He is very wooden in W, imo, and while chemistry is subjective for everyone, there was none with FL either imo. The batshit insane script/plot did neither of them any favor either tbh. YMMV, but i count "W- Two Worlds" as one of the worst dramas i had the misfortune to ever come across (and that quite early in my kdrama watch career, since it is mysteriously so well loved/popular and thus often recced) and it soured me on LJS as an actor for MONTHS.

What made me rethink my negative view on him was "Romance Is A Bonus Book" and I was floored with how cheeky/charming and warm he could be. Really enjoyed him in this role and how literature/poems were used to showcase his character's love for FL. While You Were Sleeping is nice too, but i found myself skipping a lot thru the prolonged court scenes and latter episodes. Highly recommend RIABB tho if you like a good friends to lovers romance drama/story that is more mature but also sweet af.

this is why this theory is so much fun and my fave. I always loved when a movie etc used that narrative device, which does happen not nearly often enough. It also made the deadpool movies so much more fun (for me) tbh :D

Hmm, another drama i cannot watch legally, i see. Which i prefer lately, not so much as for supporting the drama but more like the paid player/streaming being much better than the buffering nightmares to find on dramacool etc. Oh well, no choice here other than to bear with it, i guess.

Yeah, dropped it at eps 7 as i could not be bothered to continue watching tbh. River Where The Moon Rises is a good Na In Woo drama tho and he is very different and lovable in there, compared to the obsessive and creepy SML role in Mr. Queen. I really enjoyed that contrast between the roles. (Reminds me to continue watching it, when i am more in historical drama mood again) He also plays a support role in Mystic Pop Up Bar, which is a great drama as well.

I am not far into the drama yet (eps.6) but their interactions feels very natural and mature thus far. The banter flows sol well between them and they treat each other more like longtime friends instead of recent acquaintances with how open and supportive they are w/ each other almost from the start. Both leads are a bit of an oddball, but that makes them charming and lovely, imo. Secondary couple hadn't had much screentime yet (hello Kang Tae Oh 😏) but from what i have seen is enjoyable. Give it a go, maybe? I enjoy it more than i thought i would, given its rather simple storyline/plot.

I am not offended, lol. I have no stakes in this game. Just saying that one drama or so is often not enough to judge an actor sufficiently/ and or can give you the wrong impression of them (due to a weak script as well etc) and compared it with my experience regarding LJS in W which soured me on him as a ML for quite a while, is all lol. We are all good tbh, and imo this drama here is delightful and well-worth a watch.

Viki is actually the only streaming service i can reliably use for airing dramas as they drop the eps a day later at the latest there. It is fast and reliable.

Netflix though? Tough luck, wait a month or six to watch the "currently airing" show (they just published 2521 lmao) and then they only release two episodes per week either, even when they are publishing it relatively close to the actual airing date. Aka when the airing episodes are like idk 11/12 rn, I have like 5/6 as the latest episodes on my countries' netflix available. Ugh.

So basically i watch airing netflix shows and disney plus dramas on alternative streaming pages, despite paying for netflix, lol #europeproblems (should really shell out for a vpn soon lol)

Um, never judge a drama after one episode as this one is always introductory and thus you have seen barely anything thus far, nor would you be able to judge a drama's quality with just one eps.

Keep watching, if you still don't like it a few episodes in you can always drop it then ;)

K2 was what? 2014? 2016? A lot of time has passed since then and imo it is not fair to judge the actress for her then acting abilities in a drama and that was six years ago or more.

Tbh, if i had stopped at W-Two Worlds which i found absolutely atrocious in every single regard, I would have never picked up another LJS drama, but then Romance Is A Bonus Book came along and now i actually like him and his acting. Imo, he is at his best in this non-romcom role as off-the wall/chains anti hero character of sorts. Heh. Hence tis always better to not write off an actor after a single role, especially when it is in an older drama.

Big Mouth is a pretty unique experience tbh. Like where else you as the viewer will be called a "stupid idiot" by a fictional character? 🤣

Yup, the only time he didn't interact with us at the end is in episode 5 where the narrative is clear on him being BM and he acts the part without holding back. Coincident? I think not 😏

Yup. Like kdrama previews he is a liar who lies and is not to be trusted haha. This is my favorite theory bc it would be a clever narrative device and way to keep us on our toes till the end 😏

Yep, love the clever wordplay in hangul. 빅마우스 is the reason why i keep staying in the changho is fooling us all and is BM camp, hehe.

Like the way he looks directly into the camera at US with that psychotic laugh and says, "you all got fooled you stupid idiots" Daaaaamn talk about breaking the fourth wall and Changho is not to be believed, imo. Unreliable narrator extraordinary, tbh.

At this point i have whiplash from how quickly things change or appear to, but i surely enjoy the wild ride. Still think it is Changho, but tbh, i don't care anymore who BM actually is, since it is just so much fun watching CH enacting Vincenzo Season 2 on his enemies hahaha
