Not much has happened the past two episodes tbh, but then again i find the drama at its best when it is focused on the characters and their dynamics instead of some nebulous plot like the villains are murmuring of in best cartoonish fashion haha
I will catch up on it later when it is released in my countries' netflix in august since no many airing dramas…
It is in the recommended section of this drama, because, well, it is similar to CM in a way. It has a very good mystery/supernatural/comedy/romance genre-mix with lovable, quirky characters and a slow burn romance. Same writer that did Mystic Pop Up Bar, and it shows (in a good way). Sadly the drama got vastly overlooked in the flood of april/may 2022 releases and next to no network promo. More info here:
FNOS vibes, hmmm cringe. But funny yeah but 18 episodes? Will watch when all episodes are out
I will catch up on it later when it is released in my countries' netflix in august since no many airing dramas interest me that month. But i had to lie when i don't say it feels like a discount version of FNOS in a way, lol. (tho FNOS had actual supernatural stuff, of course)
Since i feel like coming down with COVID (achy throat, cough, bit of temperature, fatigue, headache etc) this seems to be the appropriate watch for today at home while i isolate myself, lol.
Idk if this is a case of me not having expected the drama to be so melodramatic right from the get go, me not in the mood for such when having expected something more lighthearted, at least a bit. Or yet another case of mdl ratings and me not seeing eye to eye.
However, six episodes in and i fail to connect to any of the characters, least of all care about them. ML's acting is great and he probably the reason i held out, yet i am growing more and more bored with the drama and the endless squall of misery. The constant crying and whining (no matter how good the reason is for it) is getting tiring tbh, and the switching between past and present is too arbitrary and often, disturbing the flow of the story. I can see the appeal of such a story about family and second chances, and maybe it gets better later on, but i feel no motivation to put in another 10 hours or so to find out. I tried.
Go Back Couple wasn't the best drama either, but it packaged the whole topic in a more entertaining fashion, imo.
If you liked Mystic Pop Up Bar, make sure to check out the newest but sadly vastly overlooked work of the drama's writer, as both have similar vibes and themes:
Unpopular and controversial opinion but even if they are step siblings or something (highly unlikely) I'm still…
imo if, BIG if, they are step siblings (which i doubt) i see it similar, bc they did not grow up together, nor are related by blood. But as said, this drama has no makjang twist like storytelling, thankfully, so this won't happen. They have planted seed after seed in the prior episodes of how YWY is the daughter Tae keeps on denying to have.
I am gonna riot😤😤😤if the above theory become true. Till now comment section is filled with wild theories…
Please follow your screenname and chill your mind, friend.🤣 I highly doubt anything like that will happen (aka our whale couple being (step) siblings in some kind of way)
The ableism in your comment making me disgusted. Comparing autistic people to demons and robots. Have you never…
I swear no matter how positive and constructive a comment section for a drama is, there is always that one asshole. You know the ones. Tis almost like clockwork, ugh.
I love him too. I hope we do get more of his backstory but from we do know he worked at volunteer program & hasn’t…
Would love to see more of his bg to flesh his character out more. (w/o the theory wilding that ppl are doing atm coming true) But maybe he will remain as a love interest only, which tbh would be okay too as female characters had been written as such for decades before. So why not a guy for a change? Lol.
Such a phenomenal legal Kdrama after such a long time. Park Eun Bin's acting is the highlight of this show. For…
The reasons you listed are exactly why I normally don't watch legal dramas as they tend to bore me with their prolonged speeches, drawn out court stuff and/or ninja me with makjang/over the top drama, lol. I find some cases more interesting than others in EAW but for me it has the right balance between easier to follow courtroom stuff and slice of life stories which, for me, does include romance. Part of life and all, and I find it well handled thus far. No prob if YMV tho 😉
