It is a clever almagan of shooting star and shitting star, since the korean word for "shooting star" is a compound word out of "Star, poop star" (별똥별 = byoel, ttung, byoel)

Plus the PR team does clean up the shit the stars produce, which you also see FL doing in her comic self at the end of the credit/title screen. So it is really an apt title😎

Yeah i feel there is a lot more to that story. Feels like the typical idiots in love trope (aka protecting her from the public, not thinking she had feelings for him and the other way around while both had a crush on each other they did not realize or too late. Hence IDIOTS in love lmao)

Mystic Pop Up Bar is quite similar if you want to watch more dramas in the vein of Tomorrow

You must not have a pet, because i bawled like a baby at the dog with only little time left who didn't want to become a burden. I also talk to my pets/cat so i didn't find it ridiculous at all tbh

There is no romance, just hints at a past connection (maybe lovers) between them. The drama has not revealed their full story yet, so we do not know what they were to each other in their previous lives. They do share some ambiguous, lingering looks whenever they meet/talk and have good chemistry (imo) but there is nothing beyond that in the drama.

She just caught feels for cha cha Wong (like her spacing out tells a lot lol) but him being so prickly and distant due to his own denial of feels for her does not make it easy to anything further to happen. Hence Sml is more approachable atm not to mention he is feeling territorial toward Cha Wong all the sudden. I expect episode 6 to bring more development as Wong finally called himself her partner heh. Their chemistry however is sizzling either way 🤩

Well, the drama is not focused on them only, but several characters having their own story in the entertainment industry. It is more a slice of life/work drama with added romcom than the other way around. Took me a while to warm up to the show but i now love the concept and sidestories of the drama. If it were focused on the romance only it would get stale quickly, imo. Guess you expected a classic romcom instead which explains your disappoinment?

Yeah the character of Taesung could be so annoying but Kim Young Dae manages to make him charming thru absolutely nailing the duality of petty celebrity diva and whipped (but oblivious) puppy in love. Like the way he always looked at her for a reaction at the set after a shot scene or during the drama airing premiere is too damn adorable 😆❤️

Same, he is like an unruly puppy who searches for her in the crowd and then goes to pee at her leg to mess with her 🤣 And I also love how they are popping out each time when he is jealous/angry hahaha. I think KJD is doing a wonderful job so far to portray this petty diva and the comedy within 😆

Nah, me neither. I am 99,5% always in the ML/FL shipping camp and while lawyer is cute I see no reason to change that in this drama. Plus it seems very onesided with FL's admittance of having little interest in him outside work. With GTS there is history there, however and dormant/suppressed feelings. I think regarding the epilogue there is more to that story than currently meets the eye. It reeks a lot of the idiots in love trope, tbh. And never forget that misunderstandings are the no.1 staple of kdramas after all, lol. So yeah😁

I love how much the PR team ships Han Byeol with GTS. They are basically her own fanclub at this point, lmao.

Yeah, i specifically mean these type of songs tbh. There was one or two in the first episode too and it was a bit jarring tbh.

The scene with the great spirit doing his whole menacing "HOW DARE YOU" spiel only to force ML to work with his beloved idol and the bet with the kid and dog had me in stitches. I love the humor of this show so much 😂

I understand makjang as cheap, overblown melodrama and this drama is definitely NOT that. I find it relatable and poignant in large parts as underneath the fantasy/supernatural elements there is a lot of social commentary packed into these episodes. Each client is different, means different stories every (two) episodes, but it does have a red thread going thru it all in form of the backstories of the main characters and their development. I think if Mystic Pop Up Bar and Hotel Del Luna had a child this drama would be the result tbh, lol.

Minor nitpick: While the modern songs (aka those with lyrics) are really beautiful, they are very unsuited for a historical drama, imo. It does pull me out of the story/illusion of it being set in Joseon of the 16th century when there is a slow kpop-ish ballad in the background playing, ngl.

It's weird how ppl here expect the whole story and reason why the main leads and their dynamic are like they are after only five episodes to be fully laid out. Like... we still have ELEVEN more to go and as such ample time to dig into their motivation and background, but in order to do that you gotta establish the characters and their dynamics "in the present" FIRST. We are at this stage now imo, with some added dynamic upheaval that things may not be or stay as they were prior. These last words of him in the recent eps sure gave/will give her some food for thoughts, heh.

But yeah, while i am curious to see why he has a crush on her for so long without acting on it or why they are at this weird love/hate impasse, maybe have some patience people? We are not even halfway thru the show so it is reeeeally weird to see ppl complain about that lol. (Plus it is a more traditional comedy romcom drama with, for example, edited in fire effects coming out of their eyes when they are angry, so i don't actually expect the story to get *that* deep in the first place, lmao.)
