Unless you live under a rock, friend, you hardly can escape the whale couple/JungWoo atm, since there are clips etc on social media everywhere, lol. So that is kinda a superfluous question🤣
1. Tired of reincarnation love stories2. Tired of Kdrama showing their ML as the greatest man to ever live. I…
Then don't watch it? Lol, don't know the purpose of your comment here tbh other than pointlessly complaining. I know this drama deals with the first point, not so sure it contains the others, as i have just started watching it. Especially the third point is subjective, bc ppl are damn hypocrites that are quick to hate FLs when she behaves outside the narrow "nice, meek and pleasant all the time" stereotype applied for women, and never even give her the chance to see/wait for her character development. And that while ML can never do wrong in their eyes, no matter what he does, from the get go. Gendered double standard, plain and simple, ugh. (So yeah, i somewhat agree to the second point, but that is more the viewer who does it, not the drama, unless it is very stylized as in WWWSK, or something.) The female character(s) is/are always put under a especially critical lens and them being labeled as "annoying" nearly by default when they dare to behave in an "imperfect way" aka being loud, confident. cold/arrogant etc, hence all the attributes viewers applaud MLs for, or, god beware, dares to make mistakes/oversteps boundaries etc. THAT is what i am tired of and annoys me. So much.
But tangent aside, there are not really many reincarnation love stories in kdrama? A handful at most (Goblin, From Now On Showtime, LOTBS, Tale Of The Nine-Tailed, Mystic Pop Up Bar, and this one, from the top of my head) while the whole "met as children thus are destined to be" trope is way more pervasive and annoying tbh. Anyway, i am sure there are enough other dramas to your liking then.
WYW is not like that girl from the trial. Her mental age is of an adult and she has high IQ. She may not even…
It will be a formal introduction of himself much more than asking for permission to date young woo, because while parental approval is important in Korea in general, I think asking for permission is really outdated and taking away her own agency. She ain't a goat to sell after all but a person who can decide that for herself lol.
I need Young Woo’s dad to meet Jun Ho asap!!! Will he be happy or worried?
I swear each time we get to the end scene I expect JungWoo to come through the door after he walks her home, and each time I'm disappointed with it being Tae instead 😔😁😒
Omg my head is spinning EAW , AOS, NOW Big Mouth, Adamas, New Webtoon. Started….Anyone watching 4 out of 5.
Watching EAW and AoS and giving webtoon and big mouth a try to see if I like it 😌 I'm more catching up on older dramas atm since the August lineup of kdramas isn't as interesting as in other months for me.
Omg the "Whale Fandom" is sooo accurate! I love this 🌬️😲🐳
ikr? We were all min-min in the last episode xD And the animation with Junho. exe has crashed (those error messages) were so accurate hahaha. "He was too stunned to speak" seems to be his default mode ever since meeting Youngwoo tbh 🤣
The romance is really happening fast, ep 10 and they're already kissing, I guess modern drama are like that. I'm…
It i not fast tho? It is pretty much kdrama standard pacing, where you get the first kiss of the leads around episode 8 or so. Imo, it has the appropriate development for where we are at in the story. Doesn't mean they will not be facing some difficulties down the line, but their commitment to each other comes at a sensible/logical point and after enough "will they/won't they" back and forth.
so i know someone who’s a mother of a pwd, she also watches this show. i asked her opinion about the case. she…
That was a good. interesting discussion to read, and i have nothing other to add than calling being physically intimate with a partner "doing the deed" made me cringe a lot lmao. Just call it "having sex/being physically intimate", that is less awkward imo 🤣
In Korea, whales are pronounced "Gorae." Korean viewers call the YW's Eureka moment "Goraeka moment" by combining…
I love how much Korean love wordplays tbh, there are so many haha. It is my favorite thing about/when learning a language as well, so thanks for the explanation <3
Yay, romance is added as genre tag. We did it. Thanks to the ppl submitting an edit :D Now maybe lets vote up the tag "slow burn romance" to be visible? (slight romance is gone too as tag, aka the evil is defeated.gif) 🤣
Yeah, he used to go live a lot too there, but not atm. It is "jhkim0405" Hope that helps :)
From Now On Showtime, one of my most favorite kdramas of the year/all time fave now, and probably one of the most overlooked in 2022 too, alas.
Action, horror, comedy, mystery, supernatural/ghost shenanigans, high chaotic energy of the leads/supporting crew, past lives, satisfying slow burn romance and character development in a well-balanced genre mix. The humor is on point and imo on a lvl with mr. queen. This underappreciated drama has everything and deserves more love <3
I want to watch other fantasy korean dramas to kill time while waiting for Saturday. I saw Arthdal Chronicles…

I need more Jung So mIn and the FL being badass. Hopefully that is what the second half of the drama is all about!…
Omg, i could never put my finger on what bothered me about the plot, but that is it. The downgrade of FL's abilities to bolster the ML. While i like their dynamic as a whole i am really not a fan of that tbh
I just finally cracked and bought subscription to Viki Plus. Now I can watch all the K-dramas that I had wanted…
I love watching kdrama on viki the most due to the timed comments everyone can leave on any eps of a show. They can be incredibly frustrating at times but also can be very funny and spice up boring bits etc. It's fun to throw your thoughts of a scene into the wild. I left a loooooot of TC on FNOS, so much that other users even commented on it haha #noregrets
that is always subjective, but to me the situational, quieter humor is just as good as the big, quirky comedic scenes thanks through its cast and acting. Imo at a lvl with mr. queen with its humor. It has its own quirky, unique feel with almost never taking itself too seriously and being quite self-aware up to goofy at times. If you have watched Mystic Pop Up Bar you know what to expect in terms of brand of humor and trademark quirky characters, bc FNOS is the newest work from the same writer turned up to eleven (bc it is more comedic and lighter in tone than MPUB most of the time) :D
