hee's brother ran into the street and Hae An…
That is not how a relieved smile looks, it really was creepy in nature instead. Plus Dongjoos dialogue ends with the question of who killed the kid? And we are shown HA in the next scene where it lingered on him as the sole person which imo is a strong implication of him being the culprit.

His brother also probably covers for him, bc he is already dead why make trouble for his living brother when he can just take it all to his grave instead? And tbh if he really was the one driving then DJ would have been unable to wake him up, bc it was no mere accident, it was drunk driving and caused the death of TH's brother. So yeah.... but we will see soon enough what is the truth I hope.

Also pls use a spoiler tag here, thanks :)

Well this can be filed under "wrong decisions made" as everyone does in life. Kinda relatable but still a pity for the actor.

For me, May I Help You and From Now On Showtime. You can keep your other popular and/or overhyped nonsense (Alchemy Of Souls, in particular)

I'm sorry lol that sucks but tis the unfortunate byproduct by going into a comment section of an currently airing drama without being caught up to date I guess. I avoid it whenever possible which is why I have not seen the reborn rich comment section in weeks lol.

At least you can now pick up clues along the way as there are quite a few sussy ones if you look closer 😉

I rather think he was the one driving by now bc every bit of flashback we see is from Hae An's perspective so he could have easily fooled us all with being an unreliable narrator of it and show us viewers only what we are supposed to see.

Actually this would greatly add to the plot twist yesterday narratively tbh.

I like Jun acting. This is cool.
It's my first drama with him (have watched L&L (great movie) and pls don't date him (meh) by now too) and he definitely impressed me here with his acting/range. Taehee is definitely not an easy character to tackle as broadly written and flawed/human he is but Jun is really living that role. He also got an award as best actor at the Asian Actors Awards (dunno if for this role) days ago so we definitely gonna hear more of this young talented guy in the future. Happy he broke ou and away from idol actor roles w/ playing Taehee, if his filmography is any indication heh

.. this probably means he approached them purposely.. psycho
and it did not seem this way at all with his reaction to finding the pics etc, but now i can believe it. Welp another reason to rewatch and being 👀at all of his scenes that are never the same ever again (and find hints maybe idk)

i called it tho, whenever you see that actor playing a young cop, you know he's probably a villain lmao
I will take note for the future as he fooled me, but seeing how kdrama loves to make their unassuming nice guys evil i reeeeally should know better.

And yeah i hope we can power through its mystery tomorrow in full instead to drag it to final week. I want more to know more about DJ and her abilities, and Donghee fluff there, they so deserve a loooong breather (and timejump marriage heh) I am really afraid for her dad atm, seeing how the writers pulls gleefully cackling all kind of heavy plot elements with the clients atm (last week murder suicide this week an infant died and now the whole psychopath in plain sight thing. So killing off the rest of DJ fam is sadly not out of the question any longer aaaaaaaah be safe appa, pls.

So I rewatched it with subs now, a few pointers:
Okay maybe more than a "few" lol

At the confrontation you can literally watch how Taehee closes off emotionally more and more with every moment, which is an immediate "I cannot deal with this now, this is too much" response to the crisis that befalls him in that very moment. He still listens till the end, well almost until the sight/words of AH and he has to get him out of the situation. We see him wander thru the streets in zombiefied state too overwhelmed by what just happened. Both very realistic emotional crisis responses related to his trauma/grief, imo. However what changed is the redirection of guilt in it all, so to speak.

With having the ring back and taken steps back toward his family, and facing them instead of running away as he called it (ah avoidance my old friend), and several emotional conversations (so important) TH was able to process and set free most of his own guilt in the incident, at long last. The what if's will keep him company for a long time still i bet but at this point it is all about AH's brother only and AH part in it. The guilt of others not his own (which is healthy progress), the ones who actually killed his brother.

Still, of course he drinks to numb//to forget which is a kdrama staple reaction to bad situations, tho here i think an understandable reaction. And for a korean drama MIHY's usage of alcohol (aka getting drunk af) is very mild and sporadic, which i like. At first i really thought TH would go AWOL bc this has been his first and foremost trauma response, but the TH we meet at the start/middle and the TH we see now are not the same anymore. When DJ calls him, instead to not answer the phone/ignore her etc he calls right back and tells her where he is. Instead of running further, he now stops to ask for support when he needs it. Yay, progress.

It is a sad and cute scene alike when he sees her and goes drunkenly "Ah, Dongjoo, i missed you." And lol at her dry "We see each other every day" (aww) "Yes, but today i missed you a little bit more today" and it ends up in him confining in her, seeking much needed solace in her, instead of shutting down. She is such an elemental part on his path of healing because they are there for each other in hard times, ask for and give support to each other equally (tho atm he needs her support more, which is okay bc w/ them it will balance out again) no exceptions. We love to see it.

DJ is still bearing guilt for not being able to save the girl begging her to do so. Aww my poor bby. Both of them. "I don't know why good things end so quickly." I am really worried about the safety for DJ's dad by now, ngl. He gives off too many dead flags lately 😬

The infant/toddler death was brutal. Very raw. I love how MIHY spares no punches in showing how it is with grief and what it does to you. The dad attacking im So, harsh and unfair but he is not in his right mind in this situation. Their dialogue, outside afterwards. I cried. “When I tie the knot it is the end for the deceased. But for the people left behind the suffering only begins. This is so so so true. Damn. Feels like an end to the teamleader’s arc as well bc at the end the dad did take his hand to thank him for his service, despite everything. The writer really likes to link early child deaths lately bc we are ballsdeep into the Junho/Joonho case, welp.

Oh what is that? The video footage of the incident has gone missing/deleted… after we saw HA secretly looking at it? SUUUUUUSSSSS. Don’t think it was a mere server accident unless it involved a cup of coffee in HA’s hand meeting said server to fry it.

Hae An's story he told TH is bullshit, because it is very different from the one we saw (which probably is also a lie because we can no longer trust ANYTHING HA says) and we see him lie later on again when TH asks if JH said anything to him. All the while TH is in the process of forgiving him and letting him move back in. Yikes. I know some see TH as devil spawn for some reason but to me TH is a very emphatic, emotionally intelligent person that is/was "just" debilitated by grief/trauma for years. With him progressing and processing his grief slowly we see more and more of what is his old very caring self, particularly around DJ of course. Someone who faces his problems instead of avoiding and comes to a conclusion after reflecting on the situation and his feelings/behavior in it. We love to see it.

The way Dongjoo validates Taehee’s feelings and finds the right words each time, even tells him he has a right to feel angry and upset with HA and does not need to suppress that just because he thinks it is too negative and too harsh on HA. And not what he is supposed to do/feel. I am weak. I wanna date her too, ngl. “How was I able to meet someone like you?” haha, I wish she had replied “in breaking up with me.” here. Wow, what a way to meet your (future) wife, indeed. I love their comfortableness with each other even when the topics are serious and they never forget to cheer each other up with easy banter in between. It feels like they are dating for years already not like for six weeks or so (while knowing each other for 5 months now) Him saying “When I am talking with you, I feel I can breathe.” I AM WEAK. So very significant coming from someone dealing with all the heavy emotional issues, someone in the midst of recovery. They are so married, bless.

Ofc HA’s brother would code and die and ofc HA has slipped in a “do not resuscitate” document as the guardian in the meanwhile. SUUUUUUSSSSSS. Can’t have him snitching, of course. You know the elephant in the room is of course HA having fooled as all with unreliable narration and the people around him with an act. But he didn’t factor in DJ as variable here in his cleaning up after him act as much as DJ didn’t factor in her ability to work on SY and I love how the writers have her be as surprised/shocked as the viewer is about it, at the same time. Good good shit. Not to forget you have HA tell you the whole time how it is. He says constantly that “He is the sinner.” And if we go back to what Father Michael said about on which people her ability does not work it is “sinners” aka people who killed another (or suicide, but I hate this it is a sin narrative) Harharhar. Call a spade a spade, I see you writers. I see you. Anyways, now it is DJ to the rescue and I am looking to what she is going to do. I hope we get the story told in full tomorrow instead to drag it into the final week which should focus on DJ and cute fluff tbh. I am afraaaaaaaid who these two last death going to be tho.

Is it too hard for SDH to play a full fledge positive role? Either he plays villain, a bully, a mean turning good…
It is because he is such a nice guy type that as writer you kinda itch to put a twist to his friendly appearance i suppose ;)

There is no better summary for the difference in dynamic between Taehee and his ex and him and Dongjoo than TH telling DJ "When I am talking with you, I feel i can breathe. "

Like idk if people understand/grasp the significance of his sentence here. But let me tell you it is huuuuuuuuge. And it cannot be overstated how very vital having such supportive, understanding and emotionally apt people like Dongjoo in your life is (especially in times of unexpected crisis where falling back into unhealthy coping mechanisms is your first choice bc habits die hard) for your process of healing, instead of people who are dragging you down with their demands/expectations/hurt feelings, additionally to all the traumatic baggage you are already (badly) dealing with.
