Am I the only one who thinks that it's getting more and more boring? Are they stretching this stuff to get to…
Yeeeeeah the story is definitely stretched out to 20+ episodes when tighter writing and less filler could have achieved the same in 16 or less, tbh. Dunno why this story needs a sequel in the first place, really.
I started to watch the drama on 1,5-2x speed (outside of the main leads scenes) as the episodes are also too long in runtime (nearly 1 and a half hours) and a lot of it is just not interesting, imo.
FL is not a red flag, she is her whole own red flag armada dipped in toxic waste, holy hell. If the roles were…
This drama is definitely way more watchable on 2x speed, bc it tends to draw out individual scenes for too long. I really like the cinematography and editing of it tho, very well done and pretteh. Also see glimpses of character development with everyone now, even FL, which surprises me the most. She is still very volatile tho.
Oof, this is a hard watch at times. I really like the leads (their friends are garbage people tbh) bc it is not often you see introverts front and center in a drama. Their slow development from strangers to friends to lovers and accompanied shyness/awkwardness is also realistic and even cute at times, but dear god why are the characters and the general tone of the drama so fucking miserable all the time? It makes me wanna take the characters by the shoulders and shake them until they either speak up or lighten up. God, crack a joke, smile, live a little, they are making me depressed with how sad they are all the time. The drama has really a very somber and gloomy atmosphere almost without any levity. Probably the suiting drama to watch on a rainy, gray autumn day, bc this is the mood it has throughout.
Doesn't help that 85% of the side characters are downright assholes and fully unsympathetic, bitter/jealous people. Especially that Jung Kyung sour-faced witch. Downright unbearable to watch her emotionless, stoic mask of a face, bitterness and shitty entitlement whenever she appears. She kills every scene and i don't mean that her acting is great with that. More like that she sucks the air out of any space, any joy and effervescence to be had with her utter flatness. Lol, the actress playing her is indeed very much typecasted for the jealous bitch friend role, as it is the very same role and character type she played in Yumi's Cell as well, down to the same motivations and characteristics. Insufferable.
I feel PEB and KMJ's backs must have hurt a lot after finishing shooting this drama because they truly and definitely carried the drama on their own. They are the reason i continue watching bc i adore both actors, while everything else is just super annoying by now (eps 11) I really need to watch some comedy drama after that bc damn this is depressing lmao.
you rather need a damn chart for the relationship spiderweb, lmao. Three episodes in and i am still confused who likes who, outside of the leads slowly but surely growing more attracted to each other. But there is unrequited love from the leads toward their respective friends that linger underneath and needs to be "overcome" first for them to date, i suspect. Then there are several other minor details in their friend's group with exes etc, lol but i kinda handwave it in favor of the leads, who are two adorkable introverted beans. I love watching them growing more fond of each other, if at a slow pace.
Yeah, it is probably the same for everyone in europe. I hate Netflx' bs 2 episodes per week thing but i guess…
Yeah i understand how currently airing shows work, but netflix are doing the same shit with some dramas that have long finished/or are so ahead they will finish airing in 2-3 weeks for some unfathomable reason. Plus there is always a 4 episode lag/gap behind what is airing on my netflix, which means episode 5 and 6 will only get released on netflix on wednesday when episode 9 and 10 are airing. THIS is what makes no sense tbh, at least be SOMEWHAT up to date ugh
This looked to be a light romcom but imo it is quite bleak how she uses people and forces fake feelings on them for her illusion of happiness. Nothing about it is real but she keeps doing it in a vicious cycle for more external approval to boost her crappy self-esteem, like a drug fix that is temporary. Yikes.
Ofc we have the bf who is in love with her for real but keeps getting dismissed by her, or not even considered. Also yikes. He deserves better tbh

Yeah tbh, i mostly use netflix for the older netflix exclusive kdramas, bc currently airing ones are unwatchable, in quite the literal sense, there. Like, for example 2521 aired months ago but will only be released on my countries' netflix in late summer lmao. I ain't got time to wait for so long hence why i watch these kdramas on "alternative sites" tbh.
It's a high quality cute drama and you'll love it if you like case dramas. 8.5/10 for me, I'm watching mostly…
Not the biggest fan of the cases or courtroom stuff tbh but i really like how the writers make this part of the drama relate to YWY theme-wise. Since they are used to either show the viewer more of her character/bg or to challenge her/make her grow. It all fits nicely together <3
Is it only on my Netflix that there are only 4 episodes out of this drama?? MDL says that the next episode to…
Yeah, it is probably the same for everyone in europe. I hate Netflx' bs 2 episodes per week thing but i guess it is due to the subs needing time to be created? Either way i would prefer if they take a bit longer but release it then all at once, bc you are no network station that needs to follow the two episodes per week rule, netflix. Ugh.
You can catch up on sites like dramacool or kisskh with engl. subs in the meanwhile. Just google it.
So glad I put this on hold this after watching 4 episodes! I had a feeling she would end up alone in the show.…
Same here, put on hold at eps 6 and now dropped it. It is not as much as her not ending up with Babi, but more the incoherent way the whole second half of S2 was written with the whole back and forth and why giving babi SR's scenes on top of that when the result is the same in the end, lol. I ain't got time for that.
Lmao, is this some new kind of copy paste meme i missed? Either way, can't take it seriously, bc it has a strong…
I mean you do you boo, but if you are so fucking miserable watching kdrama... maybe... just maybe *don't* and seek out another hobby that makes you happier?
Lmao, is this some new kind of copy paste meme i missed? Either way, can't take it seriously, bc it has a strong…
Haha, ikr? If there is one thing i learned there is a gif for everything xD
I mean to each their own, but if i had almost 400 shows in my "currently watching" list i would be fucking miserable too and lose all fun watching kdrama tbh.
These days no kdrama is making me excited i want old dramas back
Ngl, as someone who started to watch kdramas late in 2021, old kdramas are vastly unwatchable to me. But it depends on how old we are talking about. I am fine with all down to and around 2014, but i also see a lot of annoying af tropes in the older shows that the dramas of recent years have eradicated for the most part thru better/tighter (character/plot) writing.
As for good recent kdramas: Hmm maybe try Mystic Pop Up Bar, From Now On Showtime and Thirty But Seventeen if you want good storytelling with romance. Tho this depends if you like your romance flavored with a bit of fantasy/supernatural and healing/moving away from trauma, (for the last one), of course
i notice kto is really good at microexpression. he is far less experience than eunbin but somehow wasnt overshadowed…
Yeeeeep, he indeed is. And it is always a good sign (of abilities) if they can hold their own when paired with such an acting powerhouse such as PEB <3
