Day 5 The never ending saga...Instead of asking repeatedly in the comments about:Is there a love triangle? The…
Will they break up? Honestly they just got together and already you want them to break up. What a bunch of Drama Queens. Then they will ask “Is it a happy ending ?” 🤣🤣🤣 good job @Val W ... your post should have been pinned <3
I would say, he fell in love with her before she dies, but he kept it a secret. I also don't know why he had to…
I agree with you on the part "I respect the writer's choices but they could have introduced what happen differently ..." Maybe the scriptwiters of the drama do not want to take a risk hence they followed the standard (err templated) storyline . As to novel, the story is what made it unique from all other novels.
I usually want to complete watching drama before I will give my rating hence, it was only now that I finished watching (waited until all EPs were dropped)
I do not want to compare but here it is. Novel: the love story between the shadow master and the assassin was retained all throughout which made the novel interesting with the ML maintaining his brilliance at using the assassin while falling in love with her Drama: it started following the novel at first but later it veered into a totally different story which is the predictable imperial sibling rivalry and politics - the ml became a weak and not-so-brilliant schemer , the female general had a change of heart (LOL) - adunno where scriptwriters get this idea (when the character of second FL was already revealed as strong-willed and stubborn)
What should have been: I really would have wanted the see the part where both FL and ML were trapped in an "eternal formation" (novel) rather than them just walking around and getting hungry when at first FL was able to gather wild fruits for their sustainance (drama). ML did not fall in love with FL while on revenge - it was when FL "died" that he realized he cannot live without her.
In all, I can rate this drama as good enough but not best. The actors played well: FL, as usual, is best in character portrayal of assassin - she is near to perfecting this type of role ML is good but still have to do better in internalizing his multi-faceted character as shadow master, flamboyant crippled prince, and schemer for the throne
yes, it's her story.....it begun with her desire for freedom, now she 'escaped' from pearl diving, but isn't free…
ay yay yaii hahaha..... the price of freedom in ancient times right? 😂 but really her price of freedom is filial piety - knowing who her father is and what happened to her father which is tied to the blood pearl and she has already said this as the reason why she would not leave the ship...
LOL... it is like serving two masters: one is the devil who tells her to lie, cheat and scheme while the other says to be good and honest like an angel... 😂😂 pearl here is only a thing.. the story is more about the morals and triumphs of an ancient merchant
EP1 rewatch: shop owner: You want to buy my shop? For what business? LMT: We deal in funeral goods.... We'll hang two elegy characters on both sides... show owner: niyieeee 😬😬😬😬 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Happy Halloween everyone 😂
has been a while for my favorite actor - excited for this! 🥰
Will do the rating per EP and done with verification :)
all EPs has to be dropped before I start watching <3

EP 9 is like "am I going to still continue with more and more oppression being done to ml?" 😭😭😭
She does looked more like a lady bandit than a Lady 😂 😂 😂

Not quite sure why some readers here do not bother to read most comments for their question to be answered 😂 😂
