Apparently she is supposed to write the script for Crossing the Line 2, so she is coming back :)

Sorry, but this is just a mess. It started out as a rather serious series with some silly, but interesting humor,…
Many people, myself included, were commenting that the writing is not that good, and that the show basically had no plot, or the little it had was put there for as many fan-service moments as they can get away with. Now that people did not get the ending they wanted suddenly everyone woke up and saw that the emperor had no clothes all along...

I just made an account on this website to comment WHAT THE FCK WAS THAT ENDING??! IM SO MAD. I just got into BL…
My personal favorite will always be History3: Trapped, however I guess History2: Crossing the Line is also quite ok, from the Thai ones: TharnType is pretty good.

I'm really really curious to know what taiwanese fans thinks about the ending. If someone knows please tell me…
Adam Uni posted on his FB that Taiwanese and Chinese were outraged on every possible forum. Take that as you will :)

Ah ok, I see now your point :) yeah, that makes sense.

That is only the Netflix model, the binge-watching model. Most shows still keep the one episode per week structure, and the 24 episodes per season are not even all filmed by air date, they usually are only 3-4 episodes ahead. At least the American system works like this. I don't know if any Asian shows have been made availabe all at once. Most reviewers either review per episode or per a stated number of episodes received by the producers.

I don't know why MDL accepts reviews from people who didn't finished the show LOLPeople on the review section…
That's how professional reviews work most of the time though, journalist are sent three-four episodes in advance and they have to write a review based on that. I think as far as the person states that their review is based on just the first two or whatever number of episodes they watched, they shouldn't be forced to watch it until the end if they don't enjoy it, just for their opinion to be justified.

In the grand scheme of things, Yu Shi Gu truly won. Imagine getting lucky enough to find someone as loyal, caring,…
The question is if men like Hao Ting ever actually existed, or was it always a fantasy in dramas? ;)

This is tied for my second favorite BL of 2019 (behind MODC, and tied with He's Coming to Me). I'm always waiting…
Well, of course it does not have any plotholes, the conflict between the characters is so contrieved and manifactured, it's like something an aspiring writer still in high school have written. I do appreciate this show for the high production values, but most of the drama is so cringe.

Title TharnType
My only issue for this episode was that the music for the break-up scene was not sad enough, I would've used Barber's Adagio for strings, the song they used is romantic, not sad. The words did not match the action at all.

What I can say so far is that this series is interesting because it examines the ... texture of male/male love…
I totally agree with what you've written. Very often I see people crying over representation (especially in video games) and I always thought what's the big deal, there are plenty of gay characters in games and tv shows, however, not until I discovered Thai and Taiwanese BL I truly felt what representation means, these dramas gives us such a deep focus of male/male love and eroticism, like in no other medium, in the sea of hetero relationship we are constantly exposed to. I feel that even though the desired target demographic for these shows are straight women, the gay population is in a desperate need for more positive, heart-warming stories because most are drowning in loneliness, depression and fear of being accepted (according to reddit). To me personally, these shows have restored some faith in humanity, as I find gay culture so sex-centric and commitment-phobic, so big thanks to producers in these countries for giving us a bit of hope :)

Last rant for the day. If you are coming to 'critique'or give your 'opinion'on this show, please, PLEASE come…
Can't we put lestay as the official judge and jury of opinions on MDL? Who from the admin team i need to contact to make this happen? We can't allow any more "lame" opinions in the comment section!

Everyone can critique whatever they want, get off your soapbox, I find your rants lame.

They don't talk about makeup?!? Maybe we are watching a different show, because the product placement can not…
I've noticed also the juice thing, but this show has taken it to another level, like showing other people instagram posts about new makeup products and buying lipstick for 10 minutes, together with the cooking part, the actual script for each episode must be tiny.

I agree with you about everything, except that they should or had already, received hate for Trapped. What I've…
People should really find a hobby, obsessing so much about fictional characters or tv shows is not healthy. If you hate it, don't watch it. I also heard horrible stories about the writer of The Untamed, she also got so bullied she deleted social media accounts and people spreading false rumors online that she is in jail. :/

I have no evidence on how Trapped was accepted by chinese and taiwanese audience so I can only go by your word. I do remember that, I think @Sayd wrote that at the History II Party fan meeting the producer was asked about History4 and if they will feature again a more mature storyline to which it was said they are still thinking about it. So, I guess some Taiwanese enjoyed Trapped.

However, your assessment that The Untamed was very confusing is a very subjective opinion. I've personally never heard of the novel before the drama, and except for the first 3 episodes (mostly because they use 3 different names for everybody) I did not find it confusing at all. And my friends, who never even watched Chinese dramas before, were also as addicted as me, never before reading the book. I did read a couple of chapters from the translation online afterwards - it had that 'Twilight' quality of writing which I do not enjoy.

I find it very counterintuitive that people need to know the ending to enjoy a drama. Maybe it's just me.
