Couldn't connect with the big two of 2022 that people loved and gushed about (2521, My Liberation Notes) similar to now EAW, And with the hindsight of months later and a lot of other dramas watched, ABP was just an okay drama, nothing special.

Aww i loved Link and its examination of the different forms and effects of trauma and how to move on afterwards. More slice of life than thriller/mystery in the end, yeah, so if you go in expecting this instead of said slow examination i can understand the disappointment, maybe.

But yeah, EAW is finally the drama that helped me move on from my "From Now On Showtime" hangover when it ended in June, and already is in my top 3 by now 🐋(Same for the couple of the show btw, cute and wholesome af) I fear the next hangover is coming when EAW ends tho 😭

I don't think the scene of Junho being upset about youngwoo asking if they are dating already in the preview will be a big deal between them tomorrow. It will serve as a reminder for him tho to continue clear/direct communication with youngwoo instead of assuming. Like he did in the video call in the latest episode, voicing his own needs. Loved that bit.

Her retelling the jokes to jungho and him enjoying it despite knowing the dad jokes already was the best thing awwww. I love how youngwoo enjoys silly puns because honestly.... same 🤣

Oh yeah it gets clearer with each episode tbh. Also there is the deleted scene from eps 8 adding to it, aka TS stealing her bf and ending up marrying him.

Oh gosh that scene was so wholesome <3 Youngwoo is a quick learner too i see, since she applied everything Junho told her in episode 10, haha 😏🤭 The best part was daddy woo seeing them, ngl. I have been waiting for this, haha.

Outside of her pettiness to her rival, i think she is a good person, yeah. Their elevator scene today had me rolling. Like Han expected her to tell her about Tae Sumi and how hard it is to have met her mom, or something, but Youngwoo goes "well, kissing is difficult, because i cannot breathe during it. i wonder if there is a way to do both at the same time."

And Han Seon Young very much regretted asking in the first place 🤣

Junho's one flaw, they/youngwoo named it, hahahaha 😂

Guess this drama is another Vincenzo for me, aka a drama i did not expect to like as much as i ended up to, since this is normally not a show i would pick up (synopsis-wise). Glad i did, as it had a really strong start that pulled me in and made me feel for the characters. Like there are dramas where i just going thru the motions while watching but here I am fully engaged all along, which is due to the drama's strong acting and writing thus far. Hope it continues this way going forward.

Also lmao @ how Chang accidentally collects so much prison cred bc he is out of fucks to give/tries to die, but fails due to sheer dumb luck. I love the darkish humor in here and while it is serious it never is TOO serious and grim dark (like other revenge dramas that put me to sleep due to it), kinda reminiscent of Vincenzo haha. I wish the same, but for the female characters in this drama. They only seem to exist to induce jealousy for FL and would fail any bechdel test. Why tf are there no female mages outside of that one smurfette that does not really play a role outside her romance with the mage dude? (i am 14 eps in and i cannot even remember her name which yeah... not a good sign) If there are female characters they are super passive and one-dimensional and mostly in servant or meek roles in the bg. Why is being a mage such a sausage party only when it is a fantasy world where such limitations should not apply? This has been bothering me from the start with that drama tbh.

It really helps putting shows on hold and coming back to it with a fresh eye and mind. I do this quite a lot if my interest either peters or wanders off to another drama. I only drop dramas where the thought of picking it back up causes me existential dread haha (bc they were so boring etc)

It is not just the ending it is the whole writing of the show that is bad and amounts to nothing. Waste of time honestly.
