I feel for jixing, but i kind of feel she and her boyfriend don't match. It's understandable for the breakup to…
I agree. I think he can foresee how busy she's going to be with the new business. She keeps having to ditch him during their dates (or she falls asleep in his car/while watching a movie in bed) and that's not the kind of life he wants to have with his beloved.

Can we PLEASE get rid of ZD? Really, I blame HT. He needs to draw a line in the sand with their relationship,…
ZD: (in her mind) Lemme love you (brings his fave food, would probably even feed him if he lets her LOL!). Lemme show you how much more I can love you (oh, you've got a new aquarium, lemme buy you fish!). Lemme show you how I can take care of you reeaaaallly well (taking him to the restaurant so he can listen in on FL and co.).

BGM music: Britney Spears "I'm A Slave For You".

My thoughts: I actually like the age aspect portrayed in this drama. In her late 20s, she struggles to compete with the younger people to be a civil servant. In the body of an ahjumma, once she gets the desk job, her performance is many times better than the previous employees, but this is also because deep inside, she's in her late 20s. The irony! If only she gets ONE chance to prove that she can deliver/perform well as a civil servant...

It's true that in many countries, older workers struggle to get a job compared to the younger ones. Now in my late 40s, I used to think that the higher up the ladder and more experience you had over the years, you'd be able to switch jobs more easily (and get a higher salary), but nope. I've seen a few BFF's husbands losing jobs at their early fifties/late forties and then they struggled to get another one. Either the companies think they're too expensive to pay (thus preferring younger ones by saying they're over qualified) or that the salary they want isn't something the company can give (so it's hard for them to even find suitable job offers to apply to).

Another BFF really wants to switch to another workplace, but she knows she won't be able to find one that easily (unlike in her early 20s where she could more easily move from one workplace to another). She can't just quit her job before getting a new job, so she's just trying to cope with it because she's got bills to pay.

Apink iconic song "Mr Chu" came out of nowwhere, and I loved every bit of it. Jung Eun-ji performing on her own…
Ditto! I love the way they portrayed the scene, too, with the both of them on the stage. AWESOME!!!!! Just like the many other scenes where they had both of them acting the same scene (sometimes with Eun Ji as the reflection seen in the background).

Ah, I see. Well, based on their values (what they want in life), it does seem that ex bf suits the rich girl more than FL (also 'coz rich girl wants exactly that type of guy). In this sense, Han Ting also fits FL better.

But I get what you mean about "disgusting". One thing I'm glad of in real life is that my BFFs and I (seven of us) all have different taste/preference in men (I'm in my late 40s now). The bad thing is that sometimes we have a hard time understanding why we pick that type of guy, but at least there will never be anyone crushing over/trying to steal another one's boyfriend.

Yeah, she got the fund, but she'll still be so busy because the business has just started (not an ordinary life that he wants). I think other than his complex that you mentioned, it seems he feels it's futile to think about marriage with her at this point in time.

IMO about the break up:
The guys wants stability and an ordinary life, but now the BOTH of them have financial issues. FL because she just started her own start-up business, ML also had to loan money to help his dad. FL has finally gotten money for the business, but it will take time until she can finally make money.

Rewatching this. Just want to say one thing I like about Issei's youthfulness (esp. during the first part of their fireworks date) was that Hayame gets to enjoy it, too. Considering the fact that during her teenage years, she had to juggle school with a lot of part-time jobs (fighting people a lot as well as dealing with a drunkard of a dad), she probably didn't really have time to have fun like other kids back then. I also remember the scene where Hayame took off Issei's shoes and threatened to throw them away and they were smiling/laughing while chasing each other.

Even though Hayame is 10 years older, she couldn't really enjoy her youth and to me, it makes more sense that Issei can bring up the youthfulness in her (compared to the more serious, responsible Seigo).

I reaaaally don't get why some people only want it to be about the kids when all of Ina's most interesting interactions…
As to your side note, at first I also felt weird about liking out of nowhere, but I tried to remember myself when I was around that age. I had a splatter of sudden crushes on guys during that period of time. Even guys I never had any contact with (simply crushing on him from afar and one of the guys I had a crush on was even around 4-5 years older than me HAHAHAHAHA...though this one I had some contact with, so I did know him a little bit. So when I remember how I was back then, I can relate to that. It's more about liking the outer appearances/vibe of the guys (even when I don't know a thing about them).

Oh, I'm glad I wasn't the only one bothered by the "lost dog" comment.
I know. Dogs and pets can be considered like family members, but of all the things he could say, he chose that kind of remark. I mean, if I were the woman, I wouldn't be happy to hear that (it's a far cry from something heart-fluttering) ha ha ha ha...

One thing this drama is good at: showcasing the intricate and complex relationships between people and also giving glimpses of the complexity of the human emotions. The talk between Hae In's dad and Hyun Woo's dad in the kalguksu restaurant is a prime example of this. The cause and effects of different family histories, different events affecting different people, the ripple effects of one's traumatic experience towards the rest of the family members, etc. etc. etc.

When Soo Cheol finally managed to get in touch with the wifey, it was touching to see the messages he sent her. He truly truly truly cares a lot about the baby boy (also the wifey). Despite not being the brightest bulb in the room, he has endearing qualities.
