Oh gosh i love FL's irreverence toward etiquette and the king in general. She is channeling big So Bong/Young energy here (without the soul switch/anachronism tho) bless. The dinner scene had me in stitches, she is hilarious and shameless in the best possible way. 🀣 🀣 🀣

As i see it, episode 9 would have been the perfect ending for the drama when all her lies and cowardice finally…
The cafe scene stayed with me to this day, tho. Sublime raw and emotional acting from both leads but particularly JCW there, wow.

How was the first two ep?
The plot has the biggest crackhead energy tbh (man being trapped in his phone) but ML is a cutie and actually a good person. So I stick around for the characters more than the crack plot premise hahaha. Hope to see more of the FL in the next episodes tho

episode 12 is the most heart breaking episode..the poor young girl :( but THE ENDING. FINALLY, the day has come…
Yeees. It all has build up to that until now. I really enjoy how the story is structured and build, ngl

And you know this after one singular episode? Your crystal ball must be shiny, wow.Like sure not the best drama…
i mean you do you boo, but considering your rating for 90% of the dramas you watched and your giant dropped list, i kinda wonder if you even (still) enjoy watching kdramas at all, lmao

And people tapping out after one single episode will always be soooo damn weird to me, bc eps one is aaaaalways introductory only. But in the end it is aaaaall up to you what you do with your time, of course. Whatever.

Yeeees. He brings such a golden retriever energy to his character's happy in love scenes, it is most adorable…
I meant emotions in general, as caused by trauma/grief/guilt ;) He held back a looooot of them the past two years.

The dynamic between the two leads is not your usual push and pull kdrama bs. They have a mutual and very natural progression from bickering strangers to friends to lovers, all the way with a lot of mutual support and understanding and cheekiness/fun banter. It is like watching two people first getting to know, then appreciate and then love each other at the same speed.

But yeah i would say he fell first, as ML Taehee never has had a lukewarm feeling, positive or negative, about FL Dongjoo ever. She got under his skin from day one and had made herself a home there, however unintentional at first. And you notice that from episode 3 that he becomes attracted to her, though he is in denial of it/not realizing it fully because their dynamic and knowing her is so fluent and natural, it snuck up on him, more like. He smiles, is happy around her without even realizing or planning on it. And he makes DJ feel at ease around him just as equally. It is such a wonderful, adorable, mature and healthy portrayal/dynamic of/in the lead's relationship, one of the best i have seen in any kdrama, tbh.

Title The Forbidden Marriage Spoiler
but ML's dead wife didn't seem to be the right woman for him in that she didn't / couldn't give him the love &…
Yeah the king strikes me a guy who is bound to grow "bored" with the prim and proper ladies of joseon era. Like Mr. Queen's Cheoljong he needs a chaotic and free-loving/living woman not slavishly bound by etiquette and rules in his life to be happy😏

And FL is perfect for that, because while he'd asked the princess to call him "Hunny" probably for years or so and she denied him this out of respect for the crown, FL did this in the first meeting with him already, no f-- given, haha.

Average for a romcom
And you know this after one singular episode? Your crystal ball must be shiny, wow.

Like sure not the best drama ever to be aired, but lmao at ppl who judge a whole show on one (and its first) episode alone.

"How can you be more AI than AI?" - Kim Seon Ju (to Jeong Se Yeon)"I think you need to gain more experience before…
that is the truest job seeking catch 22 tho. Companies want 20 yrs old with fifteen years working experience.

Juhyun's voice is bit too masculine and heavy for a sageuk kinda felt like she was just reading out those scripts
Wow. That is an odd hill to die on, if i have ever seen one.

As of the most recent episodes ML is alive and well. Not sure about the upcoming episodes though. The newest previews…
It is definitely suffering max for him almost all the way through the show. Like the writers certainly ensures that this poor boi can't catch a break. There is no romance arc but his bond with FL is/starts to really definitely goes/go beyond "partners in crime." Great dynamic between the two and basically, they only have each other :( I also hope he will live but sadistic writer is sadistic regarding him, so i am skeptical 😭

FROM NOW ON SHOWTIME, MY (UNDERRATED) BELOVED. 2022 is almost over but i have yet to find a drama i loved as much…
Found it in May I Help You, btw, might even like it more than FNOS, whoops. Still love FNOS a lot of course, but i am heart and soul for the golden retriever couple atm :D

There are certain moments whe Tae Hee acts just like Jun's character in Love and Leashes and it's so darn cute
Yeeees. He brings such a golden retriever energy to his character's happy in love scenes, it is most adorable to behold. Especially since it contrasts so well with how much Taehee held back his emotions before that.

Which ahjumma do you mean? πŸ˜†
ohhhh HER. Yeeeeah tbh, she feels like a relic of drama days long past as tho she escaped a mid 2000 makjang drama and somehow stumbled her way into a modern kdrama, lmao. I never could anything of her seriously, bc she was so out there and so stereotypical rich evil chaebol mom that i had actually expected her to empty out a drink over Dongjoo's head when they met in the otherworldly parlor. πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

I mean it is adapted from a webtoon instead of an original work, so you cannot expect narrative nor literacy mastery…
No, of course not or necessarily. As in the end it always depends on cast/crew what they make out of a source material. But some webtoons have a distinct crackhead energy/plot and mediocre/simple writing that you ask yourself how it should make for a good story and drama. I count this one here to the crackhead category tbh bc a man becoming a smartphone? Really? It is so damn out there that i cannot take any of it seriously🀣

But lets see what script and actors make of it in the end.

The sad gurl hopefully takes a long vacation on jeju Island now. I Narratively seen you had a build up of her…
Also, now where Chungha experienced grief herself and regrets of things said and left unresolved perhaps she will gain a better or at least a modicum of understanding for as to why Taehee reacted as he did two years ago. Because hindsight is always 20/20 as they say.

I felt bad for Tae-an, Vincent and everybody else. Why would all of their stories be that heartbreaking?
Me too, but we are at the resolution arc of the plot that has build up until now. So all prior events come to a head and stakes are risen a final time before everything finds a cathartic resolution and things quiet down again.

Or as we writer say: It gets worse before it gets better/the characters get their deserved rest and relief, heh. It also shows well what butterfly effects such an incident can have even years later, because grief is never really "gone" You just live with it as best as possible. But i also feel that the events and talk with DJ have been cathartic for TH regarding his own part in it. He can start to let go of his guilt now. The drama wonderfully showed it with the framed photo he put back up on top of the drawer, instead of leaving it buried IN the drawer any longer. It was a nice touch of visual storytelling.

Now we are left to deal with the involvement of other parties in the incident for the main plot to be resolved, of course. Forgiveness is a huge theme in this drama, but it won't be easy and rather a long process to get there for TH toward the person involved. Understandably so.

There is nothing scary about this drama, except how underrated and overlooked it is by the majority of people,…
No problem the supernatural elements are really minor and only catalyst to tell the stories of people and is actually very down to earth. I wish more people would talk about this drama it definitely does not get the love and attention it deserves. Hope you enjoy it tho 😘
