If we are being a little less dramatic, they did not waste taxpayer's money at all. Whether you are happy how Trapped or MODC ended or not is a personal experience, the production value of both shows was really high, and quite frankly a whole level above thai bl shows (maybe a small exception for 3 will be free, which was also excellent). They managed to produce a 20 episode season this year with average of 45 mins per episode, which is on par with a traditional american tv show season with what, i can imagine, was only a fraction of the budget for an american show in a relatively niche genre. i'm not sure how big a company is Choco Media but they should be proud of themselves. I hope they continue with HIStory4 and I'm looking forward to buying the DVD for MODC to sit next to the one for Trapped.

You are 100% right on Kao's wardrobe. Everything he wore was soooo unflattering, compared to Pete, who was alway dressed perfectly. It's a shame, since New actually has a pretty nice body and would look amazing in a tight t-shirt. Some people are claiming this is to show that Pete=rich, Kao=poor, but c'mon you don't need milions to buy something else than 3/4 trousers! On the other hand, the shirts Tay wore for 3 will be free were also atrocious. Maybe the same person was in charge!?

Let's be honest, Type is a jerk. And he is not a jerk only to Tharn, but also to his own friends as well (he is constantly hiting or threatening to hit Techno), and even random strangers (that gay dude in the bar, that spoke english with a russian accent). But that's what makes him interesting, he is not the typical "i'm too shy to even kiss" personality we usually see in BLs. He is hot tempered and shoot first ask questions later. I find him entertaining :)

I don't know about kdrama's, but there are thousands of examples in Hollywood, the most famous probably being Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. I don't see what the problem is in the BL community, what people claim as couples having amazing chemistry mostly comes from actually liking the other person and when you act to be in love with someone all the time, it's easy to be confused that you are really attracted to that person, to a certain degree. This whole online drama has a faint hint of homophobia, who cares if Mew had or did not have feelings for another guy, but of course it does not fit some fans narrative that all the actors in BLs are "only gay for pay". However, what is not ok, is to go online and make videos about it. What this Art person wanted to achieve with this, is for me, unclear. Did he want to jump on the #metoo bandwagon? Did he deliberately want to start drama to make himself more talked about? Who knows.

I binge-watched it today, to see how it holds up when you can watch all episodes continuosly and i can happily report that it does hold together rather nicely. That is, until episode 7, and then it kinda falls apart. It was clear that the writer had no more clue what to do with the characters at this point. Basically the only plot point left was if Hao Ting was accepted to a suitable university, so after this has been dealt with in like 5 minutes, we are constantly teased for 3 episodes "will they/won't they" have sex. This in itself is pretty uninteresting exposition. But the writer had to fill-in the remaining episodes until the grand finale (episode 10) with something i guess.

I agree that Fluke is great, if i could cry at will like him I would be an actor too, however the guy playing Dean is starting to annoy me. He only has one face expression over 8 episodes! Well, in the last one with the bed scene he did show signs of smiling, but after that it was again serious, stoic older brother face. About the director, i don't know how people can be excited about LBC2, he is obviously very mediocre. He has his moments of competence, the aquarium scene, the first kiss scene, the beach scene in episode 8... But that's it, a few nice scenes in a sea of boredom, bad lighting, weird angles, 20 flashbacks of the exact same thing... As someone else mentioned, what happened to Manaow's love interest? He appeared in a grand total of 1 scene in episode 1 and this show has only 4 episodes left until the end.

It's actually nothing interesting... this guy called Art, who Mew was partnered with in this show called "What the duck" made a live video (facebook? Instagram?) in which he accused Mew of catching feelings for him and kissing him without permission or some such nonsense... Fans were outraged, Mew did not confirm or deny anything, some dramatic people claimed Mew's career is over... Well, they were obviously proven wrong. The end.

Oh really? Is that how it begins? Tell me more...After 8 episodes everyone and their grandmothers know that their parents were crap, it was only mentioned like 52 times. Seeing them being abused and slapped serves no purpose except for more drama and unnecessary scenes.

I don't know why this show has such a high rating, it's so mediocre in everything! At least the music is nice, bit the story is omg! I need a magnifying glass to find it between all the cooking scenes and product placement and weird pauses where we just see their faces for 10 seconds and nothing is happening... The beach scene was great, but was there a need to start another episode with parental abuse? The show must go on, i guess...

Was Manow romatic interest just for the music video? They were prominently displayed, but 8 episodes later still nothing?

Yeah, the score is in free fall, and as people catch up to the last episode in the next weeks it will probably go lower. I find it astonishing how many people complained about the ending, even in unrelated dark blue kiss comments on youtube! I do wonder what is the sample size of people watching BL... I think it deserves a solid 8, for effort :)

It's very strange when you dedicate 10 seconds at the end of each episode for sharing some "life wisdoms" only for your characters to do the most stupid things throughout the show. Kao was keeping silent though all the important moments with his mom, with Pete, with Non, but decided to tell his truth publicly on facebook LOL here is another life lesson kids, don't let problems pile up before you decide to spill your heart on facebook, this is not the grown-up thing to do :p

So, Pharm prepared lunch for everybody, but they did not introduce themselves until Dean showed up and they already finished eating? That must have been one awkward lunch (roll eyes).

Peope are now upset from that awful ending, however I'm sure the producers are more worried with how much cold hard cash this show generated. If it was financially successful there is no reason not to make HIStory4. Let's just hope no more high school setting! If they want to plagiarize a manga, I hope they do Dear Green: Hitomi no Ounowa. That would be an excellent BL.

I finally found the time to watch the last episode, and I don't know if just coming back from star wars or i'm just emotionally dead, but i did not find it that sad. It was just...weird. i think they did one smart thing, basically by the end of the episode 9 Yu Xi Gu was already dead, and then without actually showing anything, they did a straight 6 year time jump. The intention of not showing anything of the actual car accident was probably because they wanted us to focus more on how Hao Ting would move forward. However, because Yu Xi Gu had so little and struggled so much in life, by killing him off screen, made everything that happened in this show so pointless for me. Even his death was not significant, he was only there as a theater prop for Hao Ting to "find his way". Well, if they were going with this ending, why not being even bolder and showing Hao Ting going up the mountains and commiting suicide? It could've had a nice gothic "together in death" vibe.

Not necessarily... People have short memory, it will be forgotten in a couple of weeks, and people would have moved on to other shows.
