Also, since it's his first love relationship with someone, so he's kinda naive in that way (can't read the signs) LOL!

P.S. Remembering myself in my first relationship with a more experienced man. I was more like along for the ride as I was so inexperienced back then.

IMO he looks awkward in many scenes because he's in an awkward position ('coz of the lies/the plot). He's also started feeling guilty in many scenes.

Ah, I just chalked it up to her behaviour specifically towards her own lover. I assume despite the fact she's a bandit leader, she could be that sweet towards Ziyu back then when they were still together (the novel said it was a puppy love).

So CXZ needed LMT’s help to crack the bandit murder case…she is indeed smarter now. Ep 19 is where first time…
I loved it when he said "I'm sure of this now. Lu Wen is back", even though he had no idea it was LMT. Also when he said that he wanted to marry LMT and that was the first time in his life he was trying to get what he actually wanted.

I also loved it when FL confronted Mr. Cao (bringing her uncle who also needed to take a revenge). I don't like it if dramas turn smart FLs into silly characters in the middle of the drama.
