At least he is broadening and flexing his acting skills and range in taking on different projects with more complex characters to tackle instead to be boxed into one genre/character type only. Because that would be actually lame, tbh.

Ngl, it is such a difference to seeing JCW here compared to If You Wish Upon Me that i literally pointed at the screen when he appeared and uttered "baby wookie, aaaaaw" haha. (Same for Park Min Young, ngl)

So i finally started it and so far i am surprised how well it holds up, especially compared to my other, so far singular foray into the 2014 drama era with Marriage not Dating, which looked like ripped straight out of the 2000 er and was just terribad in everything, lol. I expect the cheese to still to come but in smaller doses than MND tbh

I love how much I can hate jo han chul as the cray cray unhinged ahjussi. Reminds me strongly on his role in Vincenzo bc he always brings this bit of slimy cowardice to those characters and tbh by now I really want Vincenzo to manifest in TLC for a hot minute to get an encore of what he does to 'scum worse than him' hahaha

It was always real for ML as he loved her at first sight, but I think FL has never realized her feelings for him until to this very day (but makes good progress on it now)

Obligatory Angst has entered the narrative. Whatever that means in this drama tho xD Enjoyed the silly undercover boss, kdrama version episode but the plot has lost me a long time ago lmao. Really want to progress the romance a bit more/faster seeing we are now almost 8 episodes of 12 in, but I guess this is what putting him in danger/missing will be for. 👀😏👀

Logic went out the window in this drama long ago tbh. It is stupid and proud of it lol which makes it still so fun and watchable imo

Yeah, he is rather a milquetoast SML, which i vastly prefer to the creepy, persistent/toxic kind i have seen way too often already.

Because of a full bouquet of mental illness and trauma? Mostly mental illness, tho. Gurl needs lifelong therapy counseling, not a date whom she asked for murder.

i had it on hold for a while, but decided to drop now as it seems the story is getting really draggy etc later on. And tbh, i would rather invest my time into more of Flower Of Evil, and other, airing dramas atm. Whoops.

JCW/Gyeo Re is so damn cute whenever he goes off on a sulky rant about how he does not care (he DOES a lot), nor was in any way worried (he worried the MOST) and how it all is a damn inconvenience to him (He doesn't mind, he is just happy to see you okay) and slots in some mild cursing as well so it is not so very obvious -- except for everyone with a functioning brain and pair of ears/eyes -- that he has the softest of heart.

Such a dork. I love him and JCW's portrayal of this character.

Ngl, I always cackle whenever seo yeon joo and this pissbaby of a character interact and he complains about not being loved back... because every single of her words to him sounds like "You are SML, know your place. It is never gonna happen, dude." to me and i love it🤣

Yeon Joo wasn't lying when she said she was gonna make him workout more hahahaa. So i guess it was deliberately slotted in by the writers for his character lol.

Probably by design/character choice as gyoe Re isn't meant to be at his best, neither mentally nor physically. He has lived a rough life and hardly ate etc until coming to work in the hospice. Probably also why JCW looks more gaunt.

Completely different genre, not comparable tbh. I love both for different reasons. IYWUM is a slower paced warm healing story focused on the characters and their relationships and big mouth is a plot heavy fast paced thriller keeping you guessing at every turn. Far more comparable to Vincenzo or Flower of evil but the latter drama does execute its character writing better. BM is fun tho in its unpredictability, especially with its fourth wall breaking, bc where else you, as viewer, will be called a fool by its main character? 😁

Jokes aside, this drama got way too melo for my taste especially the last few eisodes with all the kdrama trope nonsense to stretch it out over 16 episodes when 12 would have sufficed. I know this one plot point needed to be resolved but what followed was angsty bs for the sake of angst, drawn out way too long. Which is a shame bc overall i really enjoyed that drama, particularly the both pairings were really cute. I am surprised how well the romance worked between the leads despite quite the age difference irl. ML was downright adorable in his affection for and commitment to FL, who equally did a great job in this role. Really like the actress and gotta watch more of her works (outside of Link,Eat, Love, Kill which i already watched)
