Actually enjoyed ep. 4 the most. The message about finding out what you truly want to do instead of becoming a people pleaser (like 2nd ML) is very important. Also love it when ML told 2nd ML, "Why do you want to chase MY dream? You should chase your OWN dreams."
Even though the plot isn't surprising, I'm still touched by the end of the movie because Ami's dream of traveling reminds me of my biggest childhood dream. The difference is that I got to live longer than her (assuming she passed away a few years after their last phone call) and I've traveled to more than just one country. That alone was like a poignant sucker punch to my heart, because it makes me become MORE thankful that I got (and still get) the chances to fulfill my childhood dreams.

Even though Jing character isn't my type, I can totally see why XY chooses him. I feel like watching my BFFs choose guys that suit them. Their lives, their choices, their preferences. When one BFF broke up with her then boyfriend and she came crying, I felt her pain, too, even though the guy wasn't my type. So this is what I feel watching XY - Jing couple.
XL - XY = I can feel the attraction, but I know they're not right for each other because of their personal choices and their positions. Also, to make things more complicated, XL = FFB. With this couple, I feel like "OMG, if only things were differenttttt" (just like XY once said how she wished she had been the one to save XL instead of the General back then). But such is life...
CX - XY = I love their bond. Considering the fact that CX can only be fully himself in front of XY, I get his growing obsession. As the audience, it hurts me too, knowing that the growing obsession will only ruin their relationship. We were pretty close when we grew up as there were only us two (and he's only 2 years younger than me). Now that I've moved halfway across the world for over 17 years, a few months ago I asked him again how he felt when I told him I was going to get married to a foreigner and move far away from home.
I had forgotten that he actually first said this to me, "Why don't you find someone from our country?"
Then according to him, my reply was, "Then why don't you find someone suitable for me from our country?" He said he wouldn't be able to do so.
After I got married and moved away, my mom told me that my brother said this to her, "Mom, look! Because you only have me and my sis, now that sis has left far away, I'm the only one left. Why didn't you have another child back then?" LOL LOL!!!!!
Dunno...back then I only thought about pursuing what I wanted, but this drama reminds me (again) of the ones I left behind halfway across the world...and their complicated feelings when one family member moves far away from home...
