Has it an open end? Unresolved/unsatisfying ending? I am interested to watch but i hate when things are not wrapped up properly at the end, second season or not.
Under the aspect of nothing is serious, everything is silly and over the top this drama is pretty much fun to watch. Still very dumb at times, but watching like two episodes per week instead to binge it helps here too, i guess. I am also not as bothered as others were with FL, she falls firmly under the "over the top" category of the drama. Would be great if she tones it down a bit later on, but eeeh not a dealbreaker.
Yea, let's eat one poisonous flower to immediately (!) treat poison from another. Dosage? Usage method? Who cares,…
He simply has larger eyes tho? Weird point of criticism tbh, especially when an actor's appearance is concerned. As for the other things... it is not that deep, like I don't expect a kdrama, of all things, to be medical accurate or least of all advice/how to guide. First and foremost it is entertainment and this the drama does very well imo 🤷♀️
Wow wow that's a quick claimed you made this is only airing 1 episode. Don Sera's character is really into money…
Also they were in the casino she worked in, so it is very much her business. And real talk: I would rat them out too for this kind of money, lol. Gotta remember at this point they or rather ML are/is a literal stranger(s) and criminal at large to her. She does not have the knowledge the viewer has and it is unfair to judge her for this. Hence imo it is normal for her to be like "yay cashday" about this situation, haha. Especially considering that she is in need of money for her sister.
There are some like that. Crash Landing on You or Graceful Family, for example. But the latter is over the top…
Yeah god beware if a woman is in power instead, eh? I think the conservative view on things in society SK is too blame here, tho western media pulls this shit also still way too often. I watched CLOY and partly IOTNBO and liked the role reversal, but true these are really far and wide in between. The only other ones i can remember is the secondary couple in Run On and in The Secret Life Of My Secretary, but that's about it, alas. Hope more dramas subvert this trope in the future, tho i do not hold my breath 🙄
I think Snsd is on a roll with its members in dramas, Jinxed at first, Big mouth, if you wish upon me and now…
wth is a manly voice? Women either have higher or lower cadences/tones/voices when speaking, totally normal. Everyone is different, but a lower voice doesn't mean it is manly, lol.
cheap and, stupid. I like dumb comedy, as I call it pegasus market lvl, but I hate waikiki comedy and this is…
Personally i always refrain from judging a drama's quality after a single episode, since it is always introductory, but it seems you expected a serious crime/heist drama? Lol, yeah this is not it. Time that the comedy tag gets added asap, so ppl like you can make a more informed choice of whether to watch it or not. I like it so far, but i also love Eulachacha Waikiki and comedy in general, nor do i mind the camp as long it is entertaining.
Great fun! I laughed out loud several times during ep 1. Silly, and doesn't take itself seriously. Sometimes that's…
i took one for the team and requested the tag. We will see how it goes bc mdl mods are moody af. So let's hope when they spin the wheel it stops on approved, haha.
And yeah that bookcase IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM was totally inconspicuous lmao
I don't mind the campy-ness nor the trope bingo as long it is well executed and entertaining tbh. But for once i wanna see rich boss FL and poor hardworking ML instead only the other way around, but oh well. I like how chaotic it is, in the best way lol.
you rather need a damn chart for the relationship spiderweb, lmao. Three episodes in and i am still confused who…
She also plays the bitch sister in "Love All Play" so she indeed has found her niche, lmao. But yeah i had to revert to FF her scenes in order to finish the drama, since, like you said so well, she made my blood boil.
Do You Like Stress? Do You Like Stupid Misunderstandings? Do You Like Love Triangles? Do You Like People Who Can't…
Ngl, i needed to watch a light, fluffy drama after this one, because it bummed me so out. Like all the characters are so damn miserable, all the time. There is no levity in between to lighten the somber mood even a little which made it a really hard watch for me. And the passivity of the leads, especially in the latter half was reeeeally grating. They have things happen to them instead of them making things happen. It does has a good happy end, but it was a chore to get there and a shorter eps format could have helped a lot here too. KMJ and PEB really carried the show and were the reason i powered thru, albeit on 2x speed in the end lmao.
You know these people who loudly and often let you verbally know how they "DON'T CARE" and put on an indifferent, cold air but all their actions show the complete opposite? That is ML basically. He is a softie wrapped in a lot of attitude and supposed callousness that serves him well to keep people away/at arms length in order to not get hurt/betrayed by them as his grandfather was. Plenty of reasons why you are led to believe he is an unfeeling, materialistic jerk, especially in first few episodes. When in truth he is so much more than what meets the eye. His character development is one of the most satisfying ones in kdrama, imo, though he always had been a (not-so) secret adorkable cinnamon roll, lol. The char development just serves to bring him back to that point where he no longer feels the need to put on this whole show of indifference. And i love how the writers handled it.
FL is perceptive, smart, bubbly, sometimes loud and impulsive with a strong sense of justice and a big heart. She can and will kick ass if needed, but it first and foremost concerned with the safety and wellbeing of her community and finding the truth about her father's death. Fiercely protective of the people she holds dear. So she is nice and warmhearted but far from being a doormat and will make her opinions and thoughts clear. Impulsive in the way that she can run with a wrong assumption w/o proving facts, but she is not beyond to stop, reflect and to apologize for mistakes made at a later point. Wonderfully dorky and chaotic too, at times. She complements Chawoong (ML) perfectly for various reasons and is one of the few, if not the only one, to empathize with his situation, to understand him and get under his skin without much trying. And FL can read ML like an open book from the start, which given their further story and bg, is much less of an surprise than you may initially think haha.
Basically, they are both flawed people hurt by the past and circumstances in the beginning and grow/develop toward their better self during the drama. Also because they keep challenging, understanding and supporting each other. From the get go the writers make it clear that the leads relate to each other, in however small ways at first until it slowly becomes something bigger/more. Partners in every sense of the word, indeed.
