I wouldn't say I didn't care for him because Kang Ha Neul is doing a really good job. But I never liked the 8th prince character in general, so, no, I didn't like him. Although, I liked him loads better here than in the Chinese version, where I didn't like him at all.
Ratings increased in Korea and the drama ranked among top 20 for episode 13 yay.
I had to drop it because the doppleganger thing was just so stupid. And anyone who has finished it that I know of thinks it is just about the worst thing ever - a total stain on the greatness of the original. But IDK, to each her own. There are plenty of dramas I like that others loathe and vice versa. So I never really tell anyone to drop anything because I wouldn't want them to miss out on something they might like just because of my opinion.
I have read the whole manga, and watched some of the anime too. The movie trilogy is truly excellent. It is well made, well acted and although drastically condensed from the manga, it still maintains the integrity of the source material. I absolutely love these movies. They have hands-down some of the best fight scenes ever put on film. I have to admit to loving the 1st one the best as it is even works well as a standalone film, but taken as a whole it is also excellent. This trilogy deserves MUCH love!
WAIT. I know that historically, Wang So (4th Prince) had two consorts :- Empress Daemok (Crown Prince's neice)…
I think Yeon Hwa is actually Queen Daemok and the other consort is Wang So's niece, Crown Prince's daughter. Which of course makes it even worse. Oh well, old royal families were all about the incest. At least by the time Joseon rolled around they realized that it was a bad idea; meanwhile European royals were still all about the inbreeding into the 19th century.
Lee Jun Ki finally reached 1M followers on Instagram!!! And the cute part is? He posted his thanks 1 minute after…
He is just the most adorable thing on the planet. Baby seals and kittens bow to his cuteness! I saw this too and it makes me love him that much more! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeah! Looks like we are back in good form with episode 13. I mean nothing will pack the punch of 11, but 13 is a vast improvement in FOCUS, writing and directing from 12. If they could just stay focused in each episode and not jump around it will stay good.
The editing could be a lot better the episodes are all over the place..imo
Very true. I was hoping ep 11 was a sign of good things to come, but 12 was back to being a mess. There were a few better shots, so some of the directing has improved maybe. The music was not as annoying as with some earlier eps, BUT the editing and the plot went right back to being all choppy and messy.
It goes back to my belief that this drama really needed more episodes to tell its story properly. I kind of feel like they wrote it and maybe even shot it to be longer and then the station said, nope, you have to make it 20 episodes. It has some serious issues with editing and ep 12 was very bad about it. It hurts how much we care for the various character relationships and that's not good. For example, when the heck did Hae Soo and Woo Hee become friends and why didn't we get to see that?!
And I cannot feel the relationship between Baek Ha and Woo Hee because they had so little time together. It's too forced. It would have been better if the drama started with them already in a relationship instead of that unnecessary stuff between Baek Ha and Soo's cousin (like in the original Chinese where 13th and his lady were already in their relationship). I think that would have made it more believable.
1. I am totally in love with Wang So and his every hurt causes me pain. I want nothing but puppies and rainbows for him.
2. Most Kdramas are predictable...very. This one is not even remotely so. I have no clue how it will end for our leads.
3. Which is triple insane because I've seen the Chinese Scarlet Heart and I've studied up on Goryeo history.
4. After reading #3, read #2 again. This drama should be totally predictable but it's not, and that is starting to really bug me because I fear I am in for a world of pain. And not good pain like episode 11 but bad pain that causes bad things for SoSoo. I am very nervous.
So, I watched ep 12 RAW. I'm thinking I'm not going to be very happy once I watch it subbed. Argh! Episode…
LOL. I only watch shows raw when I am really addicted, so I must be really addicted. And sometimes I can follow pretty well what is happening but I think ep 12 is just too much dialog to follow. But I'm watching is subbed now.
So, I watched ep 12 RAW. I'm thinking I'm not going to be very happy once I watch it subbed. Argh! Episode 11 it ain't. Although, it looks like the director is still laying off the close ups and that is still helping IU's character immensely. She has definitely gained some gravitas from the horrible things that happened in ep 11.
Dear Mdlers/ my lovely chingus especially to the fans of Moon lovers, LJK, KHN, JH. I am begging you to watch…
I know! LJG does very little variety but he is such a natural at it! I had seen KHN before on Running Man and he was just as derpy then too. His real personality is so different from his acting one. He is really just a goofy dork and not very bright, but very cute and shy. And yet, when he turns on his acting he has amazing charisma. That's incredible.

+1
I second this! Lee Joongi is so freaking adorable in this episode. He is my favorite guest I've ever seen on the show. He has no shame and no fear. He is just wonderful in every way!
Acting is great. Directing is very good and pretty. But the plot is just too meh.
I keep desperately waiting for Lee Joongi to star in a movie that I really enjoy - something exciting and awesome like his dramas. I mean he got to show his great acting with this one, but it was just such a common melodrama that we've seen a million times before.
